Answer
I've done a few Zodiac tattoos on peoples wrists and it looks good. Here is the style I've used http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk451/P1ayd0h/cancertat.jpg

Placement has a lot to do with what your priorities and wishes are. If you want to be able to cover it, or not is the biggest issue. Its entirely a personal issue.

A forearm tattoo on a woman is all wrong, IMO. The shoulder blade is a great spot however. Hips, lower back, ankles, nape, belly button area, or even breasts or the side of the torso will work.

Get a felt pen and draw it all over and wear it around for a few days showing it off and asking for opinions. That tattoo is so small and thin it could fit any of the popular spots.

Ladies with tattoos, I need your help....?

Q. I am writing a trend paper on how more women are getting tattoos. So far all of the research is giving me is that we get them, because it makes us feel sexy. I happen to disagree to a point. Iknow that some women DO get them for that reason. I got mine to represent specific times in my life. Why did you get yours and what did you get? Please also let me know if i can contact you via email or messenger for the answers that I like for a little interview to use for my thesis. Thanks..

Answer
I have so many reasons for my tattoos.

My first tattoo I did myself. I was going through a hard time in my life. And I didn't want to make the same mistakes again, so I have something to remember them they by and tell me "Hey... you did that before and it turned out badly".

My second tattoos are two hearts with bat wings on each hip bone.
In the wiccan religion a winged heart means to bring love.
I was going through a very lonely time.

Then my third is the state of Hawaii. This place has made me who I am.
And not only is it a part of me on the inside. But the outside too.

And my Last tattoo is a moon with two lilies on either side and a scarab beetle underneath with its wings spread. I believe strongly in astrology. Being a Cancer my ruler is the moon. My favorite flower is the lily and it is also ruled by the moon. And in the Egyptian zodiac the Cancer was portrayed as a scarab beetle.

My tattoos make me feel powerful because I am not ashamed of what I am.
Who I am and who I was is displayed all over my body, not everyone has the guts to let the world know who they are. My tattoos remind me that I am brave, I am strong, and I can take on anything that life has to throw at me.

What are some good books for teenage girls to read?

Lucy-oh

Ive just recently finished reading Saving Francesca. and i enjoy the twilight series. I like books with relationships, crushes, sex, drama and so on.

Answer
Hi,
I'm a fantasy, sci-fi, horror type reader. Try reading the Mortal Instruments Series by Cassandra Clare they are simply amazing and not to mention they are far better than Twilight, in my opinion anyway. I would highly suggest them if you liked Twilight because they are something a bit different and open your eyes to a different world of vampires and werewolves than Twilight presents.

There are three books in the trilogy:
City of Bones
City of Ashes
City of Glass

Here's a book description for the City of Bones:
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder -- much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It's hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing -- not even a smear of blood -- to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary's first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It's also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace's world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know. . . .

Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare's ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

I would highly recomend this series to anyone, I simply adored them, they were the best books I'd read in ages.

I would also highly recomend Finikkin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta. It's also a fantasy themed book and it's also among my favorites.

Here's a book description for it:
Finnikin of the Rock and his guardian, Sir Topher, have not been home to their beloved Lumatere for ten years. Not since the dark days when the royal family was murdered and the kingdom put under a terrible curse. But then Finnikin is summoned to meet Evanjalin, a young woman with an incredible claim: the heir to the throne of Lumatere, Prince Balthazar, is alive.

Evanjalin is determined to return home and she is the only one who can lead them to the heir. As they journey together, Finnikin is affected by her arrogance . . . and her hope. He begins to believe he will see his childhood friend, Prince Balthazar, again. And that their cursed people will be able to enter Lumatere and be reunited with those trapped inside. He even believes he will find his imprisoned father.

But Evanjalin is not what she seems. And the truth will test not only Finnikin's faith in her . . . but in himself.

I thouroughly enjoyed Finikkin of the Rock it was something very different and it was well written and often sad and moving.
Hope this helps.

