Where on your body is the most painful place to put a tattoo and where is the least painful?

tattoos for girls down the spine on Tattoo you, Netters - Brainiac
tattoos for girls down the spine image

I know that getting a tattoo is painful, but some areas of the body incur more pain than others. So, I was wondering where is the least painful and where is the most painful. All you tattooed persons out there, speak up!

Answer
Feel your body and you'll find the places where it's really just skin stretched over bone. Those are the most painful. The needle scratching against the bone is excrutiating. That makes the lower back at the base of the spine a very painful place. This is a very sexy, very popular place for tattoos on girls but it hurts. Anywhere down the spine is very painful as well.

Places where skin covers fat and muscle are less painful. Use your fingers and you'll find the places with the most flesh under the skin. Popular places are the arms and upper shoulders for this reason as well as the fact that they are visible and easy to display.

I've heard that under the arms, circling the torso across the ribs is very painful too.

You know the most sensitive places on your body. Just use your best judgement. When in doubt, ask the tattoo artist for advice.

Good luck on this new adventure.

How bad does a neck tattoo hurt?

Q. I am getting the chinese symbol for Destiny tattoo tonight on the back of my neck. However, I'm kinda nervous about the pain. My boyfriend recently got one on his neck and he said it didn't hurt. but then our friend got one on his neck and passed out but none of my girl friends have one there. I also have a tattoo on my lower back that goes up and down with my spine.

Answer
It depends on the person. My Leo insignia almost didn't hurt at all, and I have a low pain tolerance. My wrist, ankle, upper arm, and arm all hurt more. I plan to get my back done soon and will go in assuming that it will hurt slightly more than my neck.

Long story short: If you can handle the back (especially your spine), you can most likely handle the neck.

Any pregnant women with tattoos on their stomachs?

I have two large tattoos on my lower abdomen (right on top of each hip bone) and I'm really worried about how much they'll stretch. My tattoo artist told me she can re-touch them after I give birth if they "morph" (i love her choice of words) but I was just wondering how severely they will be affected. Anyone pregnant or have had babies with tattoos anywhere on their stomachs?

Answer
I had a small tattoo on my right abdomen. Not only did it grow (almost doubled in size) but I had stretch marks go right through it. I don't think they can tattoo over stretch marks, and if they can I don't even want to think about how much that would hurt. I'm not too concerned about the tattoo, though, cause my stomach will never see the light of day again :)

What happens if you got a tattoo right before I found I was pregnant?

deeb2001

Just curious what affects that could have on me or my unborn child! I went in and got a tattoo around my ankle and 2 weeks later I found out pregnant. I am currently around 6wks along.

Answer
I was 2 weeks pregnant when i got a tattoo on my lower stomach. (ofcourse i didn't know i was) my doctor said it's fine! i asked my tattto artist and he said that they will tattoo women up until 5 months along, because that's when the baby canfeel what you feel? idkif that's true or not. but i'm 33 weeks and the baby is perfectly healthy!

Getting aroused during a tattoo or piercing.. is it expected?

tattoos for women inner thigh on ... thigh tattoos designs tattoos stylish bird thigh tattoos thigh highs
tattoos for women inner thigh image

kartoonizt

Okay so I'm planning on getting either my nipples pierced or getting a tattoo on my inner thigh... my only problem is I know anyone who touches my nipples or the vibrations from the tattoo needle around that area WILL give me an erection...
Is this perceived as expected from these types of tattoos/piercings?
My other problem Is I'm a gay male also... Would it be bad If this happened with a male tattoo artist/piercer? I'd like to hear specifically from tattoo artists themselves but all answers are welcome.
I am into some light S&M so yes, I do like pain for those who think I won't get aroused. Thanks for all your answers!

Answer
It happens sometimes. As long as you handle it properly, it's not an issue, we're fairly used to that sort of thing. When I say 'handle it properly' I mean, don't just whip it out and start pleasuring yourself (I really have to say that, it's happened to a lot of artists before!)

