How did your parents react when they found out you were hiding a tattoo?

Peta

My friend got a small tattoo on her hip and she's been hiding it for about 8 months so far, she's 19 but her parents are totally against tattoos and piercings. Even though she is of age, her parents still have a "say" so i just wanted to know what your experiences were like :) plz share.

Answer
My first tattoo was on my wrist, so there was no hiding it. I got home that night, and my mother freaked out on me. Phoned my dad (they're divorced) and he freaked out on me even more. The next few days were tense, but they lightened up eventually. They told me I'll never get a decent job, or man and I'll always be and look like a loser. So I just decided to prove them wrong. I'm less than 2 years away from graduating with my law degree, work for the Police AND I'm engaged to the most amazing man ever. My tattoo collection have grown since then, my mom now actually wants to see it and tells everyone about it, my dad says I look like a girl on TV (some show he watches, but it's a compliment so I'm happy.) They 'll get over it. Tell them, let them be mad, and just prove them (and the rest of society) wrong by being awesome. :D good luck.

Answer
I have KNOW idea the color, texture or condition of your hair.

Style meets chemistry meets biology: We're talking hair coloring.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.
Example: "My hair is right about armpit length as it is, but I've severely damaged it by bleaching it all at once. As a student of cosmetology myself, I would have to say that it was probably one of the worst mistakes I could have ever made."
Another example: ok i did my hair yesterday i DIDN'T bleach it ,but im not sure what its called but she took the color out of my hair and then dies it a blond color and my head was on fire it killed me so after that i hated my hair color so i colored it my self a darker color, it looked so ugly and it burned me again it rully hrt so after i washed it my mom checked it for me and found small spots of blood all over my top scalp like over 20 of em now im scared and don't know why its there is it from the color am i sick and something is wrong ??

If i get a tattoo on my rib cage , will it be affected in the future when i become pregnant ?

Ella Dumme

It will be a quote of about 8 words going diagonally down my rib cage , nothing too big .

When i become pregnant , and get bigg , then small again ,what normally happens ?

Answer
Any body can be toned back into shape after a pregnancy. I'm sure you've seen imagery out there of women in their 50's that have the bodies of 20 year olds. Haha, as far as tattoos are concerned, depending on *where* you get it on your ribs, you may or may not have problems. (I digress; eventually, a text tattoo will get "old" looking, so you'll need to get it touched up eventually... but that's whether you're pregnant or not).

If your pregnancy does effect it, it would likely stretch the lettering out and make it... "thicker", I guess is the only way I can describe it. Cocoa butter rubbed on your skin on a daily basis will make it easier for the skin to maintain elasticity and it'll help the skin go back to its... "original" pliability after the pregnancy. Of course, you will have to get back to your original weight after having a baby, which for some women, is never an easy task.

I'm trying to say, it doesn't have to turn into an unsightly mess if you don't want it to or if you don't allow it to happen. But you're going to have to work for that result.

Any pregnant women with tattoos on their stomachs?

tattoos for women abdomen image

sadlymista

I have two large tattoos on my lower abdomen (right on top of each hip bone) and I'm really worried about how much they'll stretch. My tattoo artist told me she can re-touch them after I give birth if they "morph" (i love her choice of words) but I was just wondering how severely they will be affected. Anyone pregnant or have had babies with tattoos anywhere on their stomachs?

Answer
I had a small tattoo on my right abdomen. Not only did it grow (almost doubled in size) but I had stretch marks go right through it. I don't think they can tattoo over stretch marks, and if they can I don't even want to think about how much that would hurt. I'm not too concerned about the tattoo, though, cause my stomach will never see the light of day again :)

How long after I have my daughter, do you think is best to get my tattoos?

JLyn123106

Ever since I got pregnant with my second daughter, due Dec 5th, I have wanted to get 2 tattoos. They are of my daughters names and would be on my wrists. I was just wondering how long I should wait before getting them. I am not breast feeding because of complications with my first so that isn't a factor. Thank you.

Answer
I think it's funny how 3 out of 4 of your answers so far don't even answer your question.

If you want to get a tattoo, or two tattoos in this case, I would wait 6 weeks after your child is born. Even if you are not breast feeding, your body will still be going through a major change and will need to heal. Allow your body to heal and get better before you do something that could potentially lead to an infection. Also, many women's abdomens don't shrink back to normal size for a couple weeks, and a tattoo parlor might turn you away if they think you are still pregnant.

The best thing to do is talk to your doctor and then talk to a tattoo artist. They will both be able to tell you what is best, but I still recommend waiting 6 weeks even if they advise that you can do it sooner.