I am sorry for you loss. Ask the tattoo artist that will be doing your tattoo. I am sure they can draw you up a design. I will be having a tattoo artist draw up a teddy bear for the loss of my daughter.
Also try googling free tattoo designs. I have tried that and found many websites.

I personally don't like tattoos on girls. But I do love it on men. I think I'm a little traumatized by it, because when I want to Italy I met this guys telling me that tattoos make women look cheap. What do you think?

Answer
i don't like when they're covered in it, unless they're a tattoo artist, since it's pretty much their passion.

if the tattoo means something to that person i think it's fine. i don't like tattoos that are thought up at the last minute or tattoos that are drawn just because their friends have it, or it makes them look tough and whatnot.

Oh i've seen so many funny, dumb and unnecessary tattoos!

i think the funniest one was when i saw an eldery woman (80-85) , with a tattoo that said 'forever young' with hearts around it, on her arm. it was pretty ironic.

and online i saw a lady who got a website name tattoo on her forehead. she got paid $10,000! and she did it so she could get her kids through school.. haha!

I thought of tarot cards too and Temperance would be a good one. It's a picture of a woman pouring liquid out of one chalice and into another one. Google it and see if anything resonates with you. Good Luck with your tat! i'm sure where ever you decide to get it it'll look great!

Do you think tattoos make a women look bad or good?

love

I just got a very small tattoo on my foot I want to get a bigger one somewhere u can see it but I don't know I'm not so sure yet of what to do? Do tattoos make girls look good or bad??

Answer
It all depends on the quality of the tattoo. Tattoos that are well done are always better than cheap ones that look like it was drawn on by a five-year-old. Go on, get some more tattoos if you want. Your body is a canvas and it's up to you to "paint" it.

Unless you have a crappy tattoo, there's no reason for you to feel ashamed of flaunting your tattoos. So make sure you go to a reputable tattoo parlor and look at their recent tattoo work.

Judaism does not permit tattooing, but some body piercing is permitted (e.g., ears). I am not aware of the Jewish position on piercing the belly button.

King James Version Bible

2 John Chapter 1

3. Grace be with you, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Leviticus Chapter 21

20. IDOLATRY, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

30. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.

31. And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment GREATER THAN THESE.

If I loose a significant amount of weight will my tattoo stretch?

Cybernetic

I'm thinking about getting a bicep tattoo, the only thing is that I gain and loose weight a lot and was worried it could distort the tatt. Does anyone have any experience in the field? What about an inner forearm tatt, my second choice.

Answer
Well weight gain/loss in a slow gradual way won't affect your tattoo too much as long as you don't get obese. However, If you gain/lose a lot really quickly, like within a 2-4 months, it can affect your tattoos.

Pregnancy is a good example. If a woman has tattoos on her stomach area and gets pregnant the skin stretches really quick (for skin anyway) and stretch marks will ruin tattoos. You can't really fix tattoos that were distorted by stretch marks.

However, you can tattoo over stretch marks and it won't affect the tattoo, but stretch marks after you get the tattoo isn't good.

But on thing to not with yours it that you are getting it on your forearm. Really unless you get really heavy your forearms aren't going to be affected that much. They might get a little chunkier but not enough to hurt your tattoo.

Answer
Girl, I do not like tattoos especially on girls. I think this fad will fade faster than the tattoos themselves. Have you ever seen a tattoo on a 65 year old man? The tattoo darkens and the skin wrinkles. The tattoos starts to look like a patch of skin cancer or something. I was reading a blog on MSN, and the writer had a tattoo put on the small of her back to be different from evey other girl, but the tramp stamp (her words) became popular and every tramp had one which tossed her right into the crowd she didn't want to be associated. I recently heard a study of those who are having tattoos removed, women are the ones who are having these procedures. My advice is to think very hard because having a tattoo applied is easier than to remove one. In addition, the skin may never heal properly. God made you perfect, so why mess with perfection. God bless.

