Well, it's your Tattoo, I wouldn't worry about if anyone else likes it on you or not. As for the sexiest place, as a woman I would go with the lower back or right below the navel. Roses and other flower vines look good right below the navel, extending out to the hip bones.

What do you think of tattooed girls?

I've been around tattoos my entire life. My dad, uncle, grandfather, & two of my brothers are all heavily tattooed. I've wanted tattoos ever since I was little & my father is supportive as long as I don't get any that are easily visible & could get in the way of getting a job. I've been planning a sleeve from the top of my shoulder to around my elbow. It's a sketch I've been drawing & editing for the last 7 years & it's going to be my 18th birthday present before I head off to college. However, I don't want people to get the wrong idea if they somehow see it.

What do you think when you see a girl that is tattooed? Obviously not a small one, something big like the sleeve I'm planning to get. It's okay to be rude, I just want your honest opinion & your reasoning, if you have any.

I personally think tattoos on girls are hot, as long as it's strategically placed. Too much tattoo or certian designs make them look manly or dirty. Personally, that sleeve tattoo u're planning doesn't seem a good idea, especially for a girl. What if you need to go to a formal party in the future? U can't wear sleeveless gowns or dresses without looking manly. Usually, the ones that look great on girls are on the the back of the neck, hand, armband or back of the shoulders and the ones that are not overly-colored and do not exceed 3 inches.

Well, it's actually just a matter of preference and your own style. It's still best to get one that suits your personality, because tattoos shouldn't just be accessories but self-expression. The stuff I mentioned above are just tips to consider. Also consider the fact that some employers don't accept inked emploees, like in some hotels, restaurants, planes and ships. So if your dream career is related to those, I suggest you think about it really well.

This question got deleted before i was able to get a real answer. I had to explain somewhat in detail about intercourse i had with a girl in order to get my story across, so if you can't mature up and read this without reporting it, then click the back button on the top left corner of the screen.

Okay, so first of all, I'm in a fraternity.. We were throwing an all night rager at the frat castle and I had the night off from being pledgemaster. I let the pledges have one night of freedom because i'm just a gentleman like that, but anyways I was going shot4shot with this cute sorority girl (We're top tier so we only have the hot sororities at our events.) we drank for a while and and she started wanting to have conversations but i know that leads to nowhere so i gave the hint that me and her should leave together and we both went back to her sorority house. So when i started undressing her, i noticed she had a small tattoo of a face and a name, but i was really drunk so i didn't take a detailed look, but i did find it weird that a southern sorority belle had a tramp stamp above her butt, it seemed kinda trashy to me. But i was drunk and didn't care at that point. So we started going at it, and about 15 minutes into the intercourse, i told her to switch positions so i could hit it from behind, and That's when i really got to get a good look at the tattoo (If that statement offends you, grow up) The tattoo was a picture of my dads face and his name circled around the face. I thought i was seeing things to be honest because we had raged so hard and tried to ignore it but i kept looking down at it every 15 or so seconds. While this was happening, i slowly reached into the pockets of my polo shorts that were laying on the bed next to me and pulled out my phone to take a picture so when i woke up the next morning i would remember it. She didn't see me take the picture, thank goodness.

ANyways the rest of the hookup was the wierdest, most confusing time of my life. Being a young frat star, I've pretty much seen it all, but this was a whole new experience to me. So we parted ways and i went back to a friends dorm to get some rest and he's a GDI so i know it would be quiet at his place. Sure enough when i woke up, not only did i find dip spit on my boat shoes, but i also found the picture. That's when my memory jogged. That was a few weeks ago and i do have that girls number, but i don't know whether to call her and ask or call my dad and ask. Maybe i should forget it ever happened. My dad was a young frat star at my age too so i know he could get any woman he wanted to, but i'm just plain confused about this. My mom was the Miss of *university name redacted for privacy reasons* so i know he wouldnt cheat on his trophy wife, but she is getting old and maybe he got bored and is messing with younger girls now. EIther way, is this any of my business or should i just leave it alone and forget it happend? thanks.

