three hearts?
three stars?
hope i helped!

Suggestions on a tattoo? I have two kids, girl and boy.?

AriesAlway

Maybe something with their initials ( K & E )...Or maybe something like a flower and the K and E intertwined/hidden in the vines...Or something that has stars or bubbles attached and have two stars meaning for my kids...

Answer
I am a tattoo flash designer, people can make suggestions to you, but it is obvious to me you have already have something in mind. Someone just needs to pick your image from your brain and draw it up. I'm having the image that you want something femine and complimentary to your body lines. Alot also depends on the location you want the tattoo to be displayed, and since its representing your children it needs to put in a respectful area and illustrated tastefully. Don't pick out a piece of flash from someone elses book or work, have someone draw it custom to represent your spirit and your children, this way its original like you and your kids! Good luck!

What does getting a tattoo feel like?

Taylor

I wan to get a tattoo when I'm of age, but I'm scared. I have no clue what it feels like, and no friends or family have tattoos. I might get a white ink one at that. And a black one.

Answer
We write a daily tattoo blog so we have a ton of information that you could use! Don't know what you want for your first tattoo, we wrote a blog post about that:
"We suggest whatever tattoo you get, make sure its personal and small. What if you donât like your tattoo? You have to stick with it for almost ever unless you get it removed, which also takes time to get rid of. Get something like an RIP tattoo of someone that was special to you that can remind you every day of how awesome that person was. If not an RIP tattoo, get something small that is noticeable but not something extreme and loud so people wonât make fun of you about it if its a dumb tattoo that was an accident. Getting small tattoos are always a good idea because if you donât like it, its easier to remove and you itâs not too noticeable. "

Don't know what the pain will be like? Guess what, we wrote multiple articles on that too! We wrote one article called "Do Tattoos Hurt and How Will It Feel? Women Feel Less Pain Then Men?". Being a female is actually a plus because you might feel less pain. The pain will vary by person and how much each person can tolerate it. Also depends on what type of equipment the tattoo artists uses. If they use equipment with fewer needles, then obviously you will feel less pain. Tattoos in areas with softer skin will have more pain then others. Tattoo artists and surveys will show that women tolerate the pain more then men for some reason.
We also attached an image in the blog post that shows the amount of pain each part of the body hurts the most and what hurts the least. So you could look at the image and see what part hurts the least and get a tattoo there!

I will add one more post we added called "Where Should I Put My Tattoo?". You might ask why does it matter where I get the tattoo placed on my body? If you get a tattoo in certain parts of the body it might ruin the tattoo in the long run a few years down the road or it might take longer like 10+ years. It really all depends on where you get it placed on your body and if you take care of it properly. Here is an infograph on a few suggestions on where you should get your tattoo placed on your body. We thought this might be helpful on choosing where you will place your next, or first, tattoo on your body.
We also added an image here that recommends the best place to get your tattoo!

Hopefully this helps you out when your eventually get your first tattoo!

WOMEN: Do you think tattoos on a man are sexy?

tony

if so, how many is too much? see i have 4 tats already. i want to get my upper body done. in total they would be 14. too much? or acceptable.

Answer
My husband is covered in tattoos, his arms are ripped and r sleeved out in traditional black and grey, it is so sexxy. He also had all the upper part of his back done as well. I don't think 14 is too many at all. I'm sleeved out on both arms and have my upper back, lower back, my wrists and back of my neck and one on my right leg done., so in total not including the sleeves its about 32 and a lot of guys think it sexxy on a girl. So ya go all out on ur tattoos girls with the right state of mind will love it, girls who don't r most like too judgemental anyways. Good luck and have fun!

Please help with tattoo!?

I want to get a half sleeve that has to do with my astrological sign which is Libra. The qualities of Libra completely represent me but I'm having a really hard time thinking of how I can transform the Libra personality into a tattoo. I don't want the glyph or the scales. Something creative and different. I originally wanted a pin up girl half sleeve/
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

http://www.libra.arollo.com/personality.html

i was thinking of a classic gil elvgren pinup putting on makeup (libras love beauty and are a bit superficial) and pink roses (libras flowers)

Answer
you could do the pin up girl with the pink roses in her hair tucked behind her ear, doing her make up, holding a mirror and on the back of the mirror it could say "The Finer Things In Life". She could even have her back to you, and looking in a mirror putting on makeup ,so you could see her face, with that quote somewhere in the mirror, or tattooed on her back...that would be hot...Libras do like the finer things in life...You could even have her tatted up with old school hearts..or put the flowers on her as a tattoo, I like tattoos with tattoos...sorry if you don't just an idea!

I don't get why that guy up there is even in the tattoo section since he thinks they're so trashy. whatev, get out of here!!!!! I think he looks old and ugly, Maybe a tattoo would make him look better.

I'm getting a tattoo for my 17th birthday(Yes I do know you have to be 18)
And I have no ideas of what to get at all. The idea of choosing something that has to stay with my through my life is daunting.
Ive googled tattoo designs but nothing good comes up. So any ideas?
Im looking for something artistic. Im a girly girl. Nothing too big. Any ideas?
Also would I be able to design my own and hand it in to the tattoo artist?

