In Christianity, do homosexuals go to heaven?

Shoebox be

If there was a self-professed Christian homosexual that did his or her best to follow the teachings of Jesus and the bible (With the exception of homosexuality, of course), Would said homosexual still get to heaven? follow up question, can a person get to the Christian heaven by works alone?

Answer
Well in the same book, men are not supposed to wear women's clothing - which at the time was trousers. They were supposed not to mix their fabric - so anyone wearing polly-cotton is up the creek. Not have tattoos, eat shell fish & had a specific way to sacrifice their animals.

So if Homosexuals are destined to hell, then there's a lot of other people heading there as well..

& FTR I'm as straight as they come.

Serious tattoo advice needed...?

kayla_neop

So here are my ideas:
-"The things we love the most, destroy us the fastest" with a rose
-A tiger
-"I have the heart of a man, not a woman, and I am afraid of nothing."
-"Do not tell secrets to those whose faith and silence you have not already tested."
-A phoenix
Where would you get these tattoos? How much pain in that area? How much might it cost? Also, tell me which one you like best. It's not going to affect my choice but I'm curious. This is my first tat just so you know.

Answer
I wanted a phoenix myself on my side over my ribs a few years ago but never got around to doing it. I have a small tattoo of the "Jesus fish" on my ribs now which hurt quite a bit but areas with less fat and more bone tend to be more sensitive. The cost of tattoos all depend on the size and sometimes area but a tattoo artist once told me a tattoo should be no less than $50 because of material costs. He said anything less than that is suspect. I would shop around at different tattoos parlors. Don't be afraid to ask artists a million questions and ALWAYS watch them do someone else's before they do yours.

What do you think of girls with sleeves?

down from

If I was a guy I'd definitely get them, but my friend thinks I should get them anyway.
I'm not planning on doing this any time soon though.
If you're a girl, do you have sleeves? And guys, what do you think of them on girls? Thanks.

Answer
I'm a woman & I have my right arm sleeved. I'm a professional, well educated, married... I go to work in a suit not in a bikini, my clients don't know I have tattoos. Tank tops & short sleeves are unprofessional in an office in my opinion. Tattoos aren't trashy, people are trashy. My sleeve is ME. It's not generic tribal and koi, it's completely original and actually means something to me. It's taken over 3 years to become a sleeve as I added to it over time. I don't care what anyone else thinks about it. It's mine and I love it. If you want something, do it, own it, and be you.

When will the US & Great Britain create a Country in the Middle East or South America for Jehovah Witnesses?

Five Million Often Forgotten
Jehovah Witnesses

The Holocaust is usually taught as the mass genocide of almost one million Jews in Europe during World War II. But, more than five million others were also persecuted, tortured, tattooed and killed. These five million included innocent citizens - men women and children. The survivors and the families of these five million often feel left out -- overshadowed by the Jewish casualties. Nonetheless, these people need to be recognized and memorialized. Many of these died for their race or their beliefs. Many of these died while helping their Jewish neighbors. They too deserve their place in history.

Answer
What in the world are you talking about?

This is from the 1974 Yearbook, page 212:

âBut despite the hard conditions, how those who worshiped Jehovah rejoiced! They had been privileged to prove their integrity to the Sovereign Ruler of the universe. During Hitlerâs rule 1,687 of them had lost their jobs, 284 their businesses, 735 their homes and 457 were not allowed to carry on their trade. In 129 cases their property had been confiscated, 826 pensioners had been refused their pensions and 329 others had suffered other personal loss. There were 860 children who had been taken away from their parents. In 30 cases marriages had been dissolved due to pressure by political officials, and in 108 cases divorces had been granted when requested by mates opposed to the truth. A total of 6,019 had been arrested, several two, three or even more times, so that, all together, 8,917 arrests were registered. All together they had been sentenced to serve 13,924 years and two months in prison, two and a quarter times as long as the period since Adamâs creation. A total of 2,000 brothers and sisters had been put into concentration camps, where they had spent 8,078 years and six months, an average of four years. A total of 635 had died in prison, 253 had been sentenced to death and 203 of these had actually been executed. What a record of integrity!â

Lucid

okay. I got the undercut hairstyle 2 years ago, it was cool and orginal back then and i got so much respect for getting it done. Now, in the last 3months 10 other girls in my high school have it done. I love my undercut and i dont want to part with it yet. Any ideas on how to make it look unique. And no im not willing to cut the rest of my hair short or shave the left side off. Thanks

Answer
Get a pattern shaved into it?
Dye it a different colour? (This doesn't just have to be one colour...you could do a leopard print on it or stripes or you could dye your initials on your undercut etc)
Doubt you're old enough but if you get the undercut shaved a lot you could get a tattoo in that area? With a little hair over it you'd still be able to make it out.
Get a new hairstyle altogether?

Why do so many people say a tattoo on a woman has to be feminine and small to be sexy?

ToolGirl4-

To mean i love sleeve and bigger tattoos on women (small are cute too) but i just love allot of good tattoos on women...Why do you think so many people think it has to be small, and like on the hip ect..??