Good luck!

What happens if you use box hair dye on partially bleached hair?

tattoos for heavy women image

ashley

I colored my hair a deep red at home over the winter, now I'm going back to blonde for summer. I went to a salon and the lady did a heavy foil on my hair and I'm back to about 80-90% blonde, with some red streaks on the underside of my hair and some strands on top. What would happen if I went and got a box dye and tried to finish going blonde on my own? Would it turn the bleached parts of my hair funny colors? And should I try a color remover like Color Oops to take more red out first? My ultimate goal is to get *mostly* all one color back.

Answer
Overlapping dye onto previously colored hair is what creates dullness and dryness. If you color your hair @ home or salon, let your roots grow out as long as you can stand, so the line of demarcation is easier to spot. Only run color through the lengths for five minutes to refresh the ends. To extend the time between touch-ups, use a gloss and deep -conditioning treatments. They will help smooth cuticles roughed up by daily wear & tear, and the hair will look shinier. ~ Harry Josh, hairstylist of the celebrities.

Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye. They call that the ombre style.

Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 22 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <â¨

What is with the whole arching of the eyebrows thing?

I was in a Starbucks last night at the University of Arizona. All the women in there had the identical arched eyebrows. It made them look startled. It is also a severe look, like one wire coat hanger away from Joan Crawford madness.

Answer
Hahahahahahahaha!! You just made my day - thanks! I don't know what is up with that! Maybe they tattoo them on or draw them on. Many people think heavy arches are sexy, but it really does look quite scary, and they look shocked at everything.

Victoria

I wanna get a tattoo on the back of my neck that says something about love or being beautiful. just something classy and pretty. I would like it to be in another language like french or something. also since its going on the back of my neck it needs to be small. Thanks for your help!

Answer
99% of all sayings wont fit there for size reasons. Pick another location. You need to pick an area that is flat and doesn't move or the lettering will distort. The usual location for classy or romantic says for a woman is the chest.

And you have to pick the words or they wont be meaningful, which is the basic reason for any tattoo. All tattoos are about you being true to yourself.

Looking for a meaningful quote for a tattoo, that resembles my recovery from anorexia?

Q. I'm looking for a quote about strength, hope, faith, the future etc. That in some way resembles the journey i've been through. But also something positive that makes me feel proud of where I've come from, and where i'm aiming to be. Thanks!

Answer
1) "It matters more what's in a woman's face than what's on it."
Claudette Colbert

2) "Trouble is part of your life, and if you don't share it, you don't give the [people] who love you enough chance to love you enough."
Dinah Shore

3) "Insist on yourself. Never imitate."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

hope this helps : ) by the way, thats an amazing story.

I want to get a tattoo of a quote, but really don't know where to put it. I was thinking on my side, but my boyfriend thinks that looks trashy. Where can I put it so its classy looking and easy to conceal?

I think tattoos for women look best on the lower hip or really upper thigh area. That was you can wear shorts to cover it up. like if you are playing volleyball or something one the beach you can wear a bikini top and shorts and it will still be covered.

My mom is considering letting me get a tattoo for Christmas, but am I going to grow anymore?

Thea

I'm 13 years old and my estimated height was 5'8. I am currently 5'7. If I happen to grow another inch will it mess up my tattoo if i get one? and it doesn't really seem like I'm going to grow anymore so what do you guys think?

Answer
I think you should wait. When I was your age I wanted to get a piercing, but mum thought a tattoo would be better as it's easier to hide than a lip ring. The woman at the studio advised against it though, you can just take a piercing out but tattoos stay forever; and I'm rather glad she did. Today I see kids at school with these horribly tacky tattoos; I'm sure it made sense when they made it, but this one guy has "nothing else matters" in a tacky font diagonally across his biceps, like what? And then there's this fifteen year old guy with tribals. Even the girl that was sooo cool when she got a tattoo in seventh grade; her flowers on her abdomen and side are just ugly.

If you do get a tattoo, make it small and absolutely don't make any quotes. That's what people regret the most because in a couple of years it might just look retarded.

However, to actually answer your question. You will grow, but I don't think it would mess your tattoo up much, unless you go risky and put it around your chest/tummy/hips/thighs. Women tend to never stop developing, but you probably know that best yourself.
Have you grown since last year? If you don't feel like your growth has slowed down, it'll probably continue. To get a good answer, you should visit a doctor or the school nurse; and the tattoo artist you have in mind, I'm sure s/he has an opinion.