Answer
Ask yourself why do you feel that you have to get a tattoo, when you have no idea what you want, and you're not sure how you feel about having one for your whole life. What's your hurry? Someone holding a gun to your head?
Really, it is a good rule of thumb, to not get a tattoo, unless you have an image/idea that you thought of yourself, always related to, or just 'knew' that it was right for you. If you have nothing in your head, please don't just grab something, just to do it. There are a lot of other good ideas for your 17th birthday gift.
If you 'just have to do it' .. well my advise would be to go for a flower. (unless you hate them..) but they age well, there is a huge variety or shape, style, color, and size. They can be placed anywhere and go with anything. When you are old, you will still love your flower.
So, now you think, look, search, (if you really want one). Or wait,.. there is no hurry.
Here is a good source site:http://tattoo.about.com/
Here are a few tattoo worthy flowers:

http://dpnow.com/galleries/data/500/2007-03-15-purple-flower-2-.jpg
Make sure that you find a well established, experienced, licensed artist, and that way you won't be looking for a cover up tattoo, or laser removal within 5 years.
Good luck with your decision.

Matching tattoo questions! ?

So I'm getting a matching tattoo with my best friend (let's go past the "you shouldn't do it" lecture because our minds are pretty much made up) here's the problem... We have been friends for a while and HE has been there for me ALWAYS. I know people say a guy and a girl can't never be friends but we have an awesome friendship, more like a family bond type of thing.
Anyways, he's moving back to California (I'm in VA) and we wanna get a matching tattoo before he leaves that's gonna say "Forever isn't long enough" to symbolize our friendship. Here's the question.. I have a boyfriend and even though he knows this guy is just my friend, I'm afraid of how my bf is gonna react. I haven't talked to him about it... What do you guys think?

Answer
Honestly, Get the tattoo. Discuss it with your boyfriend just to get his feedback. If he's okay with it then good for you! But if he wants to pull the "I'm your boyfriend and I'm the only man in your life" stuff then still get it. This friendship means loads to you. Some boyfriend shouldn't tell you what to get on your body. It's YOUR body.

Tattoos for scar coverage?

Odette Jon

Years ago I used to be a self harmer, the scars left behind arnt as bad as some that I've seen but they are noticeable & it's awkward when people notice, I hate it. So I was thinking of getting a tatto on my left fore arm, kind of like a sleeve but not so full on coverage. What are your opinions, should I go for it or not? Im desperate to cover the scars but I also know that if I didn't have the scars, I probably would never have a tattoo on my arm. X

Answer
Definitely get it! There's this world famous tattoo artist in Seattle who does a lot of cover up tattoos for various scars, for anything from breast cancer to scars. She's really amazing. I don't know where you live, but I'm sure there are tattoo artists by you that can do a good job. Just make sure they are skilled enough. Anyways, take a look at this woman's page...click on 'portfolio' and then click 'cover ups'. It has both the before and after photos

Question about a tattoo?

Alex

My girlfriend wants this tattoo but she was wondering how long it will take and how much it will cost? Any extra advice would be appreciated :)
http://tattooingtattoodesigns.com/media/photos/sexy/894_small-heart-tattoo-for-women-935917316.jpg

Answer
Tattoo like that shouldn't take more than an hour, and really shouldn't cost more than $50. But all shops are different. Some advice, I've gone into shops before with a clear idea of exactly what I want. Good artists who want to show off might ask if they can play around with the idea a little and make the tattoo something unique that showcases their artwork. Just be receptive to that, they can come up with some really cool stuff you might enjoy. Otherwise, can't really think of anything else. Good luck with your new tattoo!

Women with tattoos?

Females with lots of tattoos: Who are they as an expression? Give me some samples of what a tattoo expresses about one self and why would a female need to express who they are with tattoos? I am trying to not be judgemental.

Answer
KAT VON D from LA ink has a tattoo of her mother, her favorite composer Beethoven i believe, they are portraits- she also has a huge hollywood name tattoed on her for her love of hollywood- so as far as i am concerned it is an expression of who she is- many have tattoos of things they like/words that have symbolic meaning in their life- quotes are tattooed on many- so are flowers which symbolize growth- tattoos arent just about marking your body- but marking your body with things you love/things that remind you of good times in your life/good people in your life-

a person with a lot of tattoos likes artwork-
doesnt mean he/she is ugly or rude or slutty or crazy-
many celebrities have tattoos-
even some people in corporate america-
long time ago prostitutes and sailors had tattoos-
now many of all walks of life get them-
they are expensive too many can't afford a lot-
watch LA INK with Kat von D- she isnt slutty or nasty, she is smart, fun, and enthusiastic- so not all low lives have tattoos-

Tattoos...?

alika613

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo but I don't exactly know anybody who has one so I was wondering if anyone here could tell me about theirs. Like has anyone you met ever asked you about it (I want to be a teacher so I don't want it to interfere with me getting a job)? Do you now wish you hadn't gotten one? Would you get another? Did you have any health risks? Do you want it removed? Do some find it... immature? Are they easily viewed depending on where you have it?
What's your tattoo of? Did it take long and how long? How much did it cost? How big was/is it? Black and white or colors? Does it hurt more depending on where you got it? Do certain places pose greater health risks? How old were you? Did anyone try to talk you out of it? Did it look like you wanted it to? Pretend I know nothing, about tattoos I mean, which is pretty much the case. Tell me about it. Is there a story behind it?

-Alika613

Answer
True story: I always wanted a tattoo. Not a million plastered all over my body, just one awesome tattoo. I was debating over the art and graphics and finally decided on a sun around my belly button. (I was 20 years old).

While I was in the chair, waiting for the guy to set up, I had doubts...I mean, I was going to be a third grade teacher after all (our stories are alike) and the same exact "what if's" that you are worried about right now were scurrying about my brain, so I sadly packed up and left...without my tattoo.

I left still wanting one...I just didn't trust myself that in my 20 year-old moment, what I wanted that day would be longlasting. To make it easier for me to deal with not getting it at that split second, I made a deal with myself. If I still wanted one at 30, I would proceed.

