Girls: are tattoos sexy?

WannabeGra

Answer
Tattoos are neither attractive nor unattractive, just think before you get one "is this something I'm going to want for the rest of my life/unless i get laser removal?" Yes they crack over time, but you can get them touched up if you want to. Not EVERYONE is impulsive about what they do when it comes to body modification. An employer will NOT turn you down for having tattoos unless you're an idiot and decide to put one on your face... There are plenty of places to put a tattoo that don't scream "look at me I'm an immature kid who just wants some attention" I have a couple tattoos myself and the majority of my friends don't even know about it. Some people do it to remind themselves of things that were once a big part of their lives, if you have a good reason behind getting one go for it, it's your body do what you want...

tattoos and piercings regrets??

Q. ok so iv been wanting to get a small tattoo for about a year. do any of you who have them regret it? also cartilage piecing? do guys think a cartilage peircing is trashy?

Answer
I have always been entranced by tattoo's. I think they are beautiful when done in good taste. I especially love the japanese/chinese and religious ones.
I have wanted one for 39 years. I have survived cancer 3 times and was watching Miami Ink (love that and LA ink) and saw a girl get a rosary aroud her ankle). I have an antique Irish rosary. On my 40th birthday I marched into a reputable tatto shop and had it done. It is beautiful. The beads are green (Irish) and the cross of couse is celtic. I chose to have the cross hanging from three of the beads each one showing a time I had beat cancer. I adore it.
I don't regret it. I also don't care about some of the snide remarks I get from certain people. You know "your body is a temple....blah...blah...."
Think carefully about what you want as a tatto and make sure it is something that you will enjoy for years to come.
My son has his cartilage pierced and I don't think there is anything wrong with that at all. He is young and does and the young do. Holes close up.
Good luck, think long and hard before you choose your tatto!!

Tattoo or Piercing on a guy?

PapaJohn

Which looks better on a guy?
Me and my friend don't agree with each other on this subject.

-I personally like tattoo's but don't like piercings.
-My buddy on the other hand apparently doesn't like tattoo's but likes piercings.

Neither one of us have a tattoo or piercing by the way, we are both planning on getting one though.

He wants a piercing on his lip and I want a tattoo of a rosary bead wrapped around my upper arm. He
said that getting a rosary tattoo "is like saying I love God, fuck you go away"? Whatever that means, I want it because I love my faith, its gonna be under my sleeve for crying out loud, no one is witnessing it. What do you guys/girls think.

Answer
i personally think that a tattoo would look better.
no offense to your friend but piercings gross me out!
my only exception is an ear piercing

Meaning of cherry blossom?

Lauran

I was thinking of getting a cherry blossom tree tattoo but I forgot the meaning of it and I don't wanna get something that don't mean anything to me. Please help!!

Answer
Chinese:
The Chinese see the cherry blossom as a symbol of power, particularly of the dominance of the feminine persona. This could mean a blossom tattoo is ideal for you if you are a strong willed woman who values her liberty and freedom or if you have recently come out of a difficult relationship.

It also stands for love if you are coming from the herbal lore approach.

Japanese:
In Japanese culture there is often a link between the blossoming of cherry tress and the Buddhist concept of "mono no aware" which refers to the reverence for life, the transience of being and the sadness at the passing of things. This is because cherry blossoms only appear on tress for short times before they fall to the ground.

This association with mortality is highly symbolic in Japan and has been used in traditional art there for many centuries along with more recent manga or anime. This link may however make a tattoo of cherry blossoms unsuitable for some. Alternatively, it may give you renewed appreciation for the fragility of life and help you make the most of your brief time on this Earth, while bringing you a different perspective on the hard times you may face; knowing that they will not last forever.

Shortley:

It means power of the dominance of the feminine persona and life

Do people find women with lots of tattoos to be unfeminine?

tasha w

I don't have any, and I'm not talking about the woman who has one or two, I mean like a sleeve or just multitudes of them all over. Tattoos in general are not the exotic body art that they were years ago -- many many people from all stages and phases of life have them. They are socially acceptable for the most part (i.e. you will no longer be denied a job - for the most part- based on the fact you have ink).

Even given all this, though, are they still considered more of a male thing?
Awww jeez KIA don't be a butterfly hunter...now I have to re-evaluate my feelings for you....lol...
Personally, I think either no ink or just one or two on a guy is hot. I don't want to be with someone with facial tattoos or a full back of them, but some of them can be really amazing looking. If it's done right, even sleeves don't have to be overwhelming.
Ultimately tho, it wouldn't be a deal breaker

Answer
I like artistic, feminine tattoos on other women, even when they have a sleeve or when they have their whole chest/shoulder area tattooed, if the tattoos are very well done. I like bright colors, feathers, birds, flowers, cherry blossoms, that kind of thing. I think tattoos can look cute on young women, but they don't look so great when women age, and the tattoo gets dull, fades, and most of all, just looks worn out and trashy. I don't understand women who get tattoos around their stomach area... if they get pregnant the tattoo is going to stretch and become distorted, they could get stretch marks on the tattoo, etc. People don't really think about the long term when they get tattoos. Tattoos are permanent, but they have a short shelf life in that sense. I like the way tattoos look (artistic, well done ones) but I don't like the idea of them being permanent.

I don't think faded, dull, worn out tattoos look good on older men either, but a man can age decently while having a full sleeve or a dozen tattoos on his body, some men can pull it off. I don't think the same is true for women, people expect women's bodies to be smooth and feminine, the tattoos become coarse looking after a while.

I was just looking at a tattoo blog earlier today, in fact! Here are some tattoos I like:

Tattoo Skin Stretching?

I'm 18 and I've wanted to get a few tattoos for a while now.

I'm 6 foot 4, and I weight 160 pounds.
What I'm wondering is if they'll stretch if I grow (muscle/bulk wise).
No one in my family is obese so I'm not worried about gaining a ton of weight, but from what people have told me places like my shoulders (one of the places I want a tattoo) will stretch quite a bit if they get broader.
I also want to muscle up a little bit (no like body builder hulk hogan stuff but a noticeable amount).

Does anyone know if this will be a problem and if I should wait a few more years (sigh) and/or if there are any places on my body I can get a tattoo where I don't need to worry about it?

Thanks heaps in advanced!

Answer
yeh it will stretch, like when woman have a tattoo on their belly and they get pregnant, uhoh! you could just choose a place where weight doesn't fluctuate/sag with age as much.
it probably wouldn't look too bad, you might just need to get it touched up more often

Men: Would you date women with tattoos...?

Franco IV

I don't mean a little tattoo where it's hard to see, but one who has a tramp stamp on her, a woman who has tattoos all over her arms, her body, on her butt, on her belly, I mean ALL over her body ? I personally will date any woman with tattoos showing on her body, it's a personal choice. I feel tattoos are trashy, they make a woman look like she has no pride, does not care about her appearance and a woman like this looks like a tramp to me. The worst offenders are women who have tattoos on their breasts.......! How low can they get...?

