I have tattoos that cover over half of my body and I gave up tanning beds and laying out in the sun for hours when I decided to start tattooing myself as the sun will ruin my ink. If I use fake tanning lotion will that act as a cover up for my tattoos? Because I wouldn't want that.

Hi I work at a tanning salon so maybe I can help you. There is one particular girl that comes in and her body is COVERED in tattoos, and I'm talking sleeves, neck tattoos, her belly her back and her legs. Awesome tats though. But she was also worried about her tattoos fading, but she hated that she was so white. She also surfs a lot so her tats are really faded.

She doesn't seem to care. What she does is put sunblock on the parts of her body that are tattooed, which is a lot, but it seems to help a little bit. She uses the tanning beds.

But your question was about sunless tanner. I'm thinking that it probably won't do anything to your tattoos. I don't think it will cover them up or anything, maybe the color will look a little weird, I'm not really sure.

Ohhhh matching tattoos, such a dilemma. My boyfriend in high school really wanted to get matching tattoos... then we broke up a couple months later. Dodged THAT bullet! haha.

I realize that the idea of matching tattoos are cute and romantic... But just make sure you realllly think about it before you take the plunge. A tattoo is forever (sometimes, a boyfriend is not).

But, if you've really thought it out and you know you'll be with him forever here are some cool ideas:

-Half a heart on the side of your rib, like below your armpit. (It's cute and when you hug your "heart" will be complete. It's also a good choice because it's in a very discrete place, so if you ever do break-it off it's not too noticeable. It's also a good location for future job interviews =]

-Another fun idea is maybe a simple number that is important to you both. For example, my current boyfriend of six years and I started dating on January 10. So 10 has always just kind of been "our number". You could place it on your wrist, or anywhere really.

-If you're both really into music I think one of the coolest ideas for couple's tatts is to have the girl get the treble clef and the boy get the bass clef inked in the same location. It's something cute together, but also cute if you should ever break up.

I love it. Anything that jerks at your heart strings when you read a script makes for a great tattoo. All of mine represent the struggles I've overcome & it gives you a sense of pride. I would put it on a shoulder blade or wrapped around your hip bone. You could get something shorter like "Fighter" or "Survivor". Angel wings, an arrow, an anchor, things like that represent hope, the future, or memories of the things that weighed you down. Smaller things like that would be adorable on the ankle or even behind the ear where your hair can cover it or you can show it off when throwing your hair up.

That's awesome. Tattoos are so individual that unless it looks trashy as in how you act making it trashy then there isn't anything wrong with it. People just like to judge others. It really depends on the exact career she wants to go into. If I were her, I'd put in on my shoulder. I have a tattoo on my shoulder blade, and I'm planning on going into the Air Force, where no visible tattoos are acceptable. To create a sense of professionalism with a tattoo, and if she really wants it on her arm, maybe she can put it on the front of her arm near the shoulder, or on the chest.

Red hair, A lot like country/ pop/ rock, but the first is the best in my opinion.

Not many can pull off Blues well any more, and while Country is my fave genre it gets to be same old same.

Just my opinion CH, but Janis was one of the best at Blues in her own way, she had good reasons, and certainly there were dozens of others.

I think Tiffany, if she discovered her roots, should stay with them. Pop may be popular, but gets tedious in the 3 minutes it takes to hear the same lyrics repeated too often.

How will it affect the tattoo?

I'm five foot ten inches tall and a size 16 in women's pants. I wish to get a tattoo covering about 85-90% of my back. If I were to lose weight, or have a child, how would that affect the tattoo? It will be a very detailed tattoo. Will it shrink if I lost some weight and will a pregnancy mess it up? Thanks for your time and help.

The only way it will shrink is if you shrink. You're a 16, not a big girl hun. When I think of tattoos becoming distorted by losing weight or gaining weight, I think of losing or gaining hundreds of pounds. Tattoos won't shrink, but, they can look funny in skin folds of large people who lose large amounts of weight. Don't worry about it, a size 16 isn't large. Having a child, that may affect your tattoo more than losing weight. When you have a baby you develop stretch marks, which can appear in the design of the tattoo, and cause the skin to look thinner, which makes the tattoo look like it has faded or lost color. Your back though, I wouldn't worry so much about the weight gain in the back as I would about the belly area. You'll be fine, go ahead and get the tattoo, and enjoy every second of it!!! That's a large commitment, and it will change your life! I say for the better, so for for it!!!