If I were you I would bring it up in conversation with your dad about how you noticed a girl you were dating had a back tattoo, or ask the girl about the tattoo. That's all you can do for closure in finding out whether or not that really was a tatt of your dad. I don't believe in that "is this any of my business" stuff b/c you noticed it legitamtly while having sex with her. I wouldn't "not" saying anything and worry about whether you're crossing a line by asking her, b/c you're related to him....it's an elephant in the room. You might as well ask her, b/c if it lasts then you have to deal with it, but if it doesn't you don't want to be left not knowing.

A cross like that out in the open wouldn't necessarily show your dedication to God. Crosses in tattoos have become like roses, skulls and Chinese symbols - cliche and very over done. A smaller cross would be nice, but maybe more modest looking, its the fancy ones that are overdone. A lot of people who are not religious get crosses done, so somewhere more out of sight would be a good way of making sure you don't get visually judged into that group of people.
A girl I knew a few years ago had a verse that meant a lot to her and had just the reference tattooed (sorry I don't know what it's called, the part that comes after the verse, like John 3:16). It was neat because it was clear that she was religious but it also didn't give it away, it made you want to go and look up which verse it was.

So I really like tattoos & piercings. I'm 17 & I have my septum, bellybutton & upper ear pierced.

When I'm 18 (in December) I really want to get my tongue pierced & a portrait on my forearm.

My parents are very religious, conservative people. I don't believe in god & I don't attend church. I'm a virgin & I smoke pot occasionally.

I just feel If I get tattoos & piercing they won't accept me. They're always talking about how"trashy" they are & I'll look like a "hoe" idk what to do... I'm scared.

If you want a tattoo, get it. I'm also in your situation. I have both nostrils pierced, stretched ears, cartilage, septum, and I'm getting my belly pierced. I plan on getting a lot of tattoos and I also feel they won't accept me. My parents aren't hardcore Christians or anything, they don't attend church very often, but my mom doesn't like tattoos and my dad always goes by what my mom says, yet he has tattoos himself. When you're 18, you can legally get a tattoo without parent permission. Get the tattoo in a easy to hide area, such as your back, legs, stomach, ect. You can easily hide those with clothing. After awhile of having it, you can eventually show it to them. There's not really anything they can do about it after you have it. They should accept you for you, and yeah they might be mad at first but they will probably get over it. Also, having tattoos and/or piercings does not make you trashy or a hoe, and don't listen to that person up there. I think tattoos look awesome on old people. You won't regret it, trust me. As long as it's not something stupid and you did it professionally and took care of it right.

Q. I remember once when I was in North Africa, a man was showing me a necklace that had a little charm on it. He said that women got this tattooed on their body to show their relationship status or something like that. you might be thinking of Henna body art, its different from normal tattoos as its drawn on the surface of the skin with a dye, rather than injecting ink below.

Will my hair fall out if i dye it two days in a row?

OK, so my friend and i got really bored so we decedied to blreach my hair. And when we were done bleching it was really light blonde and i didnt look good at all... So about 27 hours later we decided to dye it black. Now people are telling me that my hair is gunna fall out is that true?

That's a 50/50 risk, you'll have to take when you play with chemicals. Hair loss is just one of the side effects.

That's like asking, will I get cancer if I smoked 2 packs a day? Some smoke all their lives and do not get cancer, but there are those who are 2nd or 3rd hand smoke who are now carrying their oxygen tank so they can breath.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.

........attire and body "art" could be indicative of their sexual morality..but now days?...less than ever...I have met MANY church girls....who were wearing white frilly dresses...no tattoos...no piercings.......VERY proper......mom would love them........and they were "wild".......when given the opportunity.........we are all human........have some "kahunas".......tell your date how you feel about virginity right up front...she will tell you how she feels ...or may remain silent...that should give you , your answer......it's not like they are going to walk around with their pants down...or with a sign....it's not quite like 50 years ago when you could tella "jesabelle" by her makeup and clothing...girls like to dress sexy..it's in their software...to attract boys..it's the way they are made...and Madison Avenue only serves to intensify this with all their sexually based ads........lowrise jeans...tube tops...halter tops....string bikinis....thongs......etc.etc. Ambercrombie & Fitch...........get me?.........so while they may dres like the crowd...there is a HUGE sense of wanting to "belong", especaially at a young age.......that doesn't necessarily mena they want to have premarital sex........church is a much better place to look for a virgin , however, than in a bar........or a "heavy meat all"......erhhh....I mean "heavy metal"........concert........lol....