Answer
No i find tattoos on women a little offencive , i love how they say, I want to show my individuality by getting a tattoo yet get the same tattoo as everyone else . I think there will be a bunch of seniors one day that might regret that decision also how about your kids or grand kids. What will you tell them ? It's the same for guys with their douche bag starter kit . You see these UFC wannabes that all look like carbon copies of one another. It's a fad , if they brought back bell bottoms they would be wearing those by the end of the day lol

Army Tattoo Regulation?

Christina

I was thinking of getting a name written on the back of my neck, but I need to know 100% that this follows Army Tattoo Regulations.
Is it?

Answer
Army Changes Tattoo Policy
The Army has revised its policy on tattoos in an effort to bolster recruitment of highly-qualified individuals who might otherwise have been excluded from joining.

Tattoos are now permitted on the hands and back of the neck if they are not âextremist, indecent, sexist or racist.â Army Regulation 670-1, which was modified via a message released Jan. 25, also now specifies: âAny tattoo or brand anywhere on the head or face is prohibited except for permanent make-up.â

For women, allowable make-up would be permanent eye-liner, eyebrows and makeup applied to fill in lips, officials said. They said permanent make-up should be conservative and complement the uniform and complexion in both style and color and will not be trendy.

The change was made because Army officials realized the number of potential recruits bearing skin art had grown enormously over the years.

About 30 percent of Americans between the ages of 25 and 34 have tattoos, according to a Scripps Howard News Service and Ohio University survey. For those under age 25, the number is about 28 percent. In all, the post-baby-boom generations are more than three times as likely as boomers to have tattoos.

As a result of tattoo attitude changes, Army Regulation 670-1, chapter 1-8E (1) has been modified via an ALARACT 017/2006 message.

Additionally, paragraph 1-8B (1) (A) was revised to state: âTattoos that are not extremist, indecent, sexist or racist are allowed on the hands and neck. Initial entry determinations will be made according to current guidance.â

The Army has never allowed indecent tattoos on any part of the body, G1 officials pointed out.

The new policy allows recruits and all Soldiers to sport tattoos on the neck behind an imaginary line straight down and back of the jawbone, provided the tattoos donât violate good taste.

âThe only tattoos acceptable on the neck are those on the back of the neck,â said Hank Minitrez, Army G-1 Human Resources Policy spokesman. âThe âbackâ of the neck is defined as being just under the ear lobe and across the back of the head. Throat tattoos on that portion of the neck considered the front, the ear lobe forward) are prohibited.â

Soldiers who are considering putting tattoos on their hands and necks, should consider asking their chain of command prior to being inked.

âWhile the Army places trust in the integrity of its Soldiers and leaders, if a Soldier has a questionable case regarding tattoos, he or she should seek the advice of the local commander through the chain of command,â added Minitrez.

Should a Soldier not seek advice and have tattoos applied that arenât in keeping with AR-670, the command will counsel the Soldier on medical options, but may not order the Soldier to have the tattoos removed. However, if a Soldier opts not to take the medical option at Army expense, the Soldier may be discharged from service.

The U.S. Coast Guard has a limitation on the size of a tattoo in percentages of a given area that will not exceed 25 percent of the space between wrist and elbow, knee and ankle, but it does not allow tattoos on the hands or neck.

The Armyâs new policy, however, does not mean Soldiers should rush out and have the backs of their necks or their hands entirely covered in decorative art, Minitrez said.

âThe Army does not have a percentage policy for tattoos,â Minitrez said. âAs long as tattoos do not distract from good military order and discipline and are not extremist, racist, sexist or indecent theyâre permitted.â

If a Soldierâs current command has no issue with his/her tattoos, the Soldier should have personnel files so notated that the Soldier is in line with AR-670, officials said. Though not mandatory, having the notation entered serves as back-up documentation at a follow-on command which might feel the Soldierâs tattoos donât meet Army regulations.

Good place for hidden tattoo?? ?

Hey guys so ive been thinking of getting a tattoo for years but i never though of anything and my family has always been against it. Well bottom line is im getting a paw print tattoo in memory of my dog (had him for 10 yrs) with his name on it OR with The mickey face outline thing (the disney one) because he had a mark on his leg that look exacly like the mickey one but im not planning on telling my parents or anyone but my cousin so i need some hidden locations?? I was thinking on the place where the bra goes under your armpit?? Or something like that?? Because it also need to be hidden when im wearing bathing suits and stuff? Please give me some ideas! This is very important to me

Answer
Listen closely to your tattoo artists. And take the time to choose your tattoo artists wisely. So here they are in apparent order of preference:

1. Lower Back Tattoos - This is probably the first choice as a location for a woman getting her first tattoo. Sexy, sensual, exposed at the beach but covered up at the office. May be shared with a lover but hidden from the rest of the world - especially parents and Grandma. Celebs like Angelina Jolie her her lower back tiger tattoo and Jessica Alba's bow are two examples of lower back tattoos.

2. Wrist Tattoos - popular with starlets. And can be hidden under a watch or bracelet if need be. Winston Churchill's mother had a snake encircling her wrist. Examples would be Lindsay Lohan for her wrist tattoo "breathe" and Eminem for wrist tattoos.

3. Foot Tattoos - A famous holiday vacation splurge. The problem is that tattoos on feet tend to need a lot of touching up because of their propensity to fade quickly. Carrie Otis and Charlize Theron are known for their foot tattoos.

4. Ankle Tattoos - Popularized by super models Christy Turlington and Stephanie Seymour. Can be very delicate or a bold tribal design. Check out an entire gallery of celebrity ankle tattoos

5. Armband Tattoos (true, not a specific body part) - Was once the staple in tattoo parlors around the world. Seemed like other guy in the frat house had one. Pamela Anderson triggered a wave of barbwire. The tribal armband has bought a lot of tattoo artists a new Harley.

6. Back Tattoos (also, back-piece tattoos) - The largest blank canvas on the human body. Most tattoo artists will advise you to go as large as you can comfortably mange, and then go larger. Tattoos can be an alluring enthusiasm. You may think you just want one - and which tattoo artist hasn't heard that a thousand times or more - but keep in mind when choosing your tattoo design and placement how you might incorporate it into an even larger and more elaborate piece. Check out Lena Headey, 50 Cent & LeBron James for back tattoos.

7. Arm Tattoos (which often specifies, upper arm, lower arm, forearm, shoulder and even sleeves) - see Back Tattoos. A single Koi, can in time, become an entire Japanese inspired sleeve. See Amy Winehouse, David Beckham and Anouk for examples of arm tattoos.

8. Chest Tattoos - Pectorals are a favorite spot to make a man's chest look larger. And before you ladies protest, please see number nine. Examples of chest tattoos are Lenny Kravitz and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

9. Breast Tattoos (we're standing firm on the differences between chests and breasts) - Requests for information about breast tattoos has been so popular over the years that I wrote an article entirely on that premise, called "Gilding the Lily: Why We Tattoo Breasts" Examples are Teri Polo, Christina Ricci's Blue-bird and rapper Eve.