I need help designing a bmw related tattoo?

top tattoos for girls 2012 on Butterfly Tattoo Designs Amazing Tattoos, Ideas & Meaning
top tattoos for girls 2012 image

Emily

I'm entering a contest to win a 2012 BMW 3 series car.
To win, I'm going to be getting a (fake) tattoo. Maybe real. I dont know.
I need a tattoo design that has the bmw logo, 2012, and somehow the numbers 5.9 in the design.
If you have any ideas, PLEASE let me know. ;)
I might be able to pay whoever designs it..
btw. I'm a girl, so nothing too manly. Hahaha.

Answer
My own recommendation probably isn't going to be something that immediately psyches you out or anything at first. However, I may be able to help you reach into the corporate mind a little. If that is who is judging the contest, it will at least help a little bit. However, if the judges aren't corporate, disregard this. BTW, it would be a good idea to research into the company, it's structure and the people you will be appealing to. ALWAYS do your homework on the people you are trying to please. If you get into their minds when you design it, you will have a better chance at winning.

The BEST thing you can do is to keep it simple. A corporate executive is the kind of person who deals with everyone's work and ideas (including artists and designers), and goes through tons of designs, paperwork, etc. every single day. Peoples' ideas tend to be elaborate, simply due to imagination. So something that is going to appeal to an executive (and most people) is an elegant simplicity. Many of your competitors will be going overboard on the design, making it look super elaborate because we have this odd, natural feeling that complication equals beautiful. It doesn't. On the other end of the spectrum, other competitors will be doing something oversimplified. For instance, basically copying and pasting existing designs. This wont have a great deal of appeal, either. What you need to do is find the middle ground. Something between complicated and overly simple, but that gives off an air of original simplicity upon being viewed.

In addition, you are going to want it to look really slick and cool. You don't want to go with the usual stuff that people picture when they think of tattoos, like thorn-roses, tribal designs, or any other things that give off the impression of a biker bar. Remember that you are dealing with a worldwide corporate auto manufacturer, one that is from Europe and designs very sharp, cool, modern-looking vehicles. I am doubting they are going to be greatly impressed with the aforementioned designs.

Avoid doing the car itself. That's kind of tacky.

I would probably figure out some simple, sharp design that features the beamer logo, while incorporating a tad bit of your own art and those numbers worked into the same single object. Keep in mind balance. When we view something, we first look right to the center (well, actually a tad bit above the center, for whatever reason). If the focal point isn't centered, it will look odd and unbalanced. So you want the focal point to be there, and then outwards from the center have things that also impress. Think it out logically, think about the message you want to communicate. If they look at the center and then outwards, is there a way you can have your design sequentially communicate the message from the center outwards? That's up to you. But regardless, actually put a LOT of thought into the ordering and balance and sizing of everything in the design, as well as the overall design itself. You can bet that all the other top competitors will be doing the same thing. There may even be some actual designers in the contest.

The last tip: please design this yourself. Don't try to buy someone elses' design and then enter it. If you can't draw it, which I highly encourage you to do regardless of your abilities, then at least come up with the entire thing yourself and work with someone very closely to get it as close to what is in your mind as possible. Make a bunch of mockups, as best you can with your ability. This will help you work on it, because a design will look different visually than it does in the mind. But once again, don't just try to pay someone else to produce something for you, because that just isn't cool. The judges and the people putting on the contest want to see original art from people who can create it (whether you draw it or not it should be yours) because, well, that's the whole point of this thing; they aren't just looking to give out a car, they are looking for cool, original new ways to see their brand and logo, and potentially looking for someone to employ. You might even get into some doodie if you try to pass someone else's work off as your own (by the original designer or by the company or by both). And why would someone else do that anyways, if they could just send in THEIR design for themselves and try to win themselves a car? Point is, it should come from you.

My arm has been permanently swollen since I had my tattoo, what do I do?

tattoos for women half sleeve image

Davey

I had it done around two years ago, its a half sleeve tattoo. The woman who did it, dug too deep into the skin, which has left the outline blotchy, scarred, and is raised. She has also done it, so their is fluid retention in there.

Ever since it happened, I have been applying cocoa butter, with vitamin e, but tbh with you, it doesn't seem to be helping.

Not only is it swollen, but the tattoo looks bad also, oh and it hurts too,

Is there anything I can do?

Answer
Sorry to tell you this, but getting a tattoo also comes with a slight chance of these sorts of things happening. My cousin got a full sleeve once, but the artist messed up the upper part, and it left it quite swollen for the longest time. He eventually plucked up the courage to go to the tattoo artist what he could do to fix it and the tattoo artist was nice for a while, then got colder and didnt offer any help. I'd suggest you went to a dermatologist (skin doctor) as he can probably prescribe something that would help the swelling completely or at least be able to fix the scarring ( I take something called retinol micro pump which clears up scars--it works WONDERS)
Again, sorry to hear about the swelling , good luck!