Well, today I am 32 and I just got my first (and last) tattoo! After four children, I am SO HAPPY that I did NOT get the original tattoo around my belly button because Lord knows I have no reason to show that off anymore, BUT I did get a tattoo that I will love forever...

My kids' names on the small of my back in Japanese. I am part Japanese so I wrote it out myself to ensure they got it right. All black except red hearts that separate each name. Time? 20-30 minutes. Cost $100.

There are risks, but if you go to nice clean place, it is fine. I pasted a link below to research things you need to look for when choosing a parlor.

I do not regret it at all.

SO, my answer (sorry so long-winded), once you are SURE what you want, go for it and don't be afraid to wait for minute or two...your tastes will change and evolve as no doubt you will as a young woman. Maybe you too can set a date for a tattoo when your flirty and thirty! :) Good luck!

Women w/ tattooed sleeves only!?

bakey3434

I'm seriously thinking about getting a 3/4 sleeve on my left arm. I've been mulling it over for the past 2 years. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to do it. I have an idea of what I will want on my arm for the rest of my life. I know that the tattoos that I get will have meaning. I've read a fair amount of different info on tattooed women. What I want out of this posting is how your life changed when you started or completed your sleeve. Did people treat you differently? Friends or family? In public situations, work? How and where? Do you have kids? How do your tattoos affect that aspect of your life? Do you regret any of your tattoos? Just anything, however minuscule you think it is. I would love to hear it. Everyone I've asked has just told me to do it and I need some kind of other opinion. Please serious replies only. Don't write something here just because you need points. Thank you to everybody who read this and replies seriously.
I have 2 tattoos on my back already. I'm not asking because I care what people think about me, I'm just interested to see what peoples experiences are. Thank you again

Answer
I am female, age 48 and I currently have 25 tattoos. I didn't get my first one until I was 44. I do not yet have an arm sleeve tattoo, but I will in the future. I do have what I consider leg sleeve tattoos on both of my legs from the knees down - fully covered. My left leg is a complete Alice on Wonderland theme. Yes, I do find that people treat me differently, but that is their problem not mine. I find that most people I encounter think that because I am female and have so many tattoos that I must be homosexual -- I have never heard a more crazy thing, but then again so many people stereotype based on looks alone. I am lucky enough to work for a Software Company that accepts the way I look regardless of tattoos. I have a daughter age 19 and she has several tattoos as well. In fact, we usually go together and get them. My husband has no tattoos at all. I do not regret any of my tattoos. I find it is a great way of expressing myself. I consider my body a canvas and my tattoos to be works of art. I have a great respect for the few people that I have encountered that have actually taken the time to ask me about my tattoos and their meanings. NEVER let anybody tell you what you can and can't do with your body! Do what you like and like what you do!

What kind of tattoo should I get?

Laura E

I have had a pretty tough year and would like to get a symbol of some kind that represents strength or strong woman, or surviving. I would also like for it to be small and to be able to put it somewhere discreet, if that helps.

Answer
www.tattoojohnny.com

I love tats with words so maybe incorporate and quote that symbolizes strength/courage with a picture....maybe silohouttes of doves flying upwards on ankle above a quote in fancy cursive font wrapped around your ankle

http://quotations.about.com/cs/inspirationquotes/a/Challenge5.htm

trees, birds, are very symbolic (free, independent, strong)

Attractive places for women to have tattoos?

Steve

Just wherever, belly, wrist, back, shoulder, neck, ankle, etc.
Also, do you prefer images or words?

Answer
Neck or shoulders maybe. Never words or copies of real pictures. Those always turn out bad. A nice little flower type thing or a heart looks nice, but don't go for bright colors. Thats my preference anyway

Opinion on girls with tattoos...?

phoenix569

I've been thinking about eventually getting another tattoo, not for a while due to my last tattoo (I got the biggest piece I ever wanted done, so I'm pretty satisfied for the time being.) Anyway, my boyfriend of 2 years isn't crazy about them. I didn't get my 2 tattoos done without his approval, so it's not like he's mad or anything. I'm just curious as to what a lot of other guys/people think about them. There are certain tattoos I would LOVE to get, such as behind the ear or my wrist but then the side of me with morals kicks in. Some reason it bothers me to think of having a tattoo on my left wrist, the same hand I will wear my wedding ring but I've always felt like the right was a bad idea because that'll be the first thing someone sees if you shake their hand. I also think a lot about tattoos that would make it almost inevitable to cover up when I eventually get married. Don't get me wrong, I love my tattoos. But out of respect for my family, I would rather them be covered not by makeup but just a dress that covers them. Anyway, any opinions on all of this? Thanks!
Ok HI, I wasn't asking for people to tell me they are trashy. I'll reiterate, open minded opinions. Also, the family isn't very religious in that sense, and they are ok with my tattoos. It's just not something that they would want out in the open on my wedding day, mainly because it's big enough to be a distraction. My other tattoo is on my foot, so that's not an issue. And this is the USA, didn't ask about women in Asia.