10. Neck Tattoos - Once a taboo area for most tattoo artists and tattoo enthusiasts, the explosion in tattooing in recent years has pushed back the boundaries of what meets the community standards of acceptable body art and tattoos. Where once men and women would have full tattoo body suits, necks hands and feet were left untouched so that an individual could "cover-up" their tattoos with a suit or long dress and pass incognito in a crowd or at certain conservative social functions. musicians and tattoo artists, individuals whose independent sources of income and public reputation as "outlaws, rogues and scoundrels", has allowed them in recent years to get tattoos that were once entirely associated with gang members or individuals who had spent time in prison. But if you want to get a job in a bank when your garage band folds, you might want to think twice. See Allen Iverson for neck tattoos. Robbie Williams has a neck tattoo as well.

Samoa
When the Samoan Islands were first seen by Europeans in 1722 three Dutch ships commanded by Jacob Roggewein visited the eastern island known as Manua. A crew member of one of the ships described the natives in these words, âThey are friendly in their speech and courteous in their behavior, with no apparent trace of wildness or savagery. They do not paint themselves, as do the natives of some other islands, but on the lower part of the body they wear artfully woven silk tights or knee breeches. They are altogether the most charming and polite natives we have seen in all of the South Seasâ¦"

The ships lay at anchor off the islands for several days, but the crews did not venture ashore and didnât even get close enough to the natives to realize that they were not wearing silk leggings, but their legs were completely covered in tattoos.

In Samoa, the tradition of applying tattoo, or tatau, by hand has been unbroken for over two thousand years. Tools and techniques have changed little. The skill is often passed from father to son, each tattoo artist, or tufuga, learning the craft over many years of serving as his father's apprentice. A young artist-in-training often spent hours, and sometimes days, tapping designs into sand or tree bark using a special tattooing comb, or au. Honoring their tradition, Samoan tattoo artists made this tool from sharpened boar's teeth fastened together with a portion of the turtle shell and to a wooden handle.

Traditional Samoan tattooing of the âpe'aâ, body tattoo, is an ordeal that is not lightly undergone. It takes many weeks to complete. The process is very painful and used to be a necessary prerequisite to receiving a matai title; this however is no longer the case. Tattooing was also a very costly procedure.

It was not uncommon for half a dozen boys to be tattooed at the same time, requiring the services of four or more artists. It was not just the men who received tattoos, but the women too; their designs are of a much lighter nature rather than having the large areas of solid dye which are frequently seen in menâs tattoos. The tattooing of women was not nearly as ritualized like menâs were.

Samoan society has long been defined by rank and title, with chiefs (ali'i) and their assistants, known as talking chiefs (tulafale). The tattooing ceremonies for young chiefs, typically conducted at the time of puberty, were part of their ascendance to a leadership role. The permanent marks left by the tattoo artists would forever celebrate their endurance and dedication to cultural traditions. The pain was extreme and the risk of death by infection was a concern; to back down from tattooing was to risk being labeled a âpala'aiâ or coward. Those who could not endure the pain and abandoned their tattooing were left incomplete, would be forced to wear their mark of shame throughout their life. This would forever bring shame upon their family so it was avoided at all cost.

The Samoan tattooing process used a number of tools which remained almost unchanged since their first use. âAutapuluâ is a wide tattooing comb used to fill in the large dark areas of the tattoo. âAusogi'aso teleâ is a comb used for making thick lines. âAusogi'aso laititiâ is a comb used for making thin lines. âAumogoâ small comb is used for making small marks. âSausauâ is the mallet is used for striking the combs. It is almost two feet in length and made from the central rib of a coconut palm leaf. âTulumaâ is the pot used for holding the tattooing combs. Ipulama is the cup used for holding the dye. The dye is made from the soot collected from burnt lama nuts. âTu'Iâ used to grind up the dye. These tools were primarily made out of animal bones to ensure sharpness.

The tattooing process itself would be 5 sessions, in theory. These 5 sessions would be spread out over 10 days in order for the inflammation to subside. The steps are as follows.

I. O le Taga Tapulu (back and small of the back) In the first session the height to which the tattoo will rise is decided (Ano le Tua), this is always such that the top of the design will show above the lavalava. Then the va'a, pula tama and pula tele are outlined and the design filled in.

II. O le Taga Fai'aso (the posterior) The aso fa'aifo are completed around to the abdomen and the 'asolaititi are finished. Next to be added are the saemutu, which vary in number depending upon social status. A matai will have four an orator three and anyone else would have two. Where it meets the 'ivimutu at the anus it is called tafaufile, where it covers the perineum it is called tasele, where it covers the scrotum it is called tafumiti and the area over the penis is called tafito. Needless to say this is very painful.

III. Taga Tapau The lausae, an area of solid tattooing, is added to the thighs beneath the aso e lua.

IV. Taga o Fusi ma Uluma

**Women/Tattoo artists please answer** Wing tattoos on guys ok?

Sam

I'd like to get some wings on my back (from top of shoulders to small of back) and they will be in a tribal way

Like this:
http://media.photobucket.com/image/wings%20tattoo%20on%20back%20tribal/Axel_Roxas_Pony/Tattoos/Angelic_tribal_wings_by_insomnia_ma.jpg?o=2

I am 5'6'' with a muscular build. I wouldn't be getting this until maybe next year because I go to Marines basic training on Nov. So I have some time to think about it. I would get them so they match my bodies "V" shape, but I still wonder to go with this type of look or with actual feathers. I want them big because that's just what I've always wanted to do. What do you all think? Would it even be a good idea? I don't want them small because they look too "feminine". Any ideas? opinions? Is the tribal look too played out?

Answer
I am a woman and a tattoo artist. I wings are awesome tattoos! my suggestion would be not to go tribal, but to go with feathers or something more custom that the tribal. Your artist can help you draw it up. I generally say avoid tribals becuase they are less unique, that is just a personal opinion. yesterday I tattooed some sick yellow wings on a guys back and they look amazing! Its all about how you do it, the feathers can be feminine but they can be made masculine. you can make wings out of a number of things, bullets instead of feathers is also something i have done. Have your artist help you customize them!

I want to know about your tattoo!!!?

almond_lib

I am thinking about getting my first tatto but I first want to find out about other people's. I want to know how much it cost, color or black and white?, where it is, size.... pretty much everthing. Now I'm not trying to copy anyones tat I just want to see what is out there, thanks!

Answer
I'm a guy with more than a few tattoos (8) but my own personal taste, where women are concerned, does not find tattoos attractive on women. The only tattoo I ever found attractive on one woman I "dated" was two serpants that wrapped around her waist and hips. The tails were conjoined over her butt crack by being wrapped around each other and the heads met in the front and led down to her V. The tattoo was very telling to be sure, but I wouldnt even call it attractive in retrospect, discractive might be more accurate.

Arm tattoos on women make them look butch, while leg tattoos usually end up ruining a nice set of "gams!" Its a trend that will pass in time and leave a lot of young kids with regrets. There is something that is carried in the act of inking your body that I'm sure if you knew exactly what it is, would sending you running in the other direction.

If you are still set on it, heres some other tips and information that you might find helpful.

#1) DO NOT WALK INTO A TATTOO PARLOR AND ASK FOR FLASH OFF THE WALL.