It's not expected, but it's not unexpected either. If your artist is professional, your sexual orientation or the gender of your artist should not matter one bit. I'm a straight woman, and I've been pierced (and done piercings on) lesbians. It's not a big deal, and I wouldn't be supprised to find out that I've pierced more lesbians than I realize (it's not on the health questionaire or anything!)

Just relax about it, and if you do happen to get excited, don't worry, your artist probably won't notice/say anything. Crack a joke about it if you need to!

Why is it that Women care more then Men?

Sctcndn

Why is it that more women care what people think about their tattoos then men do... I for one don't care what people think about my tattoos (I'm a man)... I wonldn't get them if I cared, I got them for me and not for other people to judg...

Answer
First let me say to the person who said that people get tattooed to be badass-get over it! Maybe in the 1970's...but not now, tattooing is an art form and lots of us do it because we choose to have our art on us instead of displayed on a wall. Many cultures believe it is a way to express your inner soul through your body..that is what it is to me.. To the question, I dont think that is the case. I know alot of men who are tattooed..(My man is a tattoo artist) and have issues with people who are jerks about it. Men just choose not to show it.
Women sometimes do. I, for one, am a woman who has two full sleeves, a chest piece, thigh pieces, some on my back and my hips and I have some issue with people who are assholes about it, but I dont much give a shit what people think or have to say.
It could help that I own my tattoo parlor and am a professional body piercer-but I didnt care when I was just a graduate student working a 9-5 job..I think it is just different personalities, not gender.

I want to get a couple of tattoo's, never had one before. I wanted to get some kinda design for resimble my kids then I wanted to get my boyfriends signiture, small, somewhere on me. Where should I put them, I want them as soon as possible but I can not figure out where to put them.

Any idea's for a tattoo to get for my three kids, I was thinking stars or a butterfly with three stars around it or something. Help please.

Answer
places: top of foot, inside ankle, outside ankle, behind ear, back of neck, back bottom right side....

what to get: well first off i'd stear clear from getting any names permanant on ur body.. but if ur just DEAD SET on getting something about ur bf on u then maybe go for a symbol or animal or something along those lines.
EX) my cuz wantd something of her bf on her and we talkd her out of doing a name (thank goodness) and she went with a bear claw and used the middle of the claw as a CD...because his nickname since childhood is bear and hes a dj. and they broke up!! (not saying that is going to happn 2u) and now she atleast has a beutiful design on her body rather than a name she'd be ashamed of!!!

and for your three kids...hmm...stars?? well evn though they are popular now...are they still going to b as popular in 10-15yrs?? butterflies?? overly popular...try to think of something original... what do ur kids like? what are their names? their fav flowers?? what about three different flowers intertwined at the stem?? just keep searching for something and try to make it original as possible...wouldnt u want something permanantly on ur body to be meaningful rather than popularly cute??

anyways GOODLUCK with everything!!!!!!!!

What are some ideas of goods/services to sell for a small business at my school?

Melissa

What are some ideas of goods/services to sell for a small business at my school?
This is for a project in economics class. We have to come up with a business and it can't be selling food. By the way, it's an all-girls school and in past years there has been jewelry, picture frames, flip-flops, t-shirts...

Answer
Maybe I can help you. I own a company myself, but I have a friend that owns a sun glass Kiosk at a mall that makes a killing. First, figure out your target market. In your case, its an all girls school between the ages of 15-19. Then have a brainstorming session where you find out what type of products attract girls at this age groups. Maybe it can be jewelry, sunglasses, makeup, purses, underwear, nail polish, toe rings, ear rings, stick on tattoos, etc. You have to have niche. Pick your top two products. The products have to be something that has a price point that can sell. Maybe $5-$10 because high school girls dont have alot of disposable income. Your product has to be an impulse buy, where girls dont really think about buying, they just have to have it. Once you figure out the product you want to sell, do a survey around school to see if there is a market for it. This is called supply and demand. Go to the mall and look at all the kiosk carts that sells cheap impulse products. Look for something that is "hot", easy to sell and sought after. Goodluck

Where do you like to see them? Big or Small? Sleeves?

