Q. Hey, my husband wants to get the childrens name or date of birth tattooed on him.
He has three children, a son Caden and twin girls Bethany (Beth) and Alexa (Lexi).
& he also wants my daughter, Emmalise tattooed, we've been together 5 years and they have a great relationship.
What kind of tattoo would you suggest?
He is a teacher so can't really have any visible ones on his arm.

The best idea I have to share with you is, do not disrespect your children by getting their names tattooed onto your body--or your husbands body. Have you asked their permission? Tattoos are ugly, hideous things and you are not "honoring" anyone by getting their name inked onto your body--you are actually disrespecting them. Would you "honor" them if you painted their names on the side of a building for all to see? No, that is called graffiti, It is offensive and makes an area look blighted. Why is is OK then to use their names for a tattoo on your body? If they are minors, wait until they are age 21 and can give legal consent. Tattoos are permanent. You can not take them back. There are so many questions on this board about how to remove unwanted tattoos. Pay attention to them. They are there for a reason: People do not want to keep their tattoos. One day, probably soon, you will wish you had never gotten your tattoo(s) and will start to ask how you can get rid of them. Be smart and do not put yourself in this position.

No tattoos are cute. None. They are all ugly and hideous. Tattoos are little better than cartoons at best.

But, I think..... you want to get a tattoo on your thigh??? OMG I hope you do not! If you make that big mistake and you get one, you will experience a lot of pain and you will bleed. You will not be in a hospital or operating room, and there is a chance you will catch some vile blood-born disease like hepatitis or flesh eating bacteria. Your wound may become infected. The so-called "tattoo artist" may make a mistake and you will be stuck with the results. I strongly recommend you reconsider getting tattooed. Your body is clean now, and not profaned by any graffiti, but that will change forever if you pay some tattoo predator to ruin your body. Just don't do it is my advice to you! You have lasted this long without tattoo, do not cave to the pressure from lesser people or a sick society and take that fatal step. Everything will change for you, for the worse, after you get that first tattoo.. Let me tell you why I am so anti-tattoo and so anxious that you not take this ugly step. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. I hate tattoos and those who inflict them upon our young people. Stay in school, do your best there, avoid drinking, drugs, tattoos and piercings, and avoid those who have them.