This is the biggest mistake people make. Not just for the reason that most of the artists dont really respect someone who does this and the last thing you want is someone who is contemptuous of you putting something on your skin that will be with you for the rest of your life, but for the simple fact that there is no personal relationship betwen you and that image. Chances are that there are another hundred dopes walking around with the very same thing on their ........ (arm, leg, breast, whatever). Find an image that reflects you, or symbolizes something to you and have a specific reason for getting it. Getting a tattoo because everyone and their MOM is getting one is just trendy, and as you know trends pass and fade just like the tattoo will one day do, if its insignificant to you spiritually.

You should look at all the artists books first (if they are not on display ask at the counter; some lowlives steal them). See how the artists have handled other peoples tattoos and subject matter and if you find an artist in that particular tattoo shop talk with them in detail (when they have time) about what you would like to get, how they would handle it, if your skin tone is good for color or better for black and white, etc.

#2) It helps a lot and defers costs if you have the image with you in advance.

Hire some kid in one of the art classes at your college or school, or look on line. There are plenty of artists out there who do phenomenal work for a relatively small price and you can always frame your originaly designed image later. You'll also have what YOU want in your hand when you go to the shop, not what ever the tattoo artist convinces you will look good because of his POSSIBLE limitations in drawing. Remember, drawing on paper and skin are two very different things that employ different tecniques. Although it is poible for one medium to be "transfered" into the other.

#3) Be prepared to take care of your tattoo.

It will need to be kept covered with bacitracin, it will scab, it will itch. Don't scratch it, dont peel the scabs and don't give into the temptation to remove the wrap before the amount of time the artist tells you to keep it on, just to show it to someone. No direct hot water on your tattoo for an amount of time it takes to heal properly. Hot baths also have an effect (color fade for some and not recommended during the first 4-5 weeks of healing)

#4) You get what you pay for.

Think the artist is that dependant on your tattoo for advertisment? Think again. You don't want to start cutting costs with your tattoo artist. If he (or she as the case may be) is willing to "take it out in trade" either figeratively or literally that's up to the two of you. If not, don't forget to tip. Most women think they don't have to, but hey, if your too tight with YOUR OWN cash, then oral is considered a nice substitute for tipping to many artists (guys AND girls a like).

So those are some tips and things to consider before you make your mistake...er...decision. Hope it helps.

Rejected because of my tattoos?

Mindy

I don't know where to start....

When I was younger I got a lot of tattoos. Some of them are not the best of quality and frankly, I am pretty insecure about it. I have the serenity prayer on my rib cage, a piece of flowers, hearts, and keys that go all the way around my waist, a flower piece on my leg, and a star piece on my other leg. I have been told I am a hot girl, but I am so insecure about these tattoos that I never open myself to anyone because I am afraid of being rejected because of them. Well, I have been talking to this guy I met and he hadn't seen my tattoos. Recently he saw the piece that goes around my waist and since him seeing it he has not contacted me at all.... I am really upset. I feel like a leper or something. Would a woman's tattoos really put you off to the point where you wouldn't give her a chance?

Here is a pic of me.... I am not sure how to raise my head up. This is really affecting me in a bad way. I have a beautiful daughter and am so insecure about my tattoos that I have a hard time going to the pool to swim with her....

Answer
First of all, I think your gorgeous. Secondly, maybe you can think of your tattoos in another way. Think of them as representative of that time in your life. If you're that upset about them, you can have them fixed/redone so you don't feel so ashamed by them, but look at them not with so much shame, but as a reminder of where you have come from. If someone doesn't like you for expressing who you were at a particular phase in your life, then they really aren't someone worth knowing.

As somone who is overweight, I struggled with the bathing suit thing for awhile but then realized that spending time with my children was worth so much more than worrying about what other people thought about me. I began loving myself more and living life for myself instead of for other people. Interestingly enough that meant that I actually GOT 2 tattoos and dyed my hair pink, so paradoxically I suppose I probably draw more attention to myself now than I did before, but I don't care because I am being true to myself now.

You need to be you, for you and for your daughter. Don't worry about what other people think, learn to love yourself and accept that you chose to get those tattoos at a time in your life for whatever reasons you decided to get inked. There had to be a reason for that. Don't deny that reason, learn to accept it.

As others have pointed out, you can wear a one piece and swim trunks to cover up if it makes you feel more comfortable, but you should go swimming and enjoy spending time with your daughter. So many people have tattoos these days that I seriously doubt anyone will even notice anyway! You're probably more self conscious about it than other people are even aware of them.

Cute places for small tattoo on a woman?

Anonymous1

it would be a sparrow about the size of a fifty cent piece

Answer
gosh... there are so many possibilities...
i really like the back of the neck, i think its very sexy especially with a loose ponytail haha. there's also the front of your hip by the bone (that way there will be less of a chance itll stretch if you ever decide to have children) umm, the foot - top or the side, ankle (i like the inside, but whatever you prefer), and lately for some reason ive started liking the inside of the arm. most people get tattoos on the outside of their biceps, but inside is nice too.. if right tattoo is chosen it can be really feminine...

i also like lower back tattoos too, if theyre done tastefully.. i dont care if they are called tramp stamps. thats a stupid name.

(cute pic below)
;p

Is this a sexy tattoo?(pic)?

Im about positive on this one but i want opinions on wether or not its sexy or if you have any more ideas? I want it small, black, and i want a sun design

Answer
There is nothing sexy about a tattoo. A tattoo is little better than a cartoonâyou canât get a good quality drawing on the human skin. I recommend to men that they stay away from a woman with any tattoo, anywhere. I could say the same thing to women about men with tattoos. Tattoos mean trouble. Tattoos are a huge "red flag" that probably means one or more of the following:
"I am a misfit"
"I will cause you big problems",
"Get to know me and you will regret it"
"I am immature",
"I am needy",
âI am foolishâ,
âI am shallowâ
âI make bad decisionsâ,
âI have no sense of right and wrong,â
âI follow fadsâ,
âI am unemployableâ,
"I have been to prison",
"I belong to a criminal gang",
"I am promiscuous",
"I work in the sex-services industry",
"I can not sustain a long term relationship".
âI will fail in my lifeâ
A tattoo will deface your body like ugly graffiti defaces a public building. I strongly suggest that you do not get a tattoo. There is a big cost to getting a tattoo, and it is far more than wasted money. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. Most regret it within 5 years. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. The regret starts after you start to notice how people react to you. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. Your chances of getting a good job will be greatly diminishedâmost companies will not hire you since your tattoo will be seen as offensive to other workers. The majority of western people get tattooed when young and their decision making process is not yet matured. Youth tends to be impulsive. Young people are still developing and they need to be very careful in making important, permanent decisions. The reasons young people get tattooed are not mature (i.e. they want people to notice them, they want to pretentiously âhonorâ someone in a way that will attract notice, they want to pretentiously present some âdeepâ quotation on their skin in the hope that people will think they too are âdeepâ, they are rebelling against their parents or society, they are conforming to what they think are social norms, they are unable to see ahead and view the negative results of their actions, etc.) If you want to see the true level of cultural development for tattoos and other body modifications, look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwOXCmjTsvs . In a large sense, nothing illustrates the degeneration of western culture more than the entertainment industry encouraging impulsive youth to permanently disfigure themselves in order to âexpress themselvesâ. But such is the power of suggestion that more and more young people are buying into this Hollywood lie that tattoos are a cutting edge way to âexpressâ yourself. But that is so not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh. Good luck to you in your life. But do not get tattooed. Tattoos are permanent. You can not take them back. There are so many questions on this board about how to remove unwanted tattoos. Pay attention to them. They are there for a reason: People do not want to keep their tattoos. One day you will wish you had never gotten your tattoo(s) and will start to ask how you can get rid of them. Be smart and do not put yourself in this position.