Honestly, I think it depends on what you're planning to do, and who you are around. Alot of big corporations won't hire if you have visible tattoos, and it is not appropriate in many related social settings. But if you are planning on doing something offbeat and don't care about what people think, then screw them. Do what you want, as long as you're willing to face potential long-term consequences.
Also, I wouldn't suggest getting a tattoo that you saw on somebody else for the sake of getting a tattoo. If it means something to you then that's great, but otherwise, it's prime material for regret. Don't you want a piece of art unique to you?

Well dear, what exactly do you feel about life, regrets, and belief? You should be inspired by someting before you mark yourself with it...not decide to get a marking and scramble to find something to fill space. You're doing it all backwards.

Center yourself, read some books, live some life, find something that really speaks to your soul, and come back to the tattoo thing in a few years when you're really ready. Please don't do it just get a tattoo because it's trendy..especially a quote. If you want something fast, get an image. An image is more prone to interpretation than actual words. Getting a quote is something different...it's an unabstracted definition of something that's a part of you...either it's a mantra you live by or it's a phrase that got you through a tough time or it's something that someone you loved repeated to you...something along those lines. Picking something at random might not hold up over time. You don't want to live with something untrue.

This is a question for guys, but girls can answer if they want too.
When I get older I wanted to get tattoos and a simple belly piercing. I wanted the words 'Young and Beautiful tattoo in fine print on both my wrists. I wanted 'You are beautiful' tattooed in french on my rib cage. I also wanted three little black sparrows the top of my back (not my shoulder blade, right under it). Then I wanted a little heart on my ankle. And lastly, I wanted the word 'Peace' on my hip bone 'cause I'm a Libra and they love peace.
What do you guys think of these tattoos? I asked some of my close guys friends and they said they don't like belly piercings or tattoos on an African american girls, and that's what i am, but I'm not dark, I have a fair skin tone.
There's a 50/50 change I might actually do this when I turn eighteen. Thank you for all your answers:)

If you have any more children, I'm sure you could have them tattooed just above the others on your wrists, or on your ankles instead ^_^ I think it's a very original idea. Failing that, you could have them with angel and fairy wings, which could also represent that your poor Tyson has passed to the other side. I think it might be more artistic than a halo and crown? Maybe that's just me as I practice angel magic...

I have a tattoo on my wrist/inner fore-arm.

It's a flower and I'm adding a hummingbird to it...it looks great on me. And it goes about halfway up my forearm, but the hummingbird wil take up more room. It is a cover-up of an original butterfly that was home-made and looked ghetto as f.

I'm also going to potentially get a sleeve, and if I do that, I am getting two skeletons (bride and groom) with day of the dead makeup on my inner forearm to flow into my gypsy skull on my left upper arm...

I think you should wait. When I was your age I wanted to get a piercing, but mum thought a tattoo would be better as it's easier to hide than a lip ring. The woman at the studio advised against it though, you can just take a piercing out but tattoos stay forever; and I'm rather glad she did. Today I see kids at school with these horribly tacky tattoos; I'm sure it made sense when they made it, but this one guy has "nothing else matters" in a tacky font diagonally across his biceps, like what? And then there's this fifteen year old guy with tribals. Even the girl that was sooo cool when she got a tattoo in seventh grade; her flowers on her abdomen and side are just ugly.

If you do get a tattoo, make it small and absolutely don't make any quotes. That's what people regret the most because in a couple of years it might just look retarded.

However, to actually answer your question. You will grow, but I don't think it would mess your tattoo up much, unless you go risky and put it around your chest/tummy/hips/thighs. Women tend to never stop developing, but you probably know that best yourself.
Have you grown since last year? If you don't feel like your growth has slowed down, it'll probably continue. To get a good answer, you should visit a doctor or the school nurse; and the tattoo artist you have in mind, I'm sure s/he has an opinion.

My boyfriend recently got one on his neck and he said it didn't hurt. but then our friend got one on his neck and passed out but none of my girl friends have one there. I also have a tattoo on my lower back that goes up and down with my spine.

It depends on the person. My Leo insignia almost didn't hurt at all, and I have a low pain tolerance. My wrist, ankle, upper arm, and arm all hurt more. I plan to get my back done soon and will go in assuming that it will hurt slightly more than my neck.