If it has a special meaning to you, then I would be interested and think it's cool. I wouldn't get a tattoo myself but I can respect people who do. Big ones can be distracting so I think the small size is a good idea. It sounds cool!

Does a scrotum tattoo cause permanent damage to sperm production?

tattoos for girls with names on For everyone else, I proceed with my overview:
tattoos for girls with names image

Jay S.

I lost a bet and have to have two girls names tattooed on either side of my balls. I have heard it doesn't hurt that much, however I was wondering if the tattoo causes long term damage to sperm production or damage to the testes themselves? Please list your sources (preferably a website, not wiki)

Answer
Don't take this the wrong way, but it is a little odd to ask for specific, (implicitly) highly verifiable information websites on such an unusual query, especially since it's due to losing a bet.

If you're looking for that, I wish you luck. I can't imagine anyone studying this. I can hypothesize, however.

Plenty of people in a time of war have suffered damage to their groin and been able to father children. A tattoo hardly counts as an injury; it's only slightly worse than a sunburn and arguably less. The tissue damage is confined to the epidermis & dermis, where'd you want it kept to minimize issues. The ink itself could possibly be a problem but is improbable; an allergy is the most likely, and still rare, possibility. You'd have to have a pretty extreme reaction in an already unlikely situation to have to worry.

You could also do bad aftercare, but I'm assuming it's the process you're curious about.

I suppose if you get a non-professional to do this, there are the usual concerns of cleanliness, but if you're planning that worries of testicular damage are rather out sync with other dangers.

For the record, I do know one professional who's done this. I was a little surprised since the person in question talked about other areas she wouldn't do. The artist spoke of no dangers, but without anyone to ask and query it's technically the opinion of just one person, albeit a professional.

Rose

ok so me and my bf have been dating for 2 years. he wants to get a tattoo on his chest. now im not against tattoos i have one myself on wrist of a gemini symbol and am looking to get a small chinese year of the dog symbol on the back of my neck. he had mentioned before how he wants to get a yin yang on his shoulder, i told him i thought it would be sexy and am still 100% by his side for him to get a tat on his shoulder. lately he's told me he wants to get a tattoo of an S *his middle initial* on his chest on his left pec. *he has no tattoos atm btw* for whatever reason i have always 99% of the time disliked tattoos on the chest area, i dont know why. i think a small one on a womans breast looks great but on some men i just dont really them. and he wants a fairly large bold S on his chest and i just really dont want him to. i think it would be quite ugly. if he got it on his back i still think it would be sexy. but i just think the idea of him having a tattoo on his chest is a horrid idea. i dont know what to do i love him to death but i just really cant like the idea of him having a tattoo on his chest ;~;
*correction im ok with some breast tattoos on women if they are fairly classy and not gaudy. i dont think all breast tattoos are great.

Answer
Remind him about the differences in aging between the two areas. If he gets fat or doesn't maintain his muscle mass (assuming he may have pecs... which ultimately help to make chest tattoos look better, since I do also agree that they can be trashy) his chest will change shape, stretch, and ruin the tattoo more easily than a bonier area, such as his upper back.

Most people don't think about how drastically the location of their tattoo can affect its aging process, generally because people want to believe that they will maintain their body and that the location will have little affect. - Either that or because they don't want to accept the fact that a tattoo can look pristine today and end up looking dull, faded, stretched and wrinkled.

Sometimes people genuinely don't care how it will look later, because "all of me will look bad" (not necessarily true, but still). In this case, I would inquire as to why his middle name is so important to him, and why it has to be so flashy.

Also, how long has he wanted this tattoo? And how long did he want the yin-yang? If he gave up the yin-yang before more than a few months were up, you should remind him that this idea may be the same sort of temporary want.