TATTOO,CHEST??????????????????n?

im a guy and im thinking of getting a tattoo on my chest, not a big one just . to cover my right lung area. is that normal or is that ugly specifically towards women

Answer
chest tattoos can be just awesome. depending on the artist's skill, design chosen and your "shape". i personally like them!

What is your opinion about chest tattoos on women?

Le All Kno

Answer
i think some chest tattoos look pretty on some women. Depending on what it is and the design. I have a beautiful tattoo that symbolizes my native american side as well as my children on my chest, and it is too late for regrets. I get looks from people that like it and some that just get intimidated. Never the less, people will always pass judgment on others when it isn't their place to do so. That is why it is called Art!

Guys, what do you think of quote/word/statement tattoos on girls?

ruby

I'm getting a tattoo that says "Remember Forever" on my wrist and I have read (not to mention I also have a non-supportive friend) people saying that guys don't like girls with those kinds of tattoos.

I'm really just curious, and am getting the tattoo no matter what is said.

Also, if you like quote tattoos on girls, what is the 'best' place for the tattoo to go?

Answer
Please don't be insulted, but let me tell you the real truth. Quotes or "wise sayings" tattooed on your body are pretentious and mark you as an insecure person who is desperate for the approval of others. But you are trying to be worthy the wrong way. You can not make yourself worthy in the eyes of others by inking a philosophical saying into your living skin. You can only make yourself worthy in the eyes of others through your words and deeds. Having yourself tattooed marks you as a troubled individual with a rocky future ahead, not as some inspirational person.
Donât be fooled when you see some celebrity or entertainer with a tattoo. They are probably just an insecure mess on their road to self destruction. Look at Brittney Spears, Anna Nicole Smith or Amy Winehouse.
Wise up. Life is not a game. What you see on TV and on music videos are fantasy--fantasy life filtered through the consciousness of writers, musicians and producers - creative types who come from a Hollywood subculture filled with degradation and self indulgence. What they "teach" us through their art must be viewed suspiciously.

The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. Don't get tattooed. You will regret it. Tattoos are associated with mental illness and dysfunction. Peer-reviewed scientific studies conclude that tattooed and pierced people share characteristics with the following extremely undesirable groups of suffering and damaged people:
pickers
burners
head bangers
self cutters
self-injurers
dangerous risk takers
eating disorders
self-haters
substance abuser
depressed
socially alienated
âIn 1999 The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry listed tattooing and 'excessive piercing' along with picking, burning, head-banging and cutting as forms of self-injury. In The Journal of Psychosomatic Research (2006, volume 6, issue 4), Adolescence (2002, volume 37, issue 147), The Journal of Adolescent Health (2005, volume 36, issue 4), Deviant Behavior (2009, volume 30, issue 6) and Pediatrics (2002, volume 109, issue 60), tattooing and body piercing are associated with dangerous and sometimes lethal risk-taking behavior, eating disorders, self-loathing, substance abuse, depression and social alienation.â
Which of these groups are you a member of? If none, then please rethink your intention to get tattooed. Why would you want to advertise yourself to others as one of these hurting groups? Even if you are, do not embrace your disease-- resist! Avoid hurting yourselfâdonât get any tattoo.
Here's more alone these lines:
Tattoos and Mental Disorders:
âResearch conducted by Dr. William Cardasis at the Michigan Centre For Forensic Psychiatry reviewed the cases of patients who were considered unfit to stand trial or who were judged to be insane and found that a majority had both signs of ASPD and a strong tendency to be tattooed. Along with a strong lack of emotions, histories of mental and physical abuse and deviant behaviors, Cardasis found that almost three-quarters of his study group was tattooed. The patients who had a greater number of tattoos, who had a greater percentage of their body surface tattooed and who wore tattoos in more visible places were all found to exhibit more aggression and to be engaging in behaviors such as cheating, lying or stealing.â
This research about tattoos and personality was recently published in the journal Personality and Mental Health.
"Our findings suggest that forensic psychiatric inpatients with tattoos are significantly more likely to suffer from antisocial personality disorder than those without tattoos, and patients with antisocial personality disorder were also significantly more likely to have higher numbers of tattoos, a larger percentage of their body covered with tattoos, and tended to have tattoos in more visible locations" said lead researcher Dr. William Cardasis.
Student with tattoos Less Successful that Non Tattooed Counterparts
âA study by Glasgow's Strathcylde University shows that that students with tattoos have weaker study skills than their non-inked counterparts.â
Study Links âBody Artâ and Criminal Behavior
LUBBOCK, Texas, January 14, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - A new study titled "Body Art, Deviance, and American College Students" suggests that people who have multiple tattoos or body piercings are more likely to engage in risky and criminal behavior. The research by Jerome R. Koch, a sociology professor at Texas Tech University, reveals that those who have four or more tattoos, seven or more body piercings, or one "intimate piercing," are far more prone to use illegal drugs, be arrested for criminal offenses, cheat on college work, binge drink, and have multiple sex partners.

Who's Got Good Charlotte-Keep Your Hands off My Girl Lyric ?

Q. Keep Your Hands off my Girl Is Good Charlotte New Video From Their New Album, Named Good Morning Revival

Answer
"Keep Your Hands Off My Girl"

Let the record play,
Let the record play,
Let the record play.

The way that you dance,
The way that you move,
The way that you stare at me across the room,
You carry Dior bags,
And you got your Chanel,
You wear Louis Vuitton, HG, and YSL,
Now I got Bathing Ape,
I got DCMA
I got brass knuckles hanging,
From my neck and my chain,
I got a model 26,
But she stays in her place,
I got a kershaw neatly,
Tucked inside in my waist.

And the record keeps playing,
The same old song,
The hipsters mean mugging on me all night long,
They say "Aha, ahha",
Keep your hands off my girl,
Keep your hands off my girl,
They say "Aha, ahha",
But the record keeps playing,
The same old song,
They say "Aha, ahha",
Keep your hands off my girl,
Keep your hands off my girl.

Now she's sweating my friends,
And my hurricane shoes,
She likes the records I spin,
My Adam Barton tattoos,
But she can't say "what's up",
So what does she do,
She just stays posted up,
The other side of the room,
I got AMC tattooed on my hand,
I got black wall street on a black bandana.

And the record keeps playing,
The same old song,
The hipsters mean mugging on me all night long,
They say "Aha, ahha",
Keep your hands off my girl,
Keep your hands off my girl,
They say "Aha, ahha",
But the record keeps playing,
The same old song,
They say "Aha, ahha",
Keep your hands off my girl,
Keep your hands off my girl.