Answer
If you know enough to hide tattoos, then you already know you should not get any. And yet, you have them, and even want more. Something is wrong with this picture! Here is my opinion on girls with tattoos: I recommend to men that they stay away from a woman with any tattoo, anywhere. I could say the same thing to women about men with tattoos. Tattoos mean trouble. Tattoos are a huge "red flag" that means one or more of the following:
"I am a misfit"
"I will cause you big problems",
"Get to know me and you will regret it"
"I am immature",
"I am needy",
âI am foolishâ,
âI am shallowâ
âI make bad decisionsâ,
âI have no sense of right and wrong,â
âI follow fadsâ,
âI am unemployableâ,
"I have been to prison",
"I belong to a criminal gang",
"I am promiscuous",
"I work in the sex-services industry",
"I can not sustain a long term relationship".
âI will fail in my lifeâ
A tattoo is little better than a cartoonâyou canât get a good quality drawing on the human skin. It will deface your body like ugly graffiti defaces a public building. I strongly suggest that you do not get a tattoo. There is a big cost to getting a tattoo, and it is far more than wasted money. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. Most regret it within 5 years. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. The regret starts after you start to notice how people react to you. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. Your chances of getting a good job will be greatly diminishedâmost companies will not hire you since your tattoo will be seen as offensive to other workers. The majority of western people get tattooed when young and their decision making process is not yet matured. Youth tends to be impulsive. Young people are still developing and they need to be very careful in making important, permanent decisions. The reasons young people get tattooed are not mature (i.e. they want people to notice them, they want to pretentiously âhonorâ someone in a way that will attract notice, they want to pretentiously present some âdeepâ quotation on their skin in the hope that people will think they too are âdeepâ, they are rebelling against their parents or society, they are conforming to what they think are social norms, they are unable to see ahead and view the negative results of their actions, etc.) If you want to see the true level of cultural development for tattoos and other body modifications, look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwOXCmjTsvs . In a large sense, nothing illustrates the degeneration of western culture more than the entertainment industry encouraging impulsive youth to permanently disfigure themselves in order to âexpress themselvesâ. But such is the power of suggestion that more and more young people are buying into this Hollywood lie that tattoos are a cutting edge way to âexpressâ yourself. But that is so not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh. Good luck to you in your life. But do not get tattooed. Tattoos are permanent. You can not take them back. There are so many questions on this board about how to remove unwanted tattoos. Pay attention to them. They are there for a reason: People do not want to keep their tattoos. One day you will wish you had never gotten your tattoo(s) and will start to ask how you can get rid of them. Be smart and do not put yourself in this position.

Side tattoo...?

Q. Would people who have side tattoos (not on ribs, though) or tattoo artists/piercers(who have them)....talk to me about them.
The pain
The look
and any other information that you would like to add!

Thank you!

Answer
Surely. I have a geisha on each side, from my ribs to my hip. I'm not going to lie or try to act tough, it was the most painful thing I've ever experienced! Especially on the bony areas. They were the only tattoos that I almost didn't finish in one sitting, though I eventually pushed myself through it. When getting a side tattoo, especially for a woman, it's important to get something that enhances you shape. They should flow well with you curves so you don't end up looking weird. Mine came out beautiful and they make my hourglass figure look even more svelte.
And like the people above have said, if you plan on having kids, don't do it. They will look horrible after pregnancy.

Tattooed women (age 40+)?

DESTRUCTO!

Hello Ladies! For my 21st birthday I want to get a feminine tattoo in honor of my mom and grandmother. I know exactly what I want but I would also like to hear from any women out there who are at least 40 years of age with tattoos.

1. Do you regret them? (of course I would ask this)
2. Have you experienced any discrimination because of it, like at work, public, etc.?
3. What do you recommend for placement? ( I was thinking my arm, but I would like to hear from others)

Thank you for your responses :)

Answer
Happy birthday, but before getting yours done, know some important facts about tattoos.

If you don't think you'll get an allergic reactions to the ink, the FDA have gotten reports from people who have, and I have read it several times on YA TATTOOS.

Some tattoo colors are harder to remove than others. Laser treatments can turn some tattoos darker instead of lighter, or change them to a different color. The same goes for "permanent makeup," which is a kind of tattoo. It depends on what ingredients went into the tattoo ink to produce the color.

But it can be hard to find out what's in tattoo inks because they usually don't have ingredients listed on the label. Very often, even the tattooist doesn't know what's in the tattoo ink because the company that made it considers the formula "proprietary" (pro-pry-uh-tar-ee). That means it's a trade secret.

Here are some more facts about tattoos:
â¢FDA has not approved any color additives for injection into your skin.
â¢People who get a tattoo should not give blood for a year afterward because of the chance of infection.
â¢Although it happens only very rarely, some people may have an allergic reaction to the dyes used for tattooing. Imagine being allergic to something that's been injected into your skin.
â¢Or, the tattooist may make a mistake. Who wants to wear someone else's mistake forever?

Speaking of forever, how often do you change your mind about your hair, your earrings, or the clothes you like to wear? It's not so easy when you change your mind about a tattoo.

Although many "temporary tattoos" are legal, some -- especially some of those imported from other countries -- are illegal in the United States because they use color additives that are not approved for use on the skin. FDA has had reports of people having allergic reactions to temporary tattoos.

What about henna temporary tattoos? Henna is a brown to reddish brown dye made from a plant. It is approved only for use on the hair, not the skin. If it is black, or any other color besides brown or reddish brown, it contains other ingredients. It also may contain other ingredients to make the stain darker, make the skin absorb the color more easily, or make the stain last longer.

Could these ingredients hurt you? It depends. Individuals are different and may be sensitive to different things. If you don't know what the ingredients are, it's impossible to tell what they might do if you put them on your skin.
http://www.webmd.com/fda/think-before-you-ink-are-tattoos-safe
According to a poll conducted in January 2012 by pollster Harris Interactive, 1 in 8 (14%) of the 21% of American adults who have tattoos regret getting one. And the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) reports that in 2011, its doctors performed nearly 100,000 tattoo removal procedures, up from the 86,000 performed in 2010.
Unfortunately, removing a tattoo is not as simple as changing your mind.
Artists create tattoos by using an electrically powered machine that moves a needle up and down to inject ink into the skin, penetrating the epidermis, or outer layer, and depositing a drop of ink into the dermis, the second layer. The cells of the dermis are more stable compared with those of the epidermis, so the ink will mostly stay in place for a personâs lifetime. Tattoos are meant to be permanent.