Do you have tattoos you regret?

srilookatm

A way back while loaded I got a tattoo of the yin yang on my neck. In the seventies I got the Raisin Bran Sun on my left butt cheek but that never bothered me. This one is out there constantly for the world to see. Some mornings when I get up to shave and look in the mirror I just wish it would go away. Many of my friends like it and say it suits me cause I was l always somewhat of an outlaw mystic weird one.

I suppose I could start wearing scarves all the time but then women would start asking my opinion about their hair, or clothing suggestions, or interior design for their living rooms.

Do you regret getting tattooed?

Not really.

I've been around heavily tattooed people and in tattoo shops since I was a little kid. I always thought I'd get one as soon as I turned 18 but I'm going on 20 and I'm the only one among my friends who doesn't have one! What would you do if your child came home from college with a tattoo?

Answer
I think the question you really want an answer to is, What will your parents do? People on Yahoo can't answer that question. You can usually get an idea to that answer by feeling your parents out in a conversation. Casually, tell them about a friend, who recently got a tatoo, that you think looks cool and see what they say. Or go with somebody, that you heard is getting a tatoo and tell your parents about the experience, as a passing story. Sort of work it into the conversation smoothly. They will probably ask you if you are thinking about getting a tatoo and you can Say, "maybe, someday, I've thought about it". Their reaction will tell you what they will do, before you actually get the tatoo. Both of my older kids got tatoos. I'm not real happy about their decisions, but I never gave them a hard time about it. The only reason it bothered me, was the fact that they got them in places where it's hard to cover up (forearms for my son and upper back for my daughter). You have to think about your future and how your artwork will look during an interview. Tatoos on the neck, hands and lower arms, aren't the greatest places for professionals to have. For a woman the upper back isn't always the greatest if they have to wear a nice dress for some function. When you are young, you don't usually think of yourself as having a job where you have to look really sharp and professional. Maybe you will never have a job like that, but you should always look your best in a job interview, even if the job doesn't require much contact with the public. It doesn't mean your tatoos will keep you from getting a good job, but why affect your chances when you can get tatoos in so many places. You don't have to break certain lines, such as the collar line or the short sleeve shirt line. These are things that parents think about. My younger son will want one some day. I tell him to wear a short sleeve dress shirt or a nice polo shirt to the tatoo place. When they apply the stencil transfer, you can see if the tatoo will stick out, then you can get it somewhere else. That's all I ask. He understands this. His half brother regrets his tatoo that goes up to the back of his neck. He can tell when he goes to interviews, that people keep looking at it. I'm glad my younger boy understands this fact.

Are there meanings for places you put tattoos?

I'm thinking about getting some tattoos.... I want to put an awareness ribbon on my body for every illness I have or someone I love has suffered from. So far I have about ten that I want placed, but I don't want to put them in random places, I want them in places that represent something and that's what I'm wondering.... Are there meanings for places you put tattoos?

Answer
Chest
A tattoo that is placed on the chest is often a symbol of love and affection, since the image is drawn close to the person's heart. Individuals may choose to inscribe the names of their children or a loved one who has passed away on their chests. The chest is also a part of the body that is not often exposed, so a tattoo with a romantic meaning can be applied to the chest, so that only the person with the tattoo and the significant other can see it.

Finger
Small tattoos can be inscribed on the middle finger, since this finger was previously believed to have a blood vessel that was directly connected to the heart. Some people also choose to get tattoos around their left hand ring finger, where a wedding ring is traditionally placed. The tattoo serves as a permanent symbol of the bond between husband and wife and can be worn alone or with the wedding ring.

Forearm
In recent years, forearm tattoos were a growing trend with men, but several women have decided to get body art on this part of the body as well. The forearm is said to represent toughness or strength, and many people get a forearm tattoo to bring attention to their well-toned muscles. The tattoo also serves as motivation to keep this part of the body looking its best.