Ohh...and (for anyone, cause I know the girls are looking too ;) ):
How do I change the layout on my myspace page? I finally cracked and got a myspace page, now I just need it to look good.
ebest2000, not all the tattoo artists are greasy biker guys. LOL. It's just a stereotype. I have two main artists. One is a women, and awesome. But for my next tattoo, her style wouldn't have been quite right, I was looking for a harder look for the dragon that will go on my hip and my boyfriend directed me to his tattoo artist who is a really cool guy (married) just runnin his own business and doin his own thing.

Answer
Okay first of all I never used to like tattoo's on girls, but I have come to appreciate them. The most important thing is that the tattoo should be like a beauty mark - noticeable, dainty, placed somewhere that will be complimented by lots of bare skin. Numerous tattoos clothes together where blank skin is hard to see gets over kill.

My bigest problem however with tattoos in general is people who get tribal symbols, words in different languages or text. It is okay to get a Japanese word or symbol for example if you are Japanese, but I mostly see people with these tribal markings and symbols that needed a translater to get it put there. How is that part of you if you are caucasian and you have egyptain letters on you. SO LAME!

Guys/Girls- what do you think of this-pic included?

Rachel

If you saw a women wearing this tattoo, what would you think?
I really like the look of it-im thin too, and 18 years old, i would probably change the flowers colors to a pinkish red more but what are your opinions guys/girls?

do you think its too big of a tattoo, not very "femanine" not attractive?
I just don't know how it will look when i get older even though I would take care of it.
Thanks!

Answer
Its pretty and if you like it you should get it, ur the one that has to see it everyday. But if it were me i wouldn't get it. its kinda big and if u get pregnant itl get all messed up cuz ur skin gets stretched out but its still up to you. and i don't think its feminine at all but maybe if u get a small one like this itl be cute :)

Nate

I love to be around them and would love to date one too. I really like those with the nose piercing but not to crazy about the ones with the tattoos covering their entire body. The problem I have however I have heard that they us drugs and smoke and drink etc. also forgive me if I offend anyone they worship the devil. These are things I have heard. So I am a Christian and love these kind of women they seem so interesting but should I if the rumors are true?

Answer
I'm considered a bit 'emo' in a way. I have the piercings and hair and clothes and music, but i most definately do not worship the devil, and i don't know a single person who does! these are just rumours and there is no real truth in them!

And as for the drinking and smoking and drugs etc, i can tell you now i do none of them. Obviously i'll have a drink if i go out, but doesn't everyone? Its nothing extreme and probably just once every few months.

Goth and emo is a style, not a lifestyle. Its music taste, clothes and hair styles, not what you do with your time. There are plenty of religious goth and emo girls out there.

What is your opinion about tattoos? Particularly on women?

Q. Guys and girls--I am wondering what you think about tattoos on women. Do you like them? Hate them? Does it matter where it is, how big it is, whether it is meaningful or just for fun? Are you religious and if so, do tattoos bother you?

I am considering getting a very small one on my hipbone, so I am curious.

Answer
I am a tattoo artist and I also have several very large tattoos myself so I obviously LOVE THEM. I don't care what people think of my tattoos. I did not do them for other people I did them for me. As far as being religious. I really don't think it matters much. I have tattooed Catholics, Baptists,Pagan,Satanists,Atheists, Buddhists,Roman Catholics,Christians, Wiccans, Muslim's, you name the religion and I will show you a follower with tattoos.

How many tattoos are too many on a girl? Should i get another one?

Q. I already have a tattoo of a floral vine that wraps up my foot and behind my ankle and one on my bikini line of a tribal butterfly. SInce they are addictive im thinking of getting a 3rd one on the back of my neck below the hairline. BUT i don't want to be the"tattoo girl". At what point do they go from being tasteful to unattractive?