An effective and safe way to remove tattoos is through laser surgery, performed by a dermatologist who specializes in tattoo removal, says FDA's Mehmet Kosoglu, who reviews applications for marketing clearances of laser-devices.

2. Allergic retains to temporary and permanent tattoo inks: Reaction to tattoo inks, whether it is a temporary or permanent, is common. Studies indicate that red and yellow inks are most likely to cause allergic reactions to the skin, whereas black, purple, and green pigments have been found to be less allergic. These reactions are generally triggered by exposure to sunlight.
3. Scarring. Tattoos may lead to scar tissue. As the body attempts to remove the foreign substance (ink), bumps or small knots may form around the tattoos. Some skin conditions can also worsen due to tattoos.
4. Symptoms of an infection are: red rashes, swelling and pain. Skin Infection can take 2-3 weeks for an infection to appear.

what do you think of tattoos on girls?

Dancerrr

Do you think tattoos on girls look nice ?

Answer
HOT hot hot!

I LOVE girls with tattoos... it gives them more of a sex appeal or something, and makes them look tougher, although it depends on where the tattoo is and what it is a picture of. But yeah, I love tattoos on girls. When I'm old enough, I'm gonna get some too!

A smoking hot girl in this case. Tramp stamps, arm sleeves, small ones on back and wrists etc. Does it affect your opinion of her judging by appearance?

Answer
Personally, I love tattoo's and with that, I love tattoo'd girls, however unfortunately society does judge people, and it does judge the tattoo'd! Maybe this is a question best to be asked elsewhere, not in the tattoo section, as it will be full of like minded people. :)

Opinions on upper arm & foot tattoos on women?

Felicia

I'm not sure wether I like them or not. I think they look cool on some people and horrible on others. I'm trying to decide if i should get a tattoo in those areas. It would be like a 1/4 or 1/2 sleeve, and a tiny foot design. What do you guys think? Guys & Girls can answer

Answer
How it looks definitely depends on the person and how it looks to OTHERS is subjective as well.
I like well done foot tattoos, I think they're rather pretty and cute, I'm not typically a fan of sleeves but there's always exceptions :)
I would try them out to see how you liked them and if you're comfortable with other's reactions. There are two methods for this.
You can draw them on with a marker. This is better for text or smaller works but can also be done for bigger projects for the very patient. Here's some very devoted people who did this ( http://anda-chan.deviantart.com/art/Fun-Ghoul-01-271433149 )
You could get a Temptu, a temporary tattoo, they are rice paper tattoos that can last up to two weeks. ( http://www.faketattoosleeves.com/Temporary-Tattoos.html )

Hope this helps. Good luck!

guys what u think about tattoos on a women's foot?

Rayray

do u like them? u think its cute? cute if not to big? explain what u think

Answer
Tattoos look great. I think it is cute when someone gets a tattoo on their foot, a girl I knew got the state of WV on hers and it turned out great. But you have to remember the not so good parts contrasting the they look cute part. Remember that tattoos are permanent. There are removal treatments but they are costly. When you get older that dolphin will turn into a whale. Also another thing is some inks contain metal. Down the road if you need an MRI having metal in the ink can possibly burn the skin. These are just a few side effects. Although tattoos are really cute. I'm sure the tattoo would look good but before making a decision make sure you know it is the right choice and it is exactly what you want. I hope everything works out for you :)

Yankees tattoos (for girls)?

If You Wan

I'm a diehard Yankees fan, and I would really like to get a tattoo in the next year or so. It would probably be on my ankle, and no bigger than 1 1/2 to 2 inches. I have some ideas: the interlocking NY colored navy blue, the other Yankees logo (the hat and bat one) or Yankees in script or something like that. Any ideas or opinions?

Answer
Best idea I have is to forget about getting a tattoo.

âResearch shows that women face more social stigma than men regarding tattoos. Women with tattoos are more likely to have them removed because of embarrassment, body image, or career concerns.
Researchers from Texas Tech University found that women with tattoos are more than twice as likely to have them removed (as compared to men with tattoos). Most women are happy with tattoos when they get them, but their feelings changed within the next one to five years.
In this study, women found that tattoos began to cause embarrassment, and stopped being a source of uniqueness. Women with tattoos often have to hide them, which limits clothing options and increases feelings of self-consciousness.â

tattoos?????

jellytot24

ive got 6 tattoos after my first one i had one every month for 4 months then had one wen my baby was bored. so wat you think addictive and great or anti social and should be hidden and not done at all
i meant two lol
after baby was born...i not sure how to edit the question lol
they are all tattoos tht represent something about me

Answer
Take a break baby. I have 2 tats. They are meaningful to me and subtle. But i do like body piercing.

You are behaving in an addictive fashion having so many so fast. You might be smart to stop for awhile. Tattoos are expensive and you have a baby. Consider that aspect of it. at your age you might think these are grand, but you truly have NO IDEA what your mindset will be in 10 or 20 years. I know a girl 26 and she has 24 tats she got when she was 16, 17. There is nothing she can wear where you cannot see them because her taste was quite different from what it was back then.

My daughter at that time got 3 tats. Her thing is piercing. Mine is too.

I will tell you how it is addictive. It hurts, of course. With both practices they are sticking needles into your flesh.

Anti social only if you have "F#ck off" tattooed across your face!

There is nothing like the first tattoo. It's like, all of a sudden, you're part of something bigger than you are. The pain, the rush, the hum of the machine, it's like a having a religious experience

Like any other addictive act, you have to exercise some control and set limits.