Why do so many military men and women have so many tattoos?

Girl on Fi

Don't get me wrong- I LOVE tattoos and have a few myself.

But I've never seen such a high concentration of people with tattoos than on a military base. And most of the tattoos didn't appear to be military related. Both men and women with full or half sleeves, even some neck tattoos. Just curious on if there is a reason or trend to why so many military men and women have so many tats!

For instance, a semicircle over a circle is used as a symbol for Taurus. Thus, these tattoos provide a big scope for experimenting with the design sample of the zodiac symbol. You can go for a design that represents only a significant part or full design of your zodiac symbol. Learn extra on, Tribal Zodiac Tattoos designs for girls.

Answer
Uh huh. I understand "the Bull" when I read it. Is there a tattoo question here?

How can i make my undercut hair style look orginal?

tattoos for girls leopard print on Leopard Print Clothing and Make Up Ideas
tattoos for girls leopard print image

Lucid

okay. I got the undercut hairstyle 2 years ago, it was cool and orginal back then and i got so much respect for getting it done. Now, in the last 3months 10 other girls in my high school have it done. I love my undercut and i dont want to part with it yet. Any ideas on how to make it look unique. And no im not willing to cut the rest of my hair short or shave the left side off. Thanks

Answer
Get a pattern shaved into it?
Dye it a different colour? (This doesn't just have to be one colour...you could do a leopard print on it or stripes or you could dye your initials on your undercut etc)
Doubt you're old enough but if you get the undercut shaved a lot you could get a tattoo in that area? With a little hair over it you'd still be able to make it out.
Get a new hairstyle altogether?

I have an idea of what I want, but my artist wants me to bring in pictures as an example (as similar to what I want as possible).

I want pink flowers (of course the examples don't have to be pink), and a not-too-thick branch.

Can you guys try to find some pictures for me?

Thanks!
There isn't anything to elaborate on or be more specific of. I just want cherry blossom tattoo pictures.

Horimono
From BME Encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Horimono (彫ãç©, 彫ç©) is the term used for traditional Japanese tattoos.
From the Japanese horu 'to carve, engrave or inscribe' and mono, 'thing'.

Executed with tebori, the Japanese tattoo artist uses traditional motifs such as peony flowers, dragons or unique ukiyo-e style human figures to create a tattoo that renders the whole body as a single, symbolic work. Horimono tattoos are also unmistakable by their gaku, literally 'frame', of waves, water or wind swirls surrounding the centre of the tattoo, which gives the horimono its 'suit' appearance.

Horimono are also known variously in literature or speech as irezumi, bunshin, shisei, gaman or hokuro. Although many Westerners and Japanese use irezumi to refer to traditional Japanese tattoos, this is technically incorrect since irezumi is a cruder term based on method. As the term horimono references the art form involved in creating such a tattoo, Japanese tattoo artists and those tattooed generally use the word horimono.

Due in part to the origins of tattoo culture in Japan, its association with geishin (penal tattooing), bakuto groups as well as present day criminal cultures, most notably the Yakuza, tattoos are still a strong social taboo in Japanese culture. Sadly part of this tradition of taboo is also due to discriminatory practices against the Ainu whose women wore large facial tattoos and the Hinin and Burakumin who were given tattoos to brand their caste. Wearers of tattoos may be refused service at onsen (bath houses), hotels, sex clubs and even bars. Part of this practice stems from wanting to avoid trouble with gangs and violent youth, but much more of the prohibition rests on perceived social opinions of difference in Japan and not wanting to make other guests uncomfortable. So even if you are gaijin (foreign) and tattooed you may still be denied entrance despite the obvious lack of Yakuza connection.

How painful is an ankle tattoo?

tattoos for women thighs on Dragon Tattoo Designs Tattoos, Ideas & Symbolic Meaning
tattoos for women thighs image

Rain Dear

I've only had one tattoo, and it's on my right upper back / shoulder blade area. It wasn't bad at all, kinda like a cat scratching me with a vibrating claw. I'd like to get a second tattoo, on the outer side of my right ankle, just about the ankle bone. Can someone tell me how much more painful that location will be, relative to the one I've already gotten? Thanks!

Answer
I answer these questions related to pain in the same way every time.

The pain in different places differs from person to person, pain threshold does have a lot of input but, for example, my chest tattoo didn't hurt at all, where as some people I know said their chest tattoo hurt a lot!