I wanted to get one in an area no-one would see, unless I wanted them too, and I got it just under the hairline and neck crease. At first I thought it was a silly mistake because mines is text so quite big and because I cant see it in the mirror I've no idea how visible it is but I've had it for years and you've no idea how many friends I have who exclaim "Oh my god, I didn't realise you had a tattoo", when I'm leaning down or something!! And my hair is very thin and only shoulder length so it's not as if you need Claudia Schiffer hair.

The other places I thought about were the top of my thigh, at the side, because - as my tat artist says - you don't want to put it in a place you may get stretch marks...could make your lion look like harry potter!

Well, it depends on who you ask. I'm a tattoo artist, and we refer to them in the business as lower back tattoos. The only time you may hear it, (at least around my shop) is when some girl, (looking like she's been missing out on soap and water for a week) comes in to price one, and when she finds out what tattoos cost, heads out the door. Now, that phrase is derogatory toward women in general, and was likely coined by some narrow-minded geek, who wasn't getting any. So, he came up with the term, out of nothing more than lust, jealousy of her boyfriend, and good old fashioned self-righteous indignation. Too bad popular opinion, among the ill educated, swings the other way. Also, good lower back tattoos are conformed to the lines of the body, particularly across the top of the hips. they can cut it low, so it can be hidden with regular jeans, but still show it off in the bedroom, or on the beach. To me, that in itself shows a dignified attitude about placement. NOT to be confused with a 'bulls-eye' as that is put on for different motives, and a whole different subject. The fairy is a fairy tattoo, that also happens to be a lower back tattoo. Calling it a 'tramp stamp' is ridiculous. That's my two cents.

Because they are stupid. Personally, I wouldnt even want a "sexy" tattoo anyway- what the hell constitutes for a sexy tattoo?! A butterfly? How the f u c k is a butterfly sexy. I don't know. Who cares about sexy? I love the art in tattoos, and the stories behind them (although i feel aesthetics are a good enough reason to get a tattoo) and personally I cant even imagine what a sexy tattoo looks like lol. I love sleeves too, theres something about them thats just really...well, just great. I wouldnt get sleeves because they wouldn't suit me, but i cant see why a sleeve couldnt be as "sexy" as a small tattoo. Its all in the eye of the beholder. Some people talk utter boll o c ks to be precise, and those people should be ignored. -_-

My area is mostly white, and I am white. My mother would prefer I stay with a woman I share the same heritage with. I did date a couple women who were not really that white, and it didn't bother me. The first was Hawaiian, and she was a mixture of Hawaiian and Mexican. Her problem was she liked every other guy she met as well. The second woman I dated who was not real white looking looked more southern European. She was very protective of her racial make up. I at one time told her she didn't have to feel ashamed of her ancestors. I think she must have had either a considerable amount of Native American ancestry, or something else. She had an olive complexion, brown eyes, brown hair, she was short and very sweet. She reminded me almost of a Gypsy. We went to a tattoo parlor to look around once. The lady working their showed me Irish tattoos, and pointed out Native American tattoos for her. That was the only real difference I found among people. My family is fairly racist, but I introduced her to all of them. No one raised a white flag and none told me she was to dark to date. I think she could pass as an Italian. Her mother I met was white, as were her siblings, but they had a different father. The picture she showed me of her deceased father must have been wrong, he looked really white. Her mother did go to bars when she was younger, she may have gotten with a guy of mixed ancestry. I really have to say that she was the sweetest girl I ever met. I blew the relationship, and it bothered me for a long time.

As for asking about how to get an attractive white woman, there are plenty around here. Since I have blue eyes and pale skin I think I fit in with dating them more than others might. But my behavior in the past has not set me up to be a successful husband. I have really nothing to offer a woman but love.

Actually I do want the flowers there I'm just not sure about it because if you look at the picture, the girl's tattoo is slanted and i want mine going straight across my lower back (horizontally). So if you think it would look good going straight across from the wings (one side of the wings to the other) let me know cause I would do that, instead of it going slanted vertically.