Answer
At what point do they go from being tasteful to unattractive? It all depends on the types of tattoos and the confidence of the person. I remember seeing two girls one day both with full arm tattoos. The first girl I saw in the morning had a full sleeve and swallows on each shoulder (tank top shirt). The way she carried herself and the beautiful coloring of all her tattoos made it look AMAZING!! Meanwhile the girl I saw in the afternoon also had a full sleeve, but her tattoo was a weird naked woman with poems written out on her arm, she noticed I kept staring at her arm and told me not to read her arms (my expression was ??). So to recap my little tale, get as MANY and as COLORFUL as long as you are confident and proud of them all.

Will my tattoos prevent me from finding a steady girlfriend in Korea?

Armquest

I have one foot completely covered and one half sleeve, shoulder and a full back tattoo. Generally speaking is this too taboo? Will a westerner with all these tattoos, have a hard time finding a steady girlfriend in Korea?

Answer
Korea's attitude toward tattoos is gradually changing. Tattoos are considered to be markings of an asian mafia membership (such as Yakuza or Chinese Triads). Most Koreans will understand that you are not in a mafia but they still may be reluctant to get too close to you personally because of the cultural attitudes towards tattoos. While you are here, do as much to cover the tattoos as possible. I know this advice sounds harsh, but it will keep you from being ostracized. A Korean girl will need to be slowly eased into the fact that you have tattoos because it will be a major culture shock to her. Hiding your tattoos is also important because they will attract the wrong kind of Korean women, the ones who hop from western guy to western guy seeking material pleasures. There are many attractive western girls here also that are completely okay with tattoos.

Yes, I know Goldwell Elumen is a professional Salon hair color product. But some of us can't afford to go to salon's but you can buy these products online so I thought I'd give it a try. I will also try it on one hair strand before doing it on all of my hair of course.

Problem is though, I can't seem to find a guide on how to color with these colors anywhere. I've only heard that if you mix it with water it gets totally ruined. Anyone who can help this girl with ugly boring hair? The color I was thinking of was their PK@all, the super pink one.

What can you tell about a woman who wears a flower tattoo on her upper right shoulder blade ?

tattoos for women magazine on Unique Tattoos on Tattoo Quotes Archives Tattoo Designs
tattoos for women magazine image

Terry

O.K. I recently had a falling out with a woman who always refered to me as her best friend. I caught her in tons of lies during our ,so-called, friendship and the rest of the time she just baffled me with her evasive personality and quirks. She had the most amazing flower tattoo (I think it was supposed to be an Iris or Orchid ) on her upper right shoulder blade.
I see in various magazines that alot of attention has been given to tattoos ,their art and body location and what they can tell about the person.
Any one have some thoughts on what I didn't know about my ex friend based on her tattoo ??
By the way I'm still crazy ,mad in love with her. I suppose my tattoo should be "Fool 4 love" across my forehead.

Answer
It means she likes flowers. And tattoos. Ta-da!!! Magic.

Do tattoo magazines except photos from anyone?

Elena

I just did a pin up/ tattoo type photoshoot. I am wondering if it would be weird to send a few 8X10s to tattoo magazines, and ask if they would be interested in using my photo. I've never done this before and just wanted some background info.

Answer
No. And don't send anything before asking. Not weird, but your work could end up in the trash.
I'd suggest you e mail or write them to ask if they accept photos from readers. Some do, most don't. You also need to write up a contract as to how your photos will be used, as well as a model release for the woman who posed for you.

Ideas for a girl ankle tattoo or lower back?

tattoos for women cherry blossom image

Keatra

Some of my ideas are cherry blossoms, chinese or japenese symbol, some kind of heart or koi fish.