Anyway, here's a basic pain level chart I always reffer people to.

Pain level 1
These include the upper arm, forearm, calf, Bum, and Thigh. For a 1st tattoo these are great points to begin your inked journey.

Pain level 2
These include the centre back, front / side of thighs and shoulders. This is also not too bad a start for your first tattoo. The shoulders and central back region can be area that require quite a lot of movement. The skin on these areas is much looser meaning it takes longer to tattoo and also longer to heal. On areas that have lots of movement such as these, require more care once a tattoo is completed. Due to the thigh area being quite a dense muscle mass and also quite tight skin, it may tend to bruise the day after.

Pain level 3
These include the knees, elbows, hands, head, neck, feet, chest and back of thighs. Beginners beware of starting at these areas. You would need to be determined to have tattoos here as the high sensitivity would require a lot of mental focus to get you through. The poor quality of skin on both the knees and elbows will result in a very slow tattoo process and nerves are very close to the surface in these areas. This could result in the tattooing being unbearable for any length of time for some people. As with the orange areas these tend to be high movement areas and will require a longer healing timescale. You may find that to achieve a good solid colour, you may have to repeat the tattoo process on these areas. As a side note the chest area on men can be much more sensitive to pain than a woman, yet due to the tighter skin on a male, the tattoo can be completed quicker.

Pain level 4 (OWCHIE!)
Areas include hips, ribcage, stomach, back of knees, armpit, inside of elbow, nipples, lips, inside of thighs and genitals. Are you really sure you want to get that tattoo? As these areas can elicit crying, half finished tattoos or even the customer passing out. This could just be more than you may be able to handle. All of these purple areas are considered by most to be the most painful areas to be tattooed. The stretchy or thin skin over bone are slow to tattoo, some of these may require multiple sessions to achieve solid colour and smooth shading. Healing can be just as painful as receiving the tattoo and may require a few days off from your regular activities.

SOME USEFUL TIPS WHEN GETTING A TATTOO:

â¢Women are your more sensitive the week prior to and during your cycle. Plan around those dates to have the best experience possible when getting your tattoo.
â¢Use lotion everyday on the area to be tattooed at least 1 week prior for healthier skin and better results.
â¢Do not go out in the sun at least one week prior to being tattooed (including tanning beds) This drys the skin and if peeling occurs could damage the tattoo.
â¢Consider what you will wear for 2 weeks while healing if your tattoo is in an area like the foot, waist, shoulders or chest. Shoes, waistbands, belts, underwear, and bras can all damage tattoos if you do not plan ahead. Find comfortable clothing that will not touch or rub during this time.
â¢Always eat a good meal before being tattooed and drink plenty of fluids.
â¢Be sure to get a good nights rest before your appointment.
â¢Ask what kind of aftercare products you will need when you set up to get your tattoo.
â¢Mention any allergies you may have, pigments, dyes, perfumes.
â¢Some medication may thin your blood, check with your doctor before being tattooed.
â¢Anyone with an autoimmune disorder needs to check with their doctor and should bring a note to be tattooed.

I am planning my next tattoo. I know that i want it to be on my ribs, and be very colorful. I also know I want to encorporate the quote "I'd like to think the best of me was still hiding up in my sleeve" into it. I was thinking maybe flowers, but I'm not sure.. Any ideas of what the actual tattoo could be/look like/pictures?

Answer
Cherry blossom designs always look good on the ribs...or possibly an ivy design so that it looks like it's growing up your side

Both have the potential to be really colourful, and I know those are both huge but it would be easy enough to cut them down or to find a smaller design if need be. You could then have the quote incorporated by placing it on one of the branches or even have it growing out of the ivy.

Hope I've been helpful, good luck with it!

im so nervous about getting my side tattooo help!!?

scene quee

im getting vines with flowers starting on the right side of my butt up my side till the middle of my boob and im really scared please help with tips and ways to help with pain i heard women can handle it better then men ?
please help!!

Answer
Your tatoo is going to look hot. My friend Linda has something similar. She has vines and habiscus flowers and it looks beautiful.

To be honest the black wont really ' hurt ' I say that because its not wrenching pain. A tatoo... is like ... someone taking a plastic ruler... and snapping it against your skin.. okay? Its... uncomfortable but its not 'painful' afterwards the pain ( because of swelling) is like having a bad sunburn... (shrug)

I have two tatoo's one on each of my hips and I was told it would hurt, but when they started it wasn't that bad, more like the discription i told you, The stars are outlined in black and in lined with blue...

