I'm 14 and a female. I liked Harry Potter(all 7), The Hunger Games (all 3), etc. I wasn't the BIGGEST Twilight fan, but I'll read something similar. I like pretty much all genres except like non-fiction, etc. Thank you!

Answer
From the Novelist database, these are read alikes to the Hunger Games:

1. Birthmarked

O'Brien, Caragh M.
Reason: While Birthmarked does not contain as much physical action as The Hunger Games, both of these suspenseful dystopian novels feature strong heroines who stand up to the authorities who would oppress them and the people they love. -- Jennifer Stubben Hatch

2. Blood red road

Young, Moira
Reason: In both of these fast-paced, futuristic-earth, dystopian novels, strong female characters must find their inner warrior in bleak circumstances in order to save a loved one and defeat dangerous societies. Secondary characters and underlying romance add even more dimension. -- Sarah Stanley

3. Graceling

Cashore, Kristin
Reason: While The Hunger Games is science fiction and Graceling is fantasy, each of these stirring tales of adventure and romance features a strongly independent heroine, political intrigue, a tense love triangle, and compelling writing. -- Ellen Foreman
4. Matched

Condie, Allyson Braithwaite
Reason: Although Matched is less action-packed, both thought-provoking visions of the future feature teen girls standing up to the authorities in their dystopian worlds and becoming involved in love triangles with an old friend and a new partner in defiance. -- Lesley James
5. Under the never sky

Rossi, Veronica
Reason: Strong but not always certain heroines are at the center of these compelling novels, both of which are set in a distant future where mere survival requires major effort. These stories also offer plenty of thrills and precarious romance. -- Jennifer Stubben Hatch

6. Surviving Antarctica

White, Andrea, 1953-
Reason: Both of these gripping page-turners are set in futures where entertainment can be fatal. -- Ellen Foreman

7. Ship breaker

Bacigalupi, Paolo
Reason: Both of these action-packed science fiction novels are set in bleak future worlds where, because of the gap between the haves and the have-nots, the protagonists must make tough choices about helping others at the risk of their own survival. -- Lesley James

8. Variant

Wells, Robison E.
Reason: Both of these fast-paced, gripping stories feature teens who are deliberately left on their own and pitted against each other by cruel adults. -- Jennifer Stubben Hatch

9. Enclave

Aguirre, Ann
Reason: Fans of strong action heroines will enjoy both of these thrilling stories, where the heroines must literally fight for their survival in a harsh dystopian world. -- Jennifer Stubben Hatch