Long story short: If you can handle the back (especially your spine), you can most likely handle the neck.

Do not worry about it looking trashy. If a person hates tattoos, theyre going to tell you it looks trashy no matter where you put it. (disreguard those people, they suck). On your upper back would be cute, or on your ankle, or foot? (im not skinny either, i have one on my ankle, and on my foot). The foot one is easy to cover (obviously) and even though I hate feet....I think foot tattoos are cute.

I think that no matter where you go, you'll have some people who love them and some who hate them. I've seen women with them, and I think they look great. Personally, I think it's your body, and you should decorate it any way you please, and be proud of it, regardless of what other people think

Ever since I got pregnant with my second daughter, due Dec 5th, I have wanted to get 2 tattoos. They are of my daughters names and would be on my wrists. I was just wondering how long I should wait before getting them. I am not breast feeding because of complications with my first so that isn't a factor. Thank you.

I think it's funny how 3 out of 4 of your answers so far don't even answer your question.

If you want to get a tattoo, or two tattoos in this case, I would wait 6 weeks after your child is born. Even if you are not breast feeding, your body will still be going through a major change and will need to heal. Allow your body to heal and get better before you do something that could potentially lead to an infection. Also, many women's abdomens don't shrink back to normal size for a couple weeks, and a tattoo parlor might turn you away if they think you are still pregnant.

The best thing to do is talk to your doctor and then talk to a tattoo artist. They will both be able to tell you what is best, but I still recommend waiting 6 weeks even if they advise that you can do it sooner.

All tattoos become ugly and repulsive if they are desecrating the living bodies of human beings. Your body is not a canvas for so-called art--it is the living shell that your spirit resides in. It is to be protected and cared for, not abused by the filthy hands of the tattoo predator injecting ink into your skin. Here is why you should avoid tattoos like the plague they are:
1) Tattoos are an urban blight. They offend most people who see them. They are ugly, like graffiti. Like graffiti, they lower the quality of the environment. Tattoos lower the quality of life, for everyone who has to see their ugliness.
2) The whole concept of tattooing is wrong--the way these hideous cartoons are inked into the flesh of people through bloodletting and pain, possibly resulting in infection and disease--if they are "art", they are a dark and evil âartâ.
3) Tattoos are closely linked to other forms of self harm, like cutting, piercing, drug use, incarceration, etc.; they are hand-in-glove with these destructive behaviors.
4) Evil people encourage our vulnerable children to get tattooed so they can make money off of them. They do not care that they are causing harm. And yet, these evil ones, these tattoo predators, with their cruel eyes and dark hearts, are even admired by their deceived victims. What a sick world we are in!
5) Young people are fooled into wanting tattoos by degenerate Hollywood and their degraded âmovie starsâ and musicians, and promoted by the prostitute mass media. Our deceived children think tattoos are cool and cutting edge, but over time, they wind up hating their tattoos. Far worse, they wind up hating themselves.
6) Weak parents and older people abandon their duties to lead their young even though they know better. They are so afraid of being disliked, so desperate to be âlikedâ that they say nothing against tattoo. Worse, some completely abandon their responsibility to provide sound guidance and even encourage the young ones to get tattooed.
7) How it hurts so see the deceived young one so angrily defensive about what will ruin and hurt them--their right to get tattooed.

There are many predators and enablers here, who encourage young people to abandon decency and live self indulgent and destructive lives. Know there is no such thing as a tattoo "artist"--there are only tattoo predators who seek to hurt you and take your money. The tattoo industry is full of abuse and negligence. Tattoo removal is a growth industry. Tattoo lawsuits are soaring due to the harm caused by the tattoo predators who abuse the young people who mistakenly trust them. If you were tattooed as a minor or while intoxicated, take the tattoo parlor and the tattoo predator who ruined your body to court. Make them pay for what they have done to you. God bless you. Young people-- stay in school, do your best there, avoid drinking, drugs, tattoos and piercings, and avoid those who have them. Go to college, study science, mathematics, or business, and avoid liberal arts, unless you are wealthy and do not have to support yourself and your family.

It can be a very sexy tattoo. I have seen it on top models. Just make sure it isn't too skinny and it should look great.