Answer
Because they are stupid. Personally, I wouldnt even want a "sexy" tattoo anyway- what the hell constitutes for a sexy tattoo?! A butterfly? How the f u c k is a butterfly sexy. I don't know. Who cares about sexy? I love the art in tattoos, and the stories behind them (although i feel aesthetics are a good enough reason to get a tattoo) and personally I cant even imagine what a sexy tattoo looks like lol. I love sleeves too, theres something about them thats just really...well, just great. I wouldnt get sleeves because they wouldn't suit me, but i cant see why a sleeve couldnt be as "sexy" as a small tattoo. Its all in the eye of the beholder. Some people talk utter boll o c ks to be precise, and those people should be ignored. -_-

Q. I have a pretty small tattoo in my ear, and it's 3 stars, one big medium and small, I want to join the army, but don't know if I'd w aloud to or not? Please help me asap.

Answer
That will be a tough one. We put in a girl who had a tattoo of a flower behind her ear but I don't know if they'll allow a tattoo inside of it. Let a recruiter look at it so they can forward it up their chain of command and see if they will allow it.

@ TXDiver: If that was true then you wouldn't see people come to the military section daily complaining how they was rejected because of a felony, asthma, having only a GED, etc. We're not super-desperate like some people think and about 1 in 5 people in the US are actually qualified for military service.

What will fake tanning lotion do to my tattoos?

I've been

I have tattoos that cover over half of my body and I gave up tanning beds and laying out in the sun for hours when I decided to start tattooing myself as the sun will ruin my ink. If I use fake tanning lotion will that act as a cover up for my tattoos? Because I wouldn't want that.

Answer
Hi I work at a tanning salon so maybe I can help you. There is one particular girl that comes in and her body is COVERED in tattoos, and I'm talking sleeves, neck tattoos, her belly her back and her legs. Awesome tats though. But she was also worried about her tattoos fading, but she hated that she was so white. She also surfs a lot so her tats are really faded.

She doesn't seem to care. What she does is put sunblock on the parts of her body that are tattooed, which is a lot, but it seems to help a little bit. She uses the tanning beds.

But your question was about sunless tanner. I'm thinking that it probably won't do anything to your tattoos. I don't think it will cover them up or anything, maybe the color will look a little weird, I'm not really sure.

Try Loreal Sublime Bronzer.

Having problems on where I should put my tattoo?

tattoos for women magazine 99 on Tattoo Flash Magazine Subscription
tattoos for women magazine 99 image

JadeVampyr

I am having problems with deciding on WHERE to get a tattoo. It seems everywhere I want them, I (or my husband) finds a 'problem' for it being there. There are 2 main problems with some places:

1) Most places I want a tattoo, it will be where it will show...ie neck, arms, wrist, ankle. So, getting a job may prove difficult because some places want tattoos covered up, and it's hard to cover up wrists if it's HOT (no long sleeves of course).

2) I am about 80 pounds overweight.....so places like my thigh, side, upper arm (bicep area), and chest area may look funny with tattoos only because I am afraid if I lose weight, they'll shrink AND not sure how people will react to an overweight girl with tattoos on her "fat" parts.

So, my question is, should I just get whatever I want wherever I want and forget about what people will think? I need as much feedback as I can get with this.

Answer
I happen to be an overweight girl with an ever growing collection of tattoos. The ones I have on each upper arm actually get me a large number of compliments. If your tattoo is fabulous enough, no one is going to say anything about it being on a less than perfect arm.

I am currently working on my full back-piece. I have had to sit around the shop for hours with a shirt only on my front and not one person has said anything but 'HOLY GOD THAT TATTOO IS HUUUUUUGE, but its SOOOO pretty" I have shown it to friends who loved it, and wore it exposed in a halloween costume for a shift at work at the mall. Everyone has had nothing but compliments. NO ONE has cared one bit that my back is a little squishier than is ideal.

There comes a point in tattoo design where the tattoo crosses a line and becomes so awesome that you can show it off even if your body isnt perfect. I would not have worn a tank top out of the house before my tattoos. Now it seems that I'm qualified thanks to my ink. Putting that much work and time into your body deserves appreciation, and people know it!

Putting a trashy tattoo on flabby parts will create a visual nightmare. A bad tattoo is bad enough on a perfect body. Placing a fantastic, beautiful tattoo there can completely change your (and other people's) perception of it.

If you doubt, take a look at tattoo magazines. Granted 99% of the women in there are adorable tiny girls. HOWEVER the larger girls that are featured look JUST as cute! They are well decorated in all the usual places that girls get tattooed and no one minds a bit!

Find an artist you love working with and choose a design that is really gorgeous. Then put it in a place you want to take new ownership of and get ready for it to be appreciated.

Good tattoo ideas?? (10 points)?

Ashleigh

Last year on august 12, 2011 my dad went into the hospital with chest pain and he had a heart cath and the results were he had a 99% blockage in the main artery in his heart and he had no heart attack and no damage. But doctors say if he would of had a heart attack he would've been dead before he hit the ground. And I'm getting a tattoo for him. But he docent know im thinking something like 8.12.11 god chose life. But I mean I need more ideas and another thing my birthday is august 14 he had this done 2 days before my birthday

Answer
I'm not sure of your age, I assume you're old enough to get a tattoo? If so, how does your father feel about tattoo's? If he likes them, you're fine. If he doesn't I wouldn't suggest you get one, especially after he had a heart problem!