To be honest the black didn't bother me at all. They use one needle for the outline on mine. The color is what stung much more. The color was using three little needles.

Okay so you know what? It's going to sting, but bring your ipod with you, or bring your phone and watch tv on it. The pain isnt enough to break your concentration and the time will go by faster.

If you are a small girl (in weight) ... skinny that a tatoo on the ribs is going to hurt a bit, but trust me its going to be okay.

Everyone told me that my tattoo was going to ' kill ' because I wanted it on my hips (hitting the bone and all ) and i was really nervous.

But I got there and sat down and he started tattooing and I was like ' This isn't that bad! .. jeeze '

Just bring an Ipod or a good friend to be there with you.

You'll be fine and your tattoo will look sick!

What is the basic meaning behind the Kabbalah Divine Plan?

popular tattoos for women over 40 on Levi Ward Hancock Mexican War MORMON BATTALION JOURNAL OF LEVI W ...
popular tattoos for women over 40 image

Answer
the most *basic* is Torah

Kabbalah is the most advanced level of Torah study. If one is not fluent in Hebrew, Gematria and the Torah in Hebrew it would be akin to one who took a high school level physics course trying to keep up with NASA's astrophysicists as they explain their most complex theories.

Here is an essay on Kabbalah I wrote a couple of years ago after seeing a number of people present New Age mysticism as Kabbalah.

Kabbalah Kaballa Kabbala Kabala Cabala Cabbala Caballa Cabbalah or however you transliterate it
Kabbalah,by any form of transliteration, is Jewish. Kabbalah as it is promoted by the likes of Madonna, Brittney and Demi bears little resemblance to the Kabbalah as taught by experts such as the late Gershom Scholem and the rabbis of old. Places like the Kabbalah Center teach a New Ager mish mash of various forms of occult/esoteric ancient eastern mysticism from Golden Dawn to Rosicrucian teachings and rely heavily on the medieval superstitions and amulets that were used to symbolize various powers. Often they attempt to integrate these often unrelated esoterica by imposing concepts from other sources into the Zohar and Sephir Yetzirah by way of some of the modern translations. Madonna and other followers of what they call Kabbalah even try to separate it from Judaism outright by stating that Kabbalah isn't Jewish, but a separate religion.

Traditional Kabbalah isn't a religion of itself, it is medieval Jewish mysticism that attempts to understand and gain deepest insight into what the Kabbalist sees as the underlying or hidden meanings of the Torah. If one is not fluent in the Torah in Hebrew, it is impossible to be a genuine Kabbalist. I am not one of those people; my Hebrew is that of a novice, so I do not claim to be an expert on Kabbalah. I can understand basic explanations of it written for the layman in much the same way that I can grasp parts of astro-physics from the writings of Stephen Hawking. I believe that without a working knowledge of Torah in Hebrew as a prerequisite to Kabbalah study, it would be akin to a layman with only a high school level of physics knowledge claiming to be able to grasp the intricacies of Quantum physics because they read a popular text on the topic and follow a guru scientist. Unless one has a thorough knowledge of the Torah and Gematria (Hebrew numerology and mystical meaning associated with each letter) as prerequisites to study of Kabbalah, you aren't going to be able to understand what a Kabbalist knows. Discovery relies on those prerequisites in order to explore the Kabbalah's deepest meanings found in the Torah and to employ the power that is believed to emanate from them. You cannot separate Kabbalah from Torah.

The pop version of Kabbalah calling it a religion independent of Judaism is another form of replacement theology. As other religions that sprang up in a similar method, they take elements of Judaism and use its terms and concepts in ways that are often contradictory to its teachings. The New Ager Kabbalist often dishonors what the Kabbalist believes are it's deepest truths. Kabbalah tattoos of the name of God are a prime example of that kind of disrespect. Adopting somewhat superstitious rituals that became associated with Kabbalah as of prime importance to obtain great power is yet another example. While sexist attitudes may have been a reason that women were not considered as Kabbalah scholars in the past, it also lingered as women were not historically the ones devoted to Torah study giving them prerequisite knowledge necessary to enable them to begin what the Kabbalist considered the most advanced level of Torah. Many Jewish women now study Kabbalah. The prerequisite of being over 40 is also now not always followed if the knowledge of the student is adequate as deemed by the rabbi who is teaching the lessons. Some claim that Jews were remiss in keeping this knowledge " secret" from everyone else. The Kabbalah was not taught to all as it was believed by them to contain wisdom that gave them great power and with great power came great responsibility. They wanted to only share it with those who were prepared and would handle such power without abusing it or dishonoring God.