Answer
There are lots of ideas, but if this girl who is looking for ideas is you, I think you should figure it out for yourself. Nobody should make the decision for you. It's a very big commitment, a tattoo, and you alone should be responsible for where it goes. I don't mean to sound bossy and high and mighty, but so many people get tattoos in places they wouldn't normally just because of a suggestion from a friend or even worse a stranger. This is why so many women got tattoos on their lower backs in mass numbers years ago.

what is something that symbolized masculine?

misty

For my tattoo that I will be getting I am going to but a cherry blossom tree on my right side. on and around it will be the birth and death dates the important females in my life. on my left side I want to get some to do the same but that represents the guys that are important to me. Is there any type of tree that represents masculine? Or is there anything other ideas you have.. ? thank you for your time:)

Misty, why on earth would you want to scar up your beautiful body? One thing to remember hon, you will be stuck with that stuff forever. Depending where you put it all it will probably show when you are dressed up and want to look really nice. PLUS, when you are an older woman things tend to shift with the gravity of time and could look a lot different then! You want to remember someone? Do it in your heart and mind.

I personally don't like tattoos on girls. But I do love it on men. I think I'm a little traumatized by it, because when I want to Italy I met this guys telling me that tattoos make women look cheap. What do you think?

Answer
i don't like when they're covered in it, unless they're a tattoo artist, since it's pretty much their passion.

if the tattoo means something to that person i think it's fine. i don't like tattoos that are thought up at the last minute or tattoos that are drawn just because their friends have it, or it makes them look tough and whatnot.

Why do so many NBA players these days have RIDICULOUS tattoos?

STRAUSSIAN

I don't mean regular tattoos - I mean absurd, dumb-looking ink-spews all over their arms and torsos.

Why do they have such ridiculous garbage printed on their skin?

Seriously; do NBA players just hand a tattoo gun to someone's retarded cousin and tell him to go for it?

How did this happen?

Answer
It's a long story, but my concise answer is because society has encouraged the freaks to come out of hiding. Now, what normal people have traditionally viewed as freakish behavior has permeated society and tattoo's are the hot ticket nowadays.

A meaningful, well-placed one is fine, but it's really gotten out of hand. The artwork is interesting, but not on people. And that doesn't include the haphazardly placed tat's and those whom disfigure themselves.

The worst thing I witnessed happened on the Atlantic City boardwalk a few years ago. It was actually at the end of Steel Pier where I saw a family allowing a barely teenaged girl to get a faux tramp stamp.

I'm planning on getting a black tattoo, about 2x1 inches, on the inside of my wrist, but I have a really low tolerance for pain. How bad would this hurt?

Answer
I answer these questions related to pain in the same way every time.

The pain in different places differs from person to person, pain threshold does have a lot of input but, for example, my chest tattoo didn't hurt at all, where as some people I know said their chest tattoo hurt a lot!

Anyway, here's a basic pain level chart I always reffer people to.

Pain level 1
These include the upper arm, forearm, calf, Bum, and Thigh. For a 1st tattoo these are great points to begin your inked journey.

Pain level 2
These include the centre back, front / side of thighs and shoulders. This is also not too bad a start for your first tattoo. The shoulders and central back region can be area that require quite a lot of movement. The skin on these areas is much looser meaning it takes longer to tattoo and also longer to heal. On areas that have lots of movement such as these, require more care once a tattoo is completed. Due to the thigh area being quite a dense muscle mass and also quite tight skin, it may tend to bruise the day after.

Pain level 3
These include the knees, elbows, hands, head, neck, feet, chest and back of thighs. Beginners beware of starting at these areas. You would need to be determined to have tattoos here as the high sensitivity would require a lot of mental focus to get you through. The poor quality of skin on both the knees and elbows will result in a very slow tattoo process and nerves are very close to the surface in these areas. This could result in the tattooing being unbearable for any length of time for some people. As with the orange areas these tend to be high movement areas and will require a longer healing timescale. You may find that to achieve a good solid colour, you may have to repeat the tattoo process on these areas. As a side note the chest area on men can be much more sensitive to pain than a woman, yet due to the tighter skin on a male, the tattoo can be completed quicker.