Wait a minimum of two years between tattoos.

Learn how to meditate, so you can go to the mental state you found on the tattoo table. Try to determine whether it's the mental state you crave, or having more tattoos. Use our principles to design personal tattoos.

Last, but not least, if you find that you are not going to stop getting tattoos, plan out your body art. You want to be a painting, not a billboard

Some people find getting a tattoo will snap them out of a depression for a while. The human body "rewards" you with endorphins to deal with pain. So the tattoo usually hurts only for the first 5 - 10 minutes and then you either feel numb in that area or you feel very good all of a sudden.

I always feel like I accomplished something really good after getting a tattoo, and that's a good feeling. Of course, being rewarded with a beautiful tattoo is an even better feeling. But I can get that same feeling with a fresh or enlarged piercing so that is where I go with it now.

Those endorphins are mighty powerful.

Honestly, most people do end up getting more than one. I personally don't see anything wrong with that. A lot of people feel off-balance with just one tattoo. In my opinion there are three major rewards to getting tattooed.

1) "Runners high" or endorpins after enduring something stressful like getting a tattoo or running 4 miles.

2) The feeling of accomplishing something, enduring stress towards the higher end of a beautiful design on your skin forever.

3) Attention from people, in which the tattoo is appreciated for it's beauty or "coolness".

What's the animated song that has an old man with black wings tattooing a heart? The animation almost looks 3D?

Josh

The main line of the music is piano. It shows a story of a man and a woman in love and they take a trip to the carnival. The woman ends up cheating on the man with the circus clown so he kills himself. After he's crumpled on the pavement a large old man pulls his heart out with his cane. Throughout the entire video the old man is tattooing the events that led to the man's death on his heart.

these words are inspired from a vivid dream i had the other night.

"sharpie tattoos"

Im a feeling without a shadow
Donât shine light I swear im allergic
Try to create me a friend
And find failureâs the only option
I said, you said, they said
The sun is god among all
Like a titan, a vigilante deity
We decide, commit deicide
Are there cracks forming in my atoms?
My skin is leaking electricity
Fortune tellers foretold this light show
Doctors will stitch the fissures

Any moment weâll tear down these walls?
Any moment these walls will close in on us?

A bridge that links my memories
Past, present, future leads
To sharpie tattoos connecting
The murals painted on my arms
I see your beauty laid out in henna
A visual woman such as yourself
Can paint my eyes in three dimensions
Deep blue in 2Dâ¦too deep in 3D
Music drives into my ears on the dance floor
Like a marionette my feet will alternate
Under the spin light
My life goes beat beat beat

Will we tear down these walls?
Will these walls close in on us?

Like the crowd Iâm moving among
My courage is bought from behind a bar
It has a taste and a bite
Like a devil in disguise
I pray when I wake itâs still just a dream
That these sharpie tatts donât fade away
Like the history Iâve left behind
But my dancing will pass the time
Iâm short in change for a phone booth taxi call
Walking can be such a drag
But if itâs a full moon the man will fall
Down to home
And his decent is orchestrated by passing star lights

Tear down these walls
Donât let them close in on us
just a little more info for you. lyrics aren't suppose to flow like a story or pertain along a specific subject line. its based on a dream i had that was full of randomness. i found little truths throughout the dream, hence the lines that jump around, like my dream did.

Answer
YOu have lots of meaningful lines in here. They are amazing. But sometimes they don't quite fit with the song. But you said in the question *rambling thoughts* so the lines in Sharpie tattoos fit together for you. I like every line in her. They are really deep. When I tried to picture a music video I saw it skipping to different scenes all schizophrenic. So Sharpie Tattoos could be about a schizophrenic.

Over all the lines are amazing. YOu did tend to go off topic but as you said they are rambling thoughts. :)

Tattoo/location?

livitup11

I have been wanting to get a tattoo for a long time. I would want a small-ish lotus flower that is partially bloomed. I like the idea of a lotus because its blooming represents my own personal growth, the buddhist ideals it represents, etc. The question is- where should I put it? Should I even get a tattoo at all?

I'm a relatively classy chick, and I plan on having a professional career so I need it to be in a place that is only visible when I wear slightly more revealing clothing and/or a bathingsuit. I don't want anything on my lower middle back because that just screams tramp stamp to me. The first place I would think to put it is on my pelvis over my left hipbone- where the little indent is. The only problem with that spot is that I hear tattoos there look weird after pregnancy. I would like to have kids, so this is definately a factor.

Answer

Who made the law that children cant be tattooed until they are 18?
When did women start getting tattoos?

Answer
Body modification has existed as long as the human species. It is part of culture. Tattoos can be important to many indigenous groups, as they only get tattoos representing their histories, cosmologies, etc.

Tattoos become more popular in the western world in the last 100 years or so. Military men and prisoners got them to prove they were strong. Even back then there were "tattooed ladies" however. But now they are used by just about everyone, college chicks to middle aged mothers. There are no boundaries.

The reason the minimum age is 18 is because a tattoo is a big decision. It is something you will have for your entire life. You must be responsible enough to care for it and maintain it. You must have money to get a quality tattoo. If there was no age limit, then tons of people would have horrible tattoos representing all the bad tastes we had as kids. Imagine all the Britney Spears and Nsync tattoos we would see if there had never been an age limit. Scary, really.

spine tattoos look really sexy on women. It really all depends on if you want it in a visual place. If no, then maybe your spine, side, hip, or back. If yes, then try your forearm or wrist. Maybe something across your chest as well.

Piercing and tattoo pain chart?

Maybe next

I know it's different for every person, but different places hurting less/more than others is the same for everyone (e.g getting a tattoo on your back is ALWAYS going to hurt more than your arm, whether you can handle lots of pain or not.)