Without color & light shading at the shop I go to that would be around $150-200, price usually depends on the shop & quality of the artist's work. I can't give a price for color because I have black ink.

The lower back is a large area & shading hurts like a mother. Areas with little fat, or are bone-y like your feet, knees, wrist, etc. usually hurt more than other places. Some people say the opposite, I guess it depends on you.

Like you, I thought over the idea of getting a tattoo for years, to me the pain was worth it.

A talented tattoo artist can make that easily, they can alter it too if you want to make it unique.

Would it be tacky for a female to get a scorpion on the nape of the neck?

The biggest question is WHAT DO YOU THINK?. You will always get mixed opinions on this subject. Some people think that Tattoos are tacky full stop, other don't. I personally don't have any, but I don't mind them on anyone else. Its just my choice.
Having it on the the nape of your neck would obviously be for other peoples benefit as you will not see it, only in a mirror. Just be mindful for the future, ie any jobs you might be interested in, employers are very focused on image and what examples their employees set, so a simple Tattoo could affect your future if see in an obvious place.
But the bottom line is - Its your decision.

I like the traditional "M" shape (if you will) of scorpio and the line with the arc shape on top for libra ( i'd settle for the scales also). Any ideas for a sweet design?

Although I don't typically encourage couple tattoos, my thought would be to place the middle shaft of the Scorpio symbol, through the hole in the Libra symbol. When you have it done, ask the artist to make the middle shaft appear to be behind the hole at the top of the hole in Libra, then in front of the bottom line. The outside shafts of the Scorpio symbols would be opposite of the middle, the left and right shafts covering the top line and going behind the bottom. Sounds complicated, but your artist will be able to visualize it. I would do the Scorpio in your favorite color, and the Libra in his. Or you could do the Scorpio in Pink, a nice dark pink, and the Libra in blue. I know, kind of cheesy, blue for boy pink for girl, but it would contrast nicely.

Tattoo in the Military.?

I was thinking about getting a tattoo on my wrist. Its 3 interlocking stars about 2x2 inches, but would the military make get it removed if I joined.I'm seriously thinking about joining the USAF, but don't want to either get rejected or have to have it laser removed. I've read that tattoos have to be hidden or otherwise could effect you job placement. I donât have tattooed eyebrows, but three small hoop rings on one side. I like them and it doesnât look too bad. I didnât find out until after I had done my own peircings that there is a nerve up there that if hit, can paralyze the whole side of your face, hmmmm. Guess I got lucky there.
We worked at a mill in an isolated location in British Columbia and there was a young couple that got on there for a while too. They had spent time in Africa and she had tribal tattoos on her face. She was and is a very pretty young woman, but I thought then and still do that they looked rather cool.
These days a lot of people are getting tattoos of Japanese symbols, that depending on who sees them may result in some not so good misunderstandings. Be aware of what you are getting and know some of the culture behind it before you get the tattoo. Itâs easy enough to get a cover up, but on the face, I donât think so. I am considering one on the face, but I have considered the same tattoo a few years now, so it is a big decision for me. I already have six tattoos, but none on my face (yet). It does not ruin a beautiful face when done right Be prepared to live with it the rest of your life It definitely does add character to a personâs face, but not all peopleâs faces. Be careful of what symbols etc. that you do get as sometimes they can have different meanings; depending on who sees them.

i don't like when they're covered in it, unless they're a tattoo artist, since it's pretty much their passion.

if the tattoo means something to that person i think it's fine. i don't like tattoos that are thought up at the last minute or tattoos that are drawn just because their friends have it, or it makes them look tough and whatnot.

My boyfriend and I have a long distance relationship and we try to make it work the best the way we know how (via Skype, phone calls, texting). I am totally in love with my boyfriend, but he says he loves me but is not in love with me. I was fine with this since we have only been together a short while. Our relationship was great. I completely trusted him and he is a good person. He posts love songs on my Facebook every other day. He shares my photos on his Facebook page. He sends me sweet texts all of the time telling me how happy he is with me and he even said to me, "How about I put a ring on your finger?" when I kept asking him if he thought we would work out doing the long distance thing. He is also going to get my name tattooed on his chest, which I was going to do the same (and I have never thought to do such a thing with any other guy). He always assures me that I am his baby and we will always be together no matter what. (He is a possessive Taurus). I love my Taurus guy, but I have lost trust in him after what happened this morning.