Pain level 4 (OWCHIE!)
Areas include hips, ribcage, stomach, back of knees, armpit, inside of elbow, nipples, lips, inside of thighs and genitals. Are you really sure you want to get that tattoo? As these areas can elicit crying, half finished tattoos or even the customer passing out. This could just be more than you may be able to handle. All of these purple areas are considered by most to be the most painful areas to be tattooed. The stretchy or thin skin over bone are slow to tattoo, some of these may require multiple sessions to achieve solid colour and smooth shading. Healing can be just as painful as receiving the tattoo and may require a few days off from your regular activities.

SOME USEFUL TIPS WHEN GETTING A TATTOO:

â¢Women are your more sensitive the week prior to and during your cycle. Plan around those dates to have the best experience possible when getting your tattoo.
â¢Use lotion everyday on the area to be tattooed at least 1 week prior for healthier skin and better results.
â¢Do not go out in the sun at least one week prior to being tattooed (including tanning beds) This drys the skin and if peeling occurs could damage the tattoo.
â¢Consider what you will wear for 2 weeks while healing if your tattoo is in an area like the foot, waist, shoulders or chest. Shoes, waistbands, belts, underwear, and bras can all damage tattoos if you do not plan ahead. Find comfortable clothing that will not touch or rub during this time.
â¢Always eat a good meal before being tattooed and drink plenty of fluids.
â¢Be sure to get a good nights rest before your appointment.
â¢Ask what kind of aftercare products you will need when you set up to get your tattoo.
â¢Mention any allergies you may have, pigments, dyes, perfumes.
â¢Some medication may thin your blood, check with your doctor before being tattooed.
â¢Anyone with an autoimmune disorder needs to check with their doctor and should bring a note to be tattooed.

What is the advantage and disadvantage of having your eyebrows tattooed?

tattoos for girls tribal on Picture: http://www.justtattoo.net/cross-tattoo-16.html and http://www ...
tattoos for girls tribal image

If you are a pretty girl would you consider it?

Answer
I donât have tattooed eyebrows, but three small hoop rings on one side. I like them and it doesnât look too bad. I didnât find out until after I had done my own peircings that there is a nerve up there that if hit, can paralyze the whole side of your face, hmmmm. Guess I got lucky there.
We worked at a mill in an isolated location in British Columbia and there was a young couple that got on there for a while too. They had spent time in Africa and she had tribal tattoos on her face. She was and is a very pretty young woman, but I thought then and still do that they looked rather cool.
These days a lot of people are getting tattoos of Japanese symbols, that depending on who sees them may result in some not so good misunderstandings. Be aware of what you are getting and know some of the culture behind it before you get the tattoo. Itâs easy enough to get a cover up, but on the face, I donât think so. I am considering one on the face, but I have considered the same tattoo a few years now, so it is a big decision for me. I already have six tattoos, but none on my face (yet). Here is a site that might be of some help in making your decision as regards to facial tattooing.
TattooMeNow.com<support@tattoomenow.com>
So, in light of the above;
It does not ruin a beautiful face when done right Be prepared to live with it the rest of your life It definitely does add character to a personâs face, but not all peopleâs faces. Be careful of what symbols etc. that you do get as sometimes they can have different meanings; depending on who sees them.

What do you think of a tattoo on the lower back of a guy?

D S

Ok, firstly let me just state that this tattoo in no way resembles one of those 'tramp stamps' girls get with a tribal design and flowers etc... Its a banner with the edges slightyly curving upwards (away from the ass) and text inside. Now 1 thing id like to say...i think the lower back on a guy is a completely different spot than the lower back of a girl. i plsn to get it not just above my crack but on my lower back.

any comments? just curios?

Answer
I think its fine, your body your tattoo. Bah to what other people think, tattoos still have quite the social stigma so either way you're gonna get nasty comments from some people.