Can anyone tell me which of these tattoo/piercings will be most painful, in relation to other tattoo/piercings on the body?

- Inner wrist tatto
- Full back and side tattoo
- Hip tattoo (women)
- Behind the ear tattoo
- Ankle to top of foot tattoo
- Belly piercing
- Monroe piercing
p.s to get an idea of my pain threshold, I have 2 nose piercings and 6 ear piercings (2 on the cartlidge) and I didn't even feel the nose piercings at all. The ear cartlidge hurt a fair bit though.

Answer
I have one on my hip that didn't hurt at all, I got it the day I turned 18. It was like a sharp pinch & then it was over, but it was very small.

I have larger ones on my back that hurt more, they bleed. BUT it was not unbearable pain, it was just a few sharp pinches, and then the area goes numb. When going over the bone it was more sharp feelings.

I say it is like going to the dentist, you feel small amounts of pain but you know you can not move. And if you are really feeling it, they will stop and let you take a breather.

Pretty hot and talented too.
Is he known as a chick magnet in Australia?
I think that these things are pretty much going on with sports For an example many fans talk about how attractive the players like Serena and Venus Williams, David Beckham etc... look. Not only there talent. So jinx you got it wrong. It is a perfectly affordable question.
Jinx:- Look things in a different way please. No offense or no insults what so ever. What is the point you think that it is abusive whenever i ask some thing controversial or funny about Australian player. So then should I have limitations of asking anything about Australia? I don't think it is right to question about any ones attitude or freedom to ask anything. I have nothing against your country and it is kinda sad that when a question is being asked stating true facts and common things about a player, some getting offended.
Ok. Then i hope that you agree that this doesn't confirm what you mentioned earlier in your answer. The point is you are doubting me like the way you may doubt your 5 year old daughter (when she grow up and fell in love) about having an love affair with some one. That is not just right.
So keep your faith on. Don't split it. Deep down inside i know exactly what i am doing and trust me when i tell you, it is not a disrespect by any means.
@Joeblow :- Ok. i don't know what is the reason for him to do that to you. I'd rather not comment on that. Btw I have to admit that your answer on those beautiful looking female cricketers is fine. I totally agree that It is better to talk about them instead of male cricketers on this topic.
@70's disco king- Really? I will stand up for the rights of women. LMAO.
@Jinx:- There we go man! Please don't drag my self in to what you are talking about Joe. Forget about the bottom phrase where he said about you, Joeblow's answer is the most informative and descriptive answer so far i have received to my question. It is completely stacked to what i am asking.

Have you at least give a name of a cricketer as an answer to my question. If you do then I will take your answer in to a consideration. So this has nothing to do with praising me or greasing me. I will appreciate answers with true facts and that's it.

Answer
Personally I don't find any male cricketer sexy, but Shane Watson or AB Devilliers are two of the better looking ones to women I would think. If Mitchell Johnson didn't have all that crap all over his arm then he might be as well, but that stupid looking sleeve tattoo he has would be a bit of a turn off.

The sexiest cricketer I have seen is Ellyse Perry http://withvinay.blogspot.com/2011/03/hottest-cricketing-females.html She is a bit of hot stuff! Doesn't look like a cricketer.

And Dinith really don't waste your time trying to think of what is wrong with the user you are referring to when saying "look thinks in a different way". The user has demonstrated he is a glass half empty type person. He gets his head in one way and no matter what you say or what you do his views and opinions of you will never change. This has happened with me by that user about 12 months and all this time later he still hasn't changed his views on me. but seriously it's his loss not mine.

@Mr Jinx64 - Dinith is educated and gives best answers to the answer that is actually the best. If someone comes up with an answer better than mine he will give it to them. If I answer a genuine question I give a genuine answer. Often you do that as well, but in this case you have not. If you are going to answer a genuine question then answer it properly rather than just questioning someones sexuality based on a question.

What is your opinion on tattoo's of women showing bare breasts?

Psych

What would be your first thought if you saw a person with a tattoo of a lady with bare breast? What kind of impression would that person make to you? Would your opinions differ if the person with the tattoo was a man or woman?

Answer
If it was classic 'Sailor jerry style' pinup type woman, I would think that the wearer likes old style traditional tattoos, and is wearing a piece of art and culture history. I love tatts of this style.

If it was just a random chick with bosoms exposed to cause offense or titillation(so to speak) I would think creepy and not want to be around that person.

Classic art tattoos can work for anyone who can project the image, from a salty old seadog to Amy winehouse premortem.

What do you think about girls with tattos?

MetalMania

Also what do you think about girls with piercings?