Neck
A tattoo on the neck usually means that someone is risky or daring and tends to make bold choices. After all, the neck is an area that will almost always be exposed, no matter what type of clothing the person has on, and this area of the body is particularly painful for tattoo placement. The images used for a neck tattoo vary based on the person's preferences and can include symbols like hearts or flowers or the name of a loved one.

Back
A back tattoo could give the impression that a person is mysterious or somewhat shy. Back tattoos are not generally visible unless a person is wearing particularly revealing clothing. And, depending on where the tattoo is placed on the back, small glimpses of the image may be seen when a person stretches or bends over. Some people also choose to get tattoo on their backs at the ending of phases in their lives or relationships to symbolize that they have put these parts of their lives behind them.

Looking for a tattoo to support my wife beating breast cancer.?

michaelcs2

I am contemplating getting a tat to support my wife as she has recently defeated breast cancer.I am looking for good, imaginative suggestions. Thanks.

Answer
I would go with something that focuses not so much on the bad thing that has been overcome, but more on the good thing that has been achieved. Something to symbolize strength, beauty and life.

A tribal sun is what comes to my mind first.

If you really want to get that cancer ribbon, you could include it inside the sun design.

Normally I think the tribal sun looks best on shoulder or upper arm for men, or lower back on women. In this case the chest area seems to make more sense to give it a closer connection to breast cancer.

If you saw a girl that had a tattoo that said "Even in death may you be triumphant"... What would you think of that? Does it sound religious, nerdy, weird, military-like? What does it make you think of? And is it cool?

Thanks guiseeee!
At least tell me why you like or dislike it.

Answer
It might look better in french (sounds like a french saying).
I would look at other french sayings, something equivalent to "loyalty 'till death".

Is a woman in Judaism permitted to pierce her belly button for adornment purposes?

Judaism does not permit tattooing, but some body piercing is permitted (e.g., ears). I am not aware of the Jewish position on piercing the belly button.

How painful is a tattoo on your forehead?

tattoos for women chest on Women and Tattoos ~ Damn Cool Pictures

Sean

Don't give me a speech or preach about tattoo on my forehead I want it a little above the between of my eyes a simple stick cross. How painful would this be?

Answer
I answer these questions related to pain in the same way every time.

The pain in different places differs from person to person, pain threshold does have a lot of input but, for example, my chest tattoo didn't hurt at all, where as some people I know said their chest tattoo hurt a lot!

Anyway, here's a basic pain level chart I always reffer people to.

Pain level 1
These include the upper arm, forearm, calf, Bum, and Thigh. For a 1st tattoo these are great points to begin your inked journey.

Pain level 2
These include the centre back, front / side of thighs and shoulders. This is also not too bad a start for your first tattoo. The shoulders and central back region can be area that require quite a lot of movement. The skin on these areas is much looser meaning it takes longer to tattoo and also longer to heal. On areas that have lots of movement such as these, require more care once a tattoo is completed. Due to the thigh area being quite a dense muscle mass and also quite tight skin, it may tend to bruise the day after.

Pain level 3
These include the knees, elbows, hands, head, neck, feet, chest and back of thighs. Beginners beware of starting at these areas. You would need to be determined to have tattoos here as the high sensitivity would require a lot of mental focus to get you through. The poor quality of skin on both the knees and elbows will result in a very slow tattoo process and nerves are very close to the surface in these areas. This could result in the tattooing being unbearable for any length of time for some people. As with the orange areas these tend to be high movement areas and will require a longer healing timescale. You may find that to achieve a good solid colour, you may have to repeat the tattoo process on these areas. As a side note the chest area on men can be much more sensitive to pain than a woman, yet due to the tighter skin on a male, the tattoo can be completed quicker.