I've seen a couple nice tattoos on the lower area of a guys back. I think your idea is lovely and hopefully you will be very happy with it after you have it done.

How do young Japanese (in Tokyo) feel about tattoos?

tattoos for girls koi fish on Latest Koi Fish Tattoo Designs For Girls Koi Fish Tattoo Designs-4
tattoos for girls koi fish image

willnyu198

I have the back of both of my legs covered. One tattoo is a Japanese design, a koi fish turning into a dragon, which is big and the other is Atlas, holding a globe. I'm a 24 year old white guy from California, so I'm obviously not a Yakuza, but still understand the taboo in Japan. What is the general opinion of the Japan's younger generation (25 and under) towards tattoos? I know overall they are still looked upon negatively, but it seems like younger people are more open and accepting. I want to live there eventually, but don't know if it will cause me problems. Since they are in an area that's easy to cover, I don't think it will be a huge issue, but I'm still concerned. I'm a corporate, business type, so I always dress nice, am very courteous and don't look like trouble. I know there are tattoo shops in Japan, so there must be a certain level of acceptance.

Answer
When Japanese Univ students, particularly girls, reached 21-23 years old (the age they graduate), they go to plastic surgery to erase their tattoo to get better job.

And small tattoo stickers are also popular in Japan.
http://www.ta2.com/tribal/
http://www.arkin.jp/

These are the reason why the absolute amount of tattooed people don't increase in Japan.

Go to establishment with your friend. I think you have no big trouble, maybe some.
But remember, when you were in Japan, the country is NOT the West. You can't judge with your American's standard.
And you should know that they don't look negatively, but they do NOT want see tattoo (do you understand this feeling?). Whether you are Yakuza or not doesn't matter.
Japanese people focus on how other people think and want in public place, rather than focusing on personal (individual) feeling. They are afraid of being a person "lack in common sense".

All the reports in English are written by westerners. Their feeling differ from Orientals. When you came to Japan, ask Japanese directly, not only younger but also elder people. They may not tell you honest feeling though.

Does anyone know any twin symbols or good pieces signs to tattoo?

Daniel

Me and my twin sister want to get twin tattoos. We're pieces but shes a girl and im not... so i want to know if anyone knows any good tattoo ideas that could work for moth her and me ? Thanks!

Answer
The astrological zodiac sign is spelled "Pisces" - I hope that's what you meant, otherwise you are both falling apart into pieces. The symbol looks like this: â so that would work well:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pisces_(astrology)

or you could get a quality tattoo artist to design a couple of fish swimming around eachother:
http://loiaconos.deviantart.com/art/Koi-Fish-Tattoo-287731648

Find out the origin of your last name (surname) and get something representing that. For example, Smith comes from blacksmith so you could both get a horseshoe, which is also a lucky symbol. Jones comes from the biblical figure of John, who is symbolized by an Eagle in Christian art, so you could both get an eagle.

Nautical Stars? Girls with lower mid-back butterflies? Kanji when you're not Japanese?

Answer
- Back tattoos on girls (it's getting to the point where every girl has something tattooed right over the crack of her butt - it looks lame and kinda slutty)

- writing in kanji, kani or simplified Chinese characters on folks who don't know how to read either Japanese or Chinese (and do they REALLY KNOW what the tattoo says? for all they know, it might say 'this guy is extremely gay' or 'this girl will sleep with anybody for $ 5 dollars and a hamburger'!!!)

What do you think of girls with tattoos on the lower back or lower hip?

Jen P

I want to get a small tattoo on the lower hip and one on my lower hip. Do you think that will look nice or tacky?
Should i just get one of it or both?

Answer
I have a small lower back tattoo. It was my first, (of 10) and to this day it hold special meaning in my heart! I see many butterflies and other kind of unoriginal tattoo's there and that personally looks bad. My tattoo is my name the way my dad wrote in on my first Birthday card. He always had my back and loved me so I got it on my lower back. Its personally up to you though... I don't think they look trashy as long as it is small and respectful!