Answer
I think they are probably mentally ill, Why? Tattoos are associated with mental illness and dysfunction. Peer-reviewed scientific studies conclude that tattooed and pierced people share characteristics with the following extremely undesirable groups of suffering and damaged people: pickers burners head bangers self cutters self-injurers dangerous risk takers eating disorders self-haters substance abuser depressed socially alienated âIn 1999 The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry listed tattooing and 'excessive piercing' along with picking, burning, head-banging and cutting as forms of self-injury. In The Journal of Psychosomatic Research (2006, volume 6, issue 4), Adolescence (2002, volume 37, issue 147), The Journal of Adolescent Health (2005, volume 36, issue 4), Deviant Behavior (2009, volume 30, issue 6) and Pediatrics (2002, volume 109, issue 60), tattooing and body piercing are associated with dangerous and sometimes lethal risk-taking behavior, eating disorders, self-loathing, substance abuse, depression and social alienation.â âResearch conducted by Dr. William Cardasis at the Michigan Centre For Forensic Psychiatry reviewed the cases of patients who were considered unfit to stand trial or who were judged to be insane and found that a majority had both signs of ASPD and a strong tendency to be tattooed. Along with a strong lack of emotions, histories of mental and physical abuse and deviant behaviors, Cardasis found that almost three-quarters of his study group was tattooed. The patients who had a greater number of tattoos, who had a greater percentage of their body surface tattooed and who wore tattoos in more visible places were all found to exhibit more aggression and to be engaging in behaviors such as cheating, lying or stealing.â This research about tattoos and personality was recently published in the journal Personality and Mental Health. "Our findings suggest that forensic psychiatric inpatients with tattoos are significantly more likely to suffer from antisocial personality disorder than those without tattoos, and patients with antisocial personality disorder were also significantly more likely to have higher numbers of tattoos, a larger percentage of their body covered with tattoos, and tended to have tattoos in more visible locations" said lead researcher Dr. William Cardasis. The research by Jerome R. Koch, a sociology professor at Texas Tech University, reveals that those who have four or more tattoos, seven or more body piercings, or one "intimate piercing," are far more prone to use illegal drugs, be arrested for criminal offenses, cheat on college work, binge drink, and have multiple sex partners. Girls with tattoos on stomachs after pregnancy?

Brianna an

I was wanting to get two tattoos on my stomach, but I'm scared they will mess up once I get pregnant and my stomach stretches, so I was wondering for people who have tattoos on their stomachs and get pregnant if the tattoos mess up or if they still look good after pregnancy.

Answer
It actually depends on your skin type. I have a small tattoo about 2 inches from my hipbone that sits right above my pants. When I got pregnant it stretched a tiny bit. It is a japanese symbol and it made one of the legs of a character a bit thicker. It's really strange actually. I didn't notice it until after I gave birth. I didn't get any stretch marks on my stomach but I did get them on my breasts and my butt. I guess I just got lucky. Just don't get one too big and get it lower so there is less of a chance it will stretch.

Answer
Lol, it always surprises me how many losers there are hanging around this area for some bizarre reason when they hate tattoos! I can understand visiting an area of a board about something you were enthusiastic about and interested in, but to come on a board in which the entire topic is something you hate? Come on people, get a life!!!

Okay, firstly to quash some silly myths that have been given here -
Tattoos can not give you cancer! I would love to see that person's research on that! At worst you can pick up a blood bourne virus (such as HIV or Hepatitis) - but if you go to a professional tattooist and ask to see their licence and check they have an autoclave (sophisticated piece of sterilising equipment which is a 'must' for tattooists, anything less won't kill off the BBV's), then you will not contract a disease of any sort. The only people who get diseases from tattoos are idiots who go to unlicenced 'scratchers' or shitholes just because they can get some money knocked off. And as long as you follow your aftercare advice and keep the area clean, you won't pick up an infection, it's just like any other surface wound and scab. Your tattoo will NOT harm you if you go to a reputable place (it's worth the money), and take care of it in the following weeks. And to the silly little people saying 'don't do it, it can harm you' - please back up these 'facts' with your research in future, I'd love to see what you know that I don't :-)

As for those saying the tattoos will age and go wrinkly over time. Well we've all seen the fat old men in pubs with blurry faded sleeves haven't we, and yes they look crap. However, what most people don't realise is when you get a tattoo you should have it re-done every 10-15 years maximum (just like a boob job!). Otherwise, they will go horrible. If you keep on top of it and keep refreshing it over the years, it won't end up like that. So don't get a tattoo that you can't afford to have done again in a decade or so, unless you want it to look rubbish. As for it going wrinkly... well honestly honey, I would advise you against getting any abdominal tattoos. If you have children in the future your skin WILL stretch and I've seen some terrible resulting tattoos after a woman has had a baby. I've had a baby and looking what pregnancy did to my skin all the way down to my pubic bone, I am extremely glad I did not get a tattoo there to say the least! The back is a very good place to get tattoos as this is one of the areas of your body that stretches very little over the years (unless you gain heaps of weight!) and generally maintains its shape very well.

And to the idiots saying people get tattoos because they're 'cool' - done a survey, have you? Sure, there are the morons out there who do it for this reason. But most people with tattoos do it because tattooing is one of the oldest and most sacred forms of art, it is a wonderful way of expressing oneself, and they see their body as a natural canvas. You are welcome to dislike it, but who are you to criticise others for expressing their freedom?

ANYWAY. To answer your question:

I have three tattoos, booked in to get my fourth tomorrow, have another two designs in the pipeline, and then will be giving it a rest for a while before I get too addicted! :-)

The three I have - two large backpieces, one is a dedication to my son, one is a dedication to my mother who recently passed away. And one smaller one on the underside of my arm (at the top), of the zodiac symbols of my family entwined. The one I'm getting tomorrow is a large ring of writing again on my back, going from shoulder blade to shoulder blade in a perfect circle, encircling the tattoo I have for my son.

The two on my back were absolute agony, to the point where I wanted it to stop even if it meant having a half finished tattoo for the rest of my life! But the moment they were over I felt great and the pain made me appreciate it even more. I know the one tomorrow will be just the same, but that's not putting me off! The one on my arm hardly hurt at all, sometimes I couldn't even feel him doing it, other times it was just a mild stinging sensation.

Hope that's answered everything. I'll just say one more thing, I know you didn't mention wanting a tattoo here but I'll say anyway - please avoid getting hand/wrist/face/neck tattoos until you are in a career and know what the etiquette is. It's also best not to get forearm tattoos for the same reason until you know what you're doing in life, unless you want to wear long sleeves forever. Tattoos are great, but not when they're hindering your career.

Good luck :-)
