Do people get tattoos directly on the back of their knee?

I want my first tattoo to be on the back of my knee but I'm not sure if they even do that. I was trying to look for pictures but I couldn't find any but I really would like to see some.

my husband has a tattoo on the back of both of his knees... i have no pictures sorry. and i know this other girl who got it done there too. i think it looks ok. from my understanding it doesn't hurt as much... i got my tattoos on my ankles and upper thigh... upper thigh didn't hurt at all!!

edit: won't be able to walk all day?! that's nonsense!!!

I am a big star wars fan! While i don't know every stupid last detail of every movie like in "Fan Boys", I do like them and have alot of star wars memorabilia like the movies, lunch boxes, shirts, jewelry, phone cases, action figures, and car decals. I am also a HUGE tattoo fanatic and am planning on getting my first one here soon. While my mom isn't a big fan of tattoos or star wars, I've come to the conclusion no matter what i get she will hate it. I am indeed 18 and am a full time student and part time nanny for a family. The family is huge on star wars and super heros so they wouldnt mind the tattoo either ifthey ever found out and I am going to school to be a nurse so i will always have on scrubs and long sleeves. I want to get the Alliance starbird, the jedi order symbol, as well as the galactic republic symbols tattooed in order on either the inside of my upper arm or on my thigh. Another idea I have is getting R2D2 and C3PO, one on each arm on the inner side. I love both ideas, but i want to know, as a girl, are these stupid ideas? I think they are really cool and they show off my love for star wars and it would be a great beginning into what i can only imagine is going to be a lifelong relationship with tattoos! Give me your feedback or ideas for tattoos(:

Yeah, i'm going to say go for it too.

Every SW tat that I've seen looks phenomenal on gals. It's beyond me why you're able to pull them off so well. I'm actually pretty jealous.

But star wars tattoos on ladies is not too uncommon and typically look great. Plus, we (the fun side of the male populous) love them.

But, the droids wouldn't be my first, second, or even third choice. As much as I love the tragic tale that is R2D2, I wouldn't waste money on having either droid put on. Since it is a tattoo, i'd stick with the symbolism of the emblems.

The galactic republic symbol is just a modified Imperial insignia. But it means unification through the force.

I'd do the Rebel Starbird, seeing as how i'm in Phoenix, but since its just some other dude's family crest.. kinda turns the idea off for me.