She, she, she don't wanna talk about it,
He, he, he wants to fight about,
Me, me, I don't wanna fight about it,
I just wanna be about it,
I'm just trying to stay up out it,
Step out the wagon,
You know the boy starts to hate,
The girls that came with him,
They like that's not the boy she dates,
They get the fighting and swearing,
And now the boyfriend is staring,
The disco ball on the ceiling,
Looks like the chain that I'm wearing,
But the music keeps playing,
I got brass knuckles hanging,
from my neck and my chain,
I got brass knuckles hanging,
from my neck and my chain.

And the record keeps playing,
The same old song,
The hipsters mean mugging on me all night long,
They say "Aha, ahha",
Keep your hands off my girl,
Keep your hands off my girl,
And the record keeps playing,
The same old song,
The hipsters mean mugging on me all night long,
They say "Aha, ahha",
Keep your hands off my girl,
Keep your hands off my girl.

You carry Dior bags,

Why do so many women have anchor tattoos on their forearms. What do they mean?

puma

It's a small tattoo on the wrist or forearm.

Answer
Anchor tattoos usually mean they have a bf/family member that's in the navy.. maybe the woman is in the navy or lost someone who was in the navy. All different reasons. Maybe they just like ships & wanted an anchor!

I have a tattoo of Live Love Laugh on the underside of my right wrist. It's just where I wanted it.. I know people are starting to get it there now but that's just what happens. A trend catches on. I mean, how many people have tattoos on their calf or arm or back of their neck?

Tattoo After Care Regime?

Carolyn H

I would like to hear some different Tattoo Care methods that people use. I have used many, but really want to hear the best ones. Each artist has a different plan. Are there different products that heal certian areas of the body better?

Answer
I have quite a few tattoos-- everywhere from my feet to forearms.

I use noxzema to wash them (pump bottle is better so it doesnt get bacteria into the tub from your hands or anything) instead of regular soap. It cools the hot feeling on your skin that lasts a few days, and very gently cleans. It is designed for the face, so it is not harsh on the skin like a lot of other cleansers, but still gives you a gentle deep clean. I didn't pull this out of my @$$. I learned this from an incredible tattoo artist, a woman who has been tattooing over 30 years. That is her tried and true secret to easy healing, and it REALLY makes a phenomenal difference.

I wash my tattoos somewhat excessively during their healing, and with 2-3 days, I am already peeling. When applying an ointment (some advise against bactracin or A&D, and others will swear by one or the other) i use MINUTE amounts of bacitracin, because of a boss of mine-- he is a tattoo artist also tattooing over 30 years, and his tattoos are in crazy good shape still. Anyway, I will use a tiny bit of ointment after I wash the tattoo-- just barely enough to make it covered very very thinly or else you may lose some quality in the color because it is healed out. As SOON as I start peeling I switch to a very neutral lotion, no scents, no fragrances, and I never use Lubriderm. I keep the tattoo very clean still and apply the lotion even AFTER it has healed.

This method has worked fantastically for me since I started getting tattooed (about 6 ago). I have worked in 2 tattoo shops and learned a lot from coworkers/artists, and also from the incredible people who have tattooed me. Using this method, 5 days after the tattoo was inked, I am completely finished peeling. Some people take up to 2 weeks.

I find that every part of my body loves this procedure :) Some areas will need extra care-- for instance, when I tattooed the whole top/sides of my foot, it was summer so I could wear flip flops during healing-- but I had to wash it SO SO constantly because it would get dirty. I ended up using tattoo goo's antimicrobial soap about once a day to make sure I killed ANY kind of bacteria that got into it.

Tattoo ideas to symbolize my younger siblings?

college gu

So i have the idea of doing a tat of 3 wolf pups to represent my younger brother and sisters. i liked the ideas of wolves because they live and hunt together as a family and since im oldest i see it as a my job to look after them.only prob from asking people is that they think is that tats like that are usually done by parents for their kids.opinions for alternative ideas are appreciated and for sure i want a tat, so no comments like don't get one. also i have looked up tons of ideas and i don't want to do portraits or initials, btw im a guy. thank you for you input in advance
suggestions for placement? i have thought of my biceps but im scared if i build more muscle that it will mess the tattoo up, i have thought of pectoral muscles. thank you in advance

Answer
i think it's a beautiful idea. who's to say that that's a tattoo done by parents? a wolf pack is a brotherhood/sisterhood. i think the idea of a wold pack is the apitimy of being an older sibling- you are the alpha- you look out for them however you can and you do your best to keep them safe. i like it and i don't think you should ever let what some else thinks sway you. tattoos are art and up for interpretation. :)

Tattoo idea help please?

Olivia

I want to get a tattoo that represents my family, husband and 2 children. I want it small, maybe on my wrist. I don't want to get their names. I would also like it to be something I can add to if we have anymore children. I'm really stuck for ideas on this. Can anybody help?

Answer
No names huh. Hmmmmm. A really cute family tattoo that my friend has is a wing, and each feather represents a member of her family. Tho also on each feather is their name.

You could get hearts, with each heart signifying a loved one. I know you said you don't want their names, but you could have their initials placed inside.

You could use symbols. What strikes you when think of your husband. Does he keep you grounded. It's a bit cliche, but you could get an anchor to represent him. Or something else that reminds you of him. Each symbol could represent each person, your husband, and kids, and any more that you have down the road.

Maybe your family holding hands. Obviously the details wouldn't have to be too intricate, but it would be easy to add another person, though it would be difficult to make it small.

Hope this helps at least a little! Good luck (:

Tattoo placement for woman?

My first is on my foot. I'm not sure where I would want my second to be. The most important thing is that I need it to be easily covered when wearing office attire. I would like to be able to see it without looking in a mirror, but I might be okay with it on my back/shoulder... I'm not entirely sure.

I'm still trying get the general idea of the tattoo I want- nothing is set in stone yet and I'll be considering exactly what I want and where I want it for probably a year before I actually get it done. I'm looking into designs including The Princess Bride and I like the idea of a buttercup and a black mask or a buttercup and a sword, possibly with "as you wish" added in.
Naomi... in what world is a wrist tattoo easily covered in office attire? You should read the entire question before you answer.
Ok, next time I'll specify that I have no desire to have my arms covered down to my hands every day at work for the rest of my life. Sorry if that can't be considered common sense that a female might actually want to wear 3/4 length sleeves or shorter.
Ashley-
I didn't ask advice on how to change my entire wardrobe so I could get a wrist tattoo. I'm glad yours works for you, but I'm not a jewelry person at all and I'm not willing to buy jewelry just to cover up a tattoo, nor am I willing to always wear a garment to cover all the way down to my hands.

Answer
Hey now, I have wrist tattoos and I work in an office. Today they are covered up with a blazer because it's cold out. Yesterday they were covered up in some awesome bangles that I got loads of compliments on. When the weather gets even colder, they will be covered up in various office appropriate sweaters. It's NOT that difficult to cover up a wrist tattoo.