This morning a woman contacted him on Facebook and tried to pursue him though his relationship status says he is with me. To make this short as possible, she sent me the messages of their IM conversation. My boyfriend called me and told me about this woman only after she threatened to send the messages. They were IMing for 3 hours. It started out with her telling him how fine he is and he told her she was beautiful. Then she said I was lucky to have him and she hadn't met a decent guy. My bf told her the right guy would come along soon and she said maybe it was him, but he is just in a situation. My bf said 'yea, but he is a faithful guy'. She called me an 'ugly b' and he just said 'lol dat's mean'. Then she said they look better together and he said 'trust me i want u cuz ur my type and everything and I wish we could have met u 2 months ago cuz den I'll be wit u
but right now its her chance and I'm a honorable guy. I'm going to see where me and her relationship go'. Then she says 'let that ugly b**** go and upgrade to me'. He says 'I really can't. Not right now.' After I read all of this where he is entertaining this woman and agreeing with her that he can do better, but he is not going to leave me yet... I just broke up with him and ignored his calls. A hour or so past and she sends me another long list of messages and now he is saying she messed up our rship and she is evil, but yet he wants to get to know her and see what she is about. She lol at ruining our rship and said he got over me fast. He told her he wasn't over me and tried to call me to get me back. Then she told him not to call me anymore and to change his rship status. She said he was going to be hers and she couldn't wait for me to see that on his Facebook. He just 'lol'. There were so many messages and he basically entertained this woman and downplayed our rship and told her what she wanted to hear for the most part.

I was so furious. I couldn't even breath. I have not eaten all day. I got on Facebook and went to his page and there is this status update:

"I love my baby (my whole name) so much and no other chick on here can ever try 2 take me away cause im only hers and no1 else's so all u other women fall back cause u can never break us apart."

I am a Virgo woman and this way too much to take in. My mind is all over the place. I cannot be vulnerable with my bf anymore. I feel so sad and hurt, but yet cold and indifferent. I can't bring myself to tears. He has been sending me texts saying he is with me no matter what and will never let anyone come between us, but he just did. I can't take him seriously anymore. He told this woman he wished he'd met her first. He even got mad at me and yelled on my voice mail to answer the phone, but yet was still IMing this woman. I guess I answered my own question by sharing this. Leave him. By the way, that chick was a crazy Cancer.

It's up to you about whether or not you want to take him back. Follow your heart. Some things to remember while making your decision are he told her he wished he would have met her first. She my dear is a slut. They ruin relationships. If he would have been considerate to you he would have blocked her instead of saying some of the stuff he said to her. He put that status on facebook about you being his baby and stuff afterwards because he wants to try to reel you back in and things may be good for a while if you got back together but he'd (more than likely) go back to doing the same stuff he did. Trust me I've been through this before. You can find someone better. It may take time, but you will. Goodluck :)

In 1807, Zheng Yi died, and Ching Shih maneuvered her way into his leadership position. The fleet under her command established hegemony over many coastal villages, in some cases even imposing levies and taxes on settlements. According to Robert Antony, Ching Shih "robbed towns, markets, and villages, from Macau to Canton." She was fearless and disciplined her men with strict rules and castrated any man who would commit rape.
The Red Flag Fleet under Ching Shih's rule could not be defeated â not by Qing dynasty Chinese officials, not by the Portuguese navy, not by the British. But in 1810, amnesty was offered to all pirates, and Ching Shih took advantage of it. She ended her career in 1810, accepting an amnesty offer from the Chinese government. She kept her loot, married her lieutenant and adoptive son Cheung Po Tsai, and opened a gambling house.
She died in 1844, at the age of 69.

I was about to say get a bunch of tattoos, build up, cheat on your wife, and walk around with some tattooed women next to you.

If this is who you're talking about, then you could dye your hair a medium brown and make it curly. Get a tan (which I would never recommend), but she's tan so you'd have to tan to look like her. You could copy her make up, it looks kind of simple. Use plenty of eyeliner and mascara, along with a lip plumper lip gloss. Work out and eat healthy, since she does have a pretty nice body.