Pain level 4 (OWCHIE!)
Areas include hips, ribcage, stomach, back of knees, armpit, inside of elbow, nipples, lips, inside of thighs and genitals. Are you really sure you want to get that tattoo? As these areas can elicit crying, half finished tattoos or even the customer passing out. This could just be more than you may be able to handle. All of these purple areas are considered by most to be the most painful areas to be tattooed. The stretchy or thin skin over bone are slow to tattoo, some of these may require multiple sessions to achieve solid colour and smooth shading. Healing can be just as painful as receiving the tattoo and may require a few days off from your regular activities.

SOME USEFUL TIPS WHEN GETTING A TATTOO:

â¢Women are your more sensitive the week prior to and during your cycle. Plan around those dates to have the best experience possible when getting your tattoo.
â¢Use lotion everyday on the area to be tattooed at least 1 week prior for healthier skin and better results.
â¢Do not go out in the sun at least one week prior to being tattooed (including tanning beds) This drys the skin and if peeling occurs could damage the tattoo.
â¢Consider what you will wear for 2 weeks while healing if your tattoo is in an area like the foot, waist, shoulders or chest. Shoes, waistbands, belts, underwear, and bras can all damage tattoos if you do not plan ahead. Find comfortable clothing that will not touch or rub during this time.
â¢Always eat a good meal before being tattooed and drink plenty of fluids.
â¢Be sure to get a good nights rest before your appointment.
â¢Ask what kind of aftercare products you will need when you set up to get your tattoo.
â¢Mention any allergies you may have, pigments, dyes, perfumes.
â¢Some medication may thin your blood, check with your doctor before being tattooed.
â¢Anyone with an autoimmune disorder needs to check with their doctor and should bring a note to be tattooed.

What never

Just seeing what the preferences are. Tattooed and non-tattooed weigh in. Do you have a preference?

Answer
I love my girlfriend to death and I wouldn't trade her for the world. Buuuut she has no tattoos, and I find tattoos on a woman to be a major turn on (especially a shoulder piece or half sleeve or a rib piece) but I guess obviously I don't need a woman with a tattoo(s). She said her getting a tattoo would be like putting a bumper sticker on a Ferrari lol.

What is your opinion on tattoos and piercings on a woman?

What are some key signs that an older guy likes you?

Lisa

I like this guy, and I'm trying to figure out if he might like me too. Btw, he is 3 years older. What are some signs a guy likes you, or things guys do if they like you? Thanks!

Answer
1

Watch his behavior. Men in love are probably easier to read than women because they don't spend hours dissecting the relationship with their buddies. A man in love, out of force of habit, will do things to show he cares: pull wildflowers from a meadow in Yosemite, get a tattoo with your name on it, buy your favorite frozen yogurt (extra points for bringing it to you when you didn't ask for it) and spending time with your family.
2

Pay attention to his body language and facial expressions. If he is scrunched over and scowling, looks bored, is constantly checking his cell phone or similarly distracted or showing annoyed mannerisms, then you know he's not in love. You don't really need someone to tell you that.

A man in love should be engaged with you, stare deeply into your eyes (unless he's shy, in which case he will look away, but still be engaged with you), touch you lightly on the arm, shoulder or hair and smile when you smile. A man in love feels your rhythm and mirrors it.
3

Test the waters. It's always best to let the guy tell you he loves you first, but you can gauge his level of interest with comments that question his future interest. If you can't get him to commit to a party you're having a month from now, that's a very bad sign. But if he's already asking if you like to snow ski, and you just met in the late spring, this is a keeper.
4

Feel his touch. A man in love will touch a woman's face, cradle her chin in his hands or brush a hair from her eye. A man just out for a romp in the sack won't indulge in tender touches such as these, especially out of the bedroom. If he has to at least hold your hand or fingertip in public, he loves you.
5

Listen to your heart. You'll know if he loves you. The hardest job we have in life is probably letting go of someone who does not love us. We all want to be loved so badly that we oftentimes project feelings and behaviors onto people who don't deserve our adoration. If you are suffering--calling your friends for information, running over every comment he's made or crying yourself to sleep--he does not love you.