If you separate Torah and Judaism from Kabbalah, you don't have Kabbalah. I am not really interested in devoting the time or energy that would require me to become a Kabbalist. I prefer to read the works written by Gershom Scholem and Aryeh Kaplan and other respected authorities on the topic. Gershom Scholem was considered the worldâs foremost modern expert on Kabbalah in his lifetime, having a chair at Hebrew University named in his honor. I know I canât be an expert on everything, so I try to find the experts to help me with a laymanâs working knowledge on topics that interest me. If New Age religion is your cup of tea, and you want to call the mix of many different eastern mysticisms and â shamanismâ Kabbalah, so be it. Whether or not Kabbalah or any form of any group's mysticism is foolish or legitimate is not a primary part of my essay here. My essay addresses the emergence of yet another new belief claiming to be the original that is based on corruption of an established one.

You've heard the saying "you're going to have that tattoo when you're old"?

Question G

I know I've heard it from my mom- "just think how its going to look when you're an elderly woman". Then I began to think of the elderly people that I know and if they have any tattoos and none come to mind, so I began to think maybe mom was right. Then I thought to myself how much more popular tattoos have become in the last oh 20 years or so and how many people in their 20s and 30s have tattoos. I don't think its going to be that strange to see elderly people have tattoos in the over the next 40 years since it'll be more common. So my question is to you, do you think its going to become more common for elderly people to have different tattoos and piercings in the coming years since they been more popular?
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I kind of went on a rambling tangent.

Answer
eh, I'm not worried about it. My tats are in places I probably won't be showing off when I'm elderly anyway. And I think they'll be a nice reminder of how I felt when I was young.

Answer
God created a set number of angels 30 billion?; 1/3 of all angels rebelled 10 billion?God turned the rebels into spiritual darkness (demons) and expelled them from heaven. there was a void in heaven of 10 billion open seats.God decided to create humans to replace the demons. God said that He will let demons trick people into following them, but when 10 billion seats in heaven are filled, God will send demons and those who follow demons to hell. demons dress in fake human skin and fly in ufo ships;pretend to be angels of light, ghosts, pagan gods, greys, ouija board movers.jigsaw from saw movie is not only gay but he's antichrist. when people will look at jigsaw, they will see many angels surrounding jigsaw, but in reality those are demons. the main demon is black with red eyes. antichrist is white with red eyes. if anyone worships jigsaw, they'll go to hell 100%. also, soon the world government will be giving mandatory small grey world passport. when people stretch their hands to receive the small grey world passport, a small green electronic tattoo with sixes will be given by lasers. if anyone receives this tattoo, they'll go to hell 100%. people who kill themselves wind up in hell 100%. also, people who blaspheme the Holy Spirit, go to hell as well. God is one but decides to reveal Himself to the world in three distinct persons: as God the Father, as God the Son (Jesus Christ), and as God the Holy Spirit. now, let's switch to the ufo bases that the demons built. they are located on the moon, in lake baikal, underneath mariana trench (atlantis is here), and inside a fake mountain in tibet (buddhists consider this mountain holy, but as was mentioned, pagan gods are demons). there was also a time when 200 angels told God that they would fare better than humans if they had human bodies (angels and demons don't have bodies - they're just spirits). God told them that He could give them human bodies but if they mess up, He'll punish them severely. these 200 spirits agreed to take this deal. what happened was that when these 200 angels (aka anunaki in pagan beliefs) descended on a mountain in middle east, they saw beautiful female descendents of cain, and took them wives for themselves. these 200 anunaki had giants as kids. giants built the pyramids and other colossal monuments around the world. anunaki taught witchcraft, astrology, blood drinking, human sacrifice, abortion, art of war, etc. God became angry and punished the world for following anunaki. anunaki were imprisoned underneath a desert in middle east. 300 thousand giants and 700 thousand people who followed anunaki and other demons were drowned in world flood. only 8 people were saved in the flood. me and u are descendents of these 8 (noah with his wife, and their three sons with three daughters-in-law) who survived in an ark-ship. animals that knelt before noah went into the ark with noah. animals that didn't kneel were drowned. a bit later, nimrod (world leader) and his wife semiramis (she was in charge of a brothel) created a one state pagan religion (sun-moon-bull-sex worship). nimrod was also in charge of building the tower of babel. this tower was built by masons who wanted to reach heaven and fight God and establish pagan religion in heaven. this was silly, to say the least. God burned the top third of this tower, sank the bottom third inside the earth, and changed the original language into 70 different languages. so, one third of builders killed each other because of misunderstanding, one third ran away, and one third were cursed to become apemen and elephantmen. silly atheists claim that we come from apes when in reality apemen were cursed masons. hindu religion has an elephantman deity. this is absurd. let's get to something even weirder. 80 foot dinosaurs live beneath the earth. they will soon come out through lakes and sinkholes. this is a punishment for spreading ideas of evolution. major climate change will follow. there won't be any clean water left. world government will hide food on purpose too. stores with food will be set up to laser people with the above-mentioned evil tattoo. it's better to die from hunger than receive this tattoo. now, let's go to the main message of christianity. God incarnated (took on human body) to die for our sins so that we can go to heaven. now why was this necessary? well, remember the 10 billion seats from before? yep, they're all empty because everyone went to hell. there were only 2 people that went to heaven (enoch and elijah). so, God didn't want all people to burn in hell, so He provided a cure for this - He died on the cross for our sins and went to hell to pick "believers in Him during their lives on earth" to take them to heaven. now most people go to hell too, but christians don't. why? because God said that if you believe in what He did for you on the cross, and feel sorry for your sins, and stop sinning, you'll go to heaven.