That said, other places to get it include literally anywhere on your torso, or anywhere on your legs above your knees.

Tattoos on Women - Poll?

Tell us about your feelings involving tattoos on women. I am most interested in those who think it looks sexy verses masculine on women. Also where do you think placement matters (do you like tattoos on a woman's arm most, her lower back, inner wrist, etc) ? What style do you like on women? (such as flowers, skulls, tribal)
Let's find out what all of us bored late nighters think. And yes, I have tattoos (I'm also over 30 and married).

Answer
i have tattoos and i think that not all women should get them. its all about self expression... i find that most places arent attractive on women such as a sleeve on the arm but my opinion on that doesnt really matter if the person is happy with it. i actually dont like things that are common... i get tattoos as a symbol of something important in my life not as just a decoration of something i thought was "cool" at the time... to me it has to be meaningful

Is it normal for girls/women to shave their pubic area or does it not really matter?

Answer
This is a topic people get in ridiculous fights over. Women who do shave call women who don't gross, women who don't call women who do wh*res. Men always have a way they like it, and a lot of times its whatever way yours is not.

I shave....everything. I swam for many years and lycra suits pull hairs, it hurts. Shaving can be uncomfortable for some, especially if you have very coarse hair or sensitive skin or both. Waxing hurts, but makes for a very smooth result, however you have to let the hair grow in between treatments and I don't like doing this so I shave as I can keep it up daily.

Hair does hold on to bacteria, so it can cause smell faster. However I do not think it is uncouth or nasty to have hair if it is trimmed an the whole area is kept CLEAN so that the bacteria are kept at bay. Excessive hair can also hold on to ....well I won't go into gruesome details, but we all use the bathroom if you know what I mean.

I do think it is uncouth, personally, to have hair that peeks out of the bikini or swimsuit, that's just gross to look at. If you don't want to trim even, fine, but wear swim shorts that are a dark color.

There are different things you can do and it can be kinda fun for the DH. If you don't shave, why not try it to see if you like it? Hair grows back fairly quickly if you decide you don't. You can shave the sides an leave the bush, you can shave completely bald, you can do a racing stripe, landing strip, hitler mustache, etc. I even knew a girl who dyed hers! People shave hearts, stars, words, I even saw a girl who had a tattoo of a stick figure mowing her "grass" and had her hair shaved where it looked like the tattoo stick guy was removing her hair.

More women shave down there now than they did in the past, I think lead by magazines like playboy and also a general heightened acceptance of sexuality and the body.

If you think its cleaner or easier to stay cleaner, more couth for your swimwear, looks nicer of is more comfortable to shave or trim up, do it! If you don't like it, have hair. Some guys are grossed out by hair, but if it really matters a lot to them, they are usually shallow and worthless anyway. I think it mainly is only important to stay very clean and healthy down there.

If I had to guess, I think most younger girls are some kind of shaved, and I think most older women do not bother with it, but its up to you and what YOU like.

If you want to shave, use a new razor on this area (I have a seperate razor just for this area) and use a moisturizing shave gel for sensitive skin. Soak in warm water for a while before shaving to soothe the skin an relax the hair follicles and be careful when you shave. After you are done shaving rinse off, dry area and apply lotion. Give it a try if you don't already, you might not go back.

What are some areas of the body that girls should not get tattoos??? ?

Meli

Im curious to know some of your opinions.

Answer
Their private areas. (unless part of a full body suit) Most men find them something of a turn-off. I'm not speaking of their lower back. Nothing wrong with that. But the last thing a woman should do is get her breasts or pubic mound tattooed. Some women are of the mistaken impression that this would be a turn-on to guys. I'm here to tell you, unless it is amazing, out-of-the-ordinary beautifully done artwork, these areas should be left alone. I've seen some work done there worthy of recognition. But they are few and far between. Chestplates are a different story. (above the breasts, shoulder to shoulder) Those are fine. ON the breasts themselves, let's not. Take care.

I need some tattoo ideas! :)?

Hannah

Hi!

I am 17, and want to start getting ready for tattoo ideas. I'll start getting them when I'm eighteen, but I like to have plans. Haha. I like very whimsical tattoos, nothing really dark, morbid, creepy, etc. I want to get some on my back and maybe some on my hands or arms. I'm a girl...and I think chick tattoos have a tendency to be predictable....you know...the scroll looking flowery tramp stamps or stars. I want something unique and different.

Thanks in advance! :)

you should get unique tattoos that mean something to you. i dont think you should get a tattoo that every girl has, cause tattoos are pretty permanent. you need to get something that you would never regret. born storm a tattoo that nobody else has

Since it seems to me like your only getting a tattoo to be 'cool' get it some where not that visible. like ribs, stomache, back. (but a small one, since your'e probably going to regret it) so that way you can show off your muscles or what ever, since you 'love girls staring at you even boys' ahah.

TATTOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Paigeee <3

I'm 15 and my step mom said i can get a tattoo when i turn 16 which is jan 6th. What should my first tattoo be a tramp stamp or like a little star or something? If you have any suggestions plz write them down & try to put a picture lol thank you!!!!!!!

Answer
First, don't let anyone sway your opinion on if you want a lower back tattoo. They were around long before the term "tramp stamp" was invented, and they'll be around long after people ask "what's a tramp stamp?". If that's what you want, then go for it!

Second, seeing as to how tattoos are forever, make it something meaningful, or something that you will enjoy for the rest of your life. Remember that likes and dislikes will change a lot over your life (especially in the next 5 years of your life), so when you make your decision, make sure that it won't be something you'll hate later on in life, such as lyrics from a band you can't remember 20 years from now ^_~ (however, if it's meaningful lyrics, or from your 'all time favorite band', then consider it [ex: I would be happy with the lyrics from Metallica's Fade to Black, but I'd kick myself if I had Vanilla Ice's Ice Ice Baby]).

Likewise, if you choose some picture of some sort, unless you plan to have a 'child-like playfulness' about you your entire life, I would avoid any sort of child-like imagery (if fate should have it that, at 80, you're a bitter old woman, you will hate the lollipop tattoo on your ankle), or conversely, anything too 'extreme' from your 'average self' (if at 80 you're a kid-at-heart, the tattoo that reminds you to take the "safe route" might become too stuffy for you).

For something meaningful, consider your own personality traits. If you think of yourself as being courageous, pick a lion. If you're cute, pick a puppy or a ribbon. If you love stargazing, pick celestial figures. If you're religious, pick your favorite passage from your (insert appropriate book here), or an icon from your favorite story. If you take pride in your heritage, pick a pattern based off that heritage... and so on.

If you want something purely artistic but simple, some suggestions: a shower of stars, a rainbow ending in a cloud, butterflies (consider natural butterflies as well, as they are just as vivid in nature as our own imaginations), frogs, geckos, vines, flowers, leaves, small birds, owls, or smiley face with "Have A Nice Day" (or maybe a pirate happy face with "Have A Piratey Day, ARRR!", or some other theme like that).

Most tattoo shops will have flash (common tattoo images) on their walls for you to look at, so if no ideas here satisfy what you want, check out their flash, and see if you can't work with your artist to come up with something that's "uniquely you".