Answer
the real God (Christian God: the Holy Trinity) created a set number of angels on the 2nd day...let's say 30 billion. 1/3 of all angels rebelled against God...10 billion...God turned the rebels into spiritual darkness aka demons. well, technically, God had mercy on them because He didn't kill them or send them straight to hell. God gave them a chance to repent of what they've done. so, demons had about at least 7000 years to ask God to forgive them. they didn't do it. so, now they'll burn in hell with all the people who follow them (aka witches/wizzards, astrologers/tarot card readers, mediums/seers, ghost hunters, etc.). well, of course, if these witches/astrologers/mediums/etc. repent of their sins and ask God to forgive them, God will forgive them. so, what I 'm saying, everybody's got a shot to go to heaven - they just have to ask God to forgive them their sins.
demons disguise themselves as ghosts, greys, aliens, pagan gods, etc. basically just everywhere u go (something paranormal or religious like ouija board, channeling, dead relatives during seances), it's the demons almost all the time. to fight demons, u gotta be a christian. here are some christians' thoughts. spread the warning, please.
jigsaw from 'saw' movie is the antichrist.
devil is black with red eyes.
antichrist is white with red eyes.
jigsaw will rule from jerusalem in a few years.
jerusalem is the whore of babylon.
mark of the beast is similar to the 'in time' movie tattoo; tattoo with three
green-glowing sixes will be given with small gray world passport by lasers.
Vyatcheslav Krasheninnikov (1982-1993) said this:
-china will attack russia
-jews will lose war against muslims
-80 foot dinosaurs will come out thru lakes and sinkholes. don't go near lakes and sinkholes.
-statue of liberty will make one step forward and then collapse
-antichrist has white powder on his face. his eyes are red. don't worship him.
-green electronic tattoo will be given by lasers when people stretch their hands to receive small gray world passport. don't take chip. don't take world passport. don't take any tattoos.
-demons dress in fake human skin and fly in ufo ships. don't go into a ufo ship.
people who go into ufo ships to be healed by demons, come out zombies.

This question is for women only. Have any women had reconstruction surgery after a mastectomy?

lacy_twin

I am facing the choice of reconstruction surgery and have heard good and bad reports about this surgery. I would like to hear from other women or men that have wives who have had this surgery. Please explain your results and any complications.

Answer
I had reconstruction after I was done with chemo and radiation.
I chose to have a diep flap done, but since my tummy was so small , and my original breasts were so big, I also had to have a saline implant put in. This surgery consists of the plastic surgeon removing the fat and skin and a large blood vessel from your belly button down to you pubic area. They take this flap and attach the blood vessel and then attach the rest. There is a 4-5 day hospital stay after this surgery. You will feel like a truck hit you but it does get better.
Keep in mind that the reconstructed breasts are not going to look exactly like the original ones. Bras and shirts will fit a little different, and you will not have any feeling in the breast.
You can also get implants put in. You will first have to have stretchers put in and then they will insert the implant. This is a personal decision and it's not an easy one to make. I am glad that I did it, it made me feel more complete. After reconstruction you will have to decide if you want a nipple. I have had this surgery, but in most women as with mine it usually shrinks up to nothing. If you want the color tattooed on they can do that also, but that usually fades to nothing.
I did have to have 8 surgeries to have my reconstruction completed. You will leave the hospital with drains in which you have probably had after your mastectomy. It is about 8-10 weeks recovery.
I am pretty happy with the results.
I hope this helps out and doesn't scare you.