Tattooed women, Do you have any tattoos on your ankle/leg? If not then why? Is a sleeve better on arm or leg?

vmp009

This made me curious ever since I read someone else's similar questions. I have tattoos on each side of my ankle and just assumed that it never looked bad or bothered anyone, since I've gotten all compliments. I never understood though why people are saying that tattoos on the leg only look right on "certain" women who know how to pull off that look. What does that mean? I like the way a leg sleeve looks (a small one) + it can easily be concealed when needed. Also, why would anyone think it looks too masculine for a women to tattoo her leg.- Most guys I see have their arms & back, not their legs!
Thanks!

Answer
I have a tattoo on my ankle. It doesn't quite go all the way around and I do plan on finishing it, as well as getting one on my other ankle. For me, I would get my legs covered before my arms. It's easier to cover if you need to do so. I wear jeans most of the year anyway, so it would be less likely to fade.

To each their own. Put your tattoos where you want them, not where other people think they should be.

are tattoo's tacky?

Q. I can never seem to make up my mind if I like them or not. Sometimes I think they're kool and others i just think it's such a stupid thing to do. I personally don't like the idea that it'd be on my skin every day for the rest of my life, I'd never get one, but do you like them? My dad says there's nothing worse in the world, if you were ment to have pictures on your body, you'd be born with them, same with piercings. hmmm, but I dunno

Answer
I am a 40 year old woman/wife/mother I have two tattoos and I treasure them dearly.
I have never regretted having them done, I have a beautiful peace dove with my daughter and husbands initial next to it.
I also have a yin/yang in blue and pink which I equally love.
As you said sometimes you think they are tacky sometimes you think they are kool.
That is the whole substance of life for me, yin and yang, without one there would be no other eg;
Like/dislike
love/hate
good/bad
happy/sad
I could go on and on but I will spare you.
Just my thoughts.
By the way I didn't get my tattoos until I was in my late 30's.

tattoo idea's for couple?

Megan

we have been dating forever and ever and when we get married we were think of getting a tattoo. we are born on the same day june 6 i want something with a rose or pearl have any suggestions for mine and his to match
i don't want anything cute and no matching when standing close together

Answer
In Chinese culture the Dragon and Phoenix pictured together symbolize a marital union. The Phoenix is the Yin component representing the female. The Dragon is the Yang component representing the male.

I would ask the tattoo artist to draw them up intertwined as one design, but have him tattoo only the dragon on the man and only the phoenix on the woman, and frame the sketch of them together. You could also have your artist incorporate your rose or pearl into it.

Why don't women like Country music?

Bobby Robe

I like Country music, always have and always will. I see so many times on TV where women are attracted to "Country Boys" and love to listen to Country music; but that is TV only I guess. In the real world I have found that women HATE Country music. Why is that?

Answer
What do these women look like? Are the all covered with tattoos and body piercings? If so, it's them, not you. Now if the girls look 'country,' are you mistaking 'country' with 'redneck?' Also, are the women you refer to all 'dolled up' without having a single hair out of place and act as if the end of the world is coming if they, heaven forbid, get a little dirt on them or break a nail? Here's what I have observed. Tatted women, though personally may be nice, have a low self esteem and usually like that head banging stuff. Country women are sweet while redneck women are trash. The dolled up gals are so into themselves that they can't see past their own mirror; forget them.

Personally, I wouldn't give a rat's ass what women liked or disliked in music. Draw a happy medium and if she isn't willing to go with this, forget her, she's not worth it. Trust me, country music comes from the hear and is truly American. Be proud you like it. //#

cute tattoos for a girl know any?

dEE BXtCH;

okay so i want to get my thigh are armed sleeved know of any cute ones? post a link? im really in to roses are something Los angles something really nice? maybe drawing are something thanks!
i pay attention ! go get a life i dontwannaa know your opinion ! so yeahh Uhh cough cough haters over the internet ?? but other then that to everyone else thank you!

Answer
No tattoos are cute. None. They are all ugly and hideous. Tattoos are little better than cartoons at best.

You asked: "okay so i want to get my thigh are armed sleeved know of any cute ones?"?? Wow, I could barely understand that part of your question. You should pay more attention in English class, OK? Writing well is a skill that you can benefit from all your life.

But, I think..... you want to get a tattoo on your thigh??? OMG I hope you do not! If you make that big mistake and you get one, you will experience a lot of pain and you will bleed. You will not be in a hospital or operating room, and there is a chance you will catch some vile blood-born disease like hepatitis or flesh eating bacteria. Your wound may become infected. The so-called "tattoo artist" may make a mistake and you will be stuck with the results. I strongly recommend you reconsider getting tattooed. Your body is clean now, and not profaned by any graffiti, but that will change forever if you pay some tattoo predator to ruin your body. Just don't do it is my advice to you! You have lasted this long without tattoo, do not cave to the pressure from lesser people or a sick society and take that fatal step. Everything will change for you, for the worse, after you get that first tattoo.. Let me tell you why I am so anti-tattoo and so anxious that you not take this ugly step. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. Your chances of getting a good job will be greatly diminishedâmost companies will not hire you since your tattoo will be seen as offensive to other workers. There is nothing good about a tattoo. A tattoo is little better than a cartoonâyou canât get a good quality drawing on the human skin. Tattoos are an urban blight. They are ugly, like graffiti. Like graffiti, they lower the quality of the environment. Tattoos lower the quality of life, for everyone who has to see their ugliness. I donât like the whole concept of tattooing, the way these hideous cartoons are inked into the flesh of people through bloodletting and pain; to me they are a dark and evil art. Tattoos are closely linked to other forms of self harm, like cutting, piercing, drug use, etc.; they are hand-in-glove with these destructive behaviors. I donât like the way evil people encourage our vulnerable children to get tattooed, so they can make money off of them. They do not care that they are causing harm. And yet, these evil ones, these tattoo predators, are even admired by their deceived victims. Young people are fooled into wanting tattoos by degenerate Hollywood and the media. Kids think tattoos are cool and cutting edge, but over time, they wind up hating their tattoos. Far worse, they wind up hating themselves. Parents and older people are so afraid of being disliked that they say nothing against tattoos, even though they know better. Worse, some completely abandon their responsibility to provide sound guidance and even encourage the young ones to get tattooed. As far as tattoos being âartâ, that is garbage. A tattoo is NOT "a work of art". The human body is not a canvas and the abusers and mutilators who desecrate it are not artists. Most of their so called "art" is little better than comic book drawings. . More and more young people are buying into this Hollywood lie that tattoos are a cutting edge way to âexpressâ yourself. But that is so not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh. I have no tattoos. I hate tattoos and those who inflict them upon our young people. Do not listen to the many predators and enablers here, who encourage young people to abandon decency and live self indulgent and destructive lives. Young peopleâdo not get tattooed. Stay in school, do your best there, avoid drinking, drugs, tattoos and piercings, and avoid those who have them. Go to college, study science, mathematics, or business, and avoid liberal arts (unless you are wealthy and donât need to make a living). God bless you in your life.

For guys who love tattooed girls....?