As for ideas, tattoos are very personal. Asking people for ideas is fine but it similar to asking someone what you're favorite food is. Also tattoos do seem (but no always) to differ between men and women and I don't know which one you are. As a tattoo wearer I would suggest (although it will seem vague) that is it something that you will like now and also when you are a lot older keeping in mind that what you like when you're 18 may be drastically change when you're 50.

If it is you're first tattoo I may suggest something small. If you're thinking something in a religious style then your scripture quote may prove perfect. Maybe add a small cross with a banner.
Another idea, but it may prove to be too large and not the best if it's your first tattoo is the phoenix. It is a iconic tattoo dealing with the legendary bird that is reborn from the ashes. It denotes rebirth.

I would suggest browsing through tattoo magazines/books and seeing all the options. From images, to different styles (traditional american, japanese, thin line to thick line, ornate to plain. etc). It will show you what may look nice as well it may tell you what you do not want! I would also make that you research where you want to have it done. Ask around to who does the best where you live. If the artists near you are decent but if you take a travel further they are better, take the trip. Get the best art you can get, Many tattoo parlours/artists have websites. Always view their work before you hire them. On a obvious note, make sure any text is spelled right!

Glad to hear your father is on the mend.

I'm not doing well helping out with my church's Vacation Bible School; any suggestions on how I can do better?

jesus fish tattoos for women on fish tattoo but i think this looks better than just a fish it is more ...
jesus fish tattoos for women image
Q. My church has been having a Vacation Bible School running since last week, and there is still one more week to go. There aren't too many men in our small church and the church thought it would be good to have a man help out at the Bible School, and since I am a new member of the church, they thought this would be a good way to get me involved, so they asked me to help out. I am new to this church stuff, and have been trying my best, but the pastor of our church, Sister Clemons, had a talk with me about what she thought were some problems with my contributions.

See, there are a lot of church ladies helping out with this thing, so the activities are all girly stuff, like sewing and baking and junk. The church agrees with me that there needs to be some more male-type activities, but the only other man helping out is the church choir director, Brother Percival, and the only contribution he has made has been to show all the kids how to put a perm in someone's hair. I've been pretty much left on my own to come up with good activities.

I thought I was doing well the first night, when I demonstrated how to do a tattoo. One new church member, who until recently entertained at the Hide-and Seek Gentlemen's Club out on route 5 until she found God, was a wonderful model; the "Jesus is my drug counselor" tat that I did on her shoulder looks real nice, too. I guess some of the church ladies that were there weren't too happy, though, especially since my model, previously known as *Good Time Gladys*, apparently knew their husbands a little too well.

The second night, I drafted my own kids to help me put on a Bible play. I wanted to deliver a story with a moral, so I chose the Old Testament story of Elijah, whose bald head was mocked by the kids. My kids played the mockers, making fun of my bald head, and then I, as Elijah, told them that God would get them. My kids turned and said, "Oh no! Here comes God's attack bear!", which was the cue for our obese Saint Bernard, Butterfly, to come bounding in jumping all over them and slobber on them like she does, while my kids hollered that they sure wished they hadn't made fun of a handsome bald man, since God was having this here bear smack them around. As Pastor Clemons told me later, most of the play was okay, except for the end where I turned to the kids and shook my fist at them, telling them that God was just waiting for the opportunity to send a bear to get 'em, if they didn't act right. Apparently some of the kids have had nightmares about bears ever since.

The rest of the week went okay, I thought, although Pastor Clemons thinks that my demonstration of how firing a rifle into the baptismal pool, to show how to bring fish to the surface of a lake, was a mistake. She wants me to fix the baptismal, too, but I told her I know a guy, so I think that took care of it. The church ladies were also very upset that I walked in, finishing off a beer. I used the opportunity to tell the bible story of how Jesus turned the water into PBR, but the ladies protested that that wasn't scriptural. I don't understand that; I mean, Jesus was a man, so I'm sure he liked to knock a few back after a long day of performing miracles. So far as I can see, the Bible only says "Be not drunk with wine", and PBR ain't wine, as any decent trailer park man such as myself can tell you.

Anyway, what are some good activities that are manly and all that I can present that won't ruffle the feather of the mother hens here? Brother Percival offered to demonstrate mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, if I would play the part of someone dying who needed it, but our practice run didn't go too well. I don't recall mouth-to-mouth resuscitation requiring so much tongue. What are some good activity suggestions to make this second week so good it will make up for the bad first week?

Answer
Well, Jack, this is a disaster so far. I'm surprised at you. Have you shown them how to put a rusty Chevy up on blocks in case they need it later for parts? Have you taught them how to stockpile MREs for Armageddon? (Why do men always leave it to the women to stockpile the MREs?)

I was with you on using the Saint Bernard as a bear until i realized you didn't use a rabid Saint Bernard. How are they supposed to get the real horror of the experience if the worst that happens is doggie slobber?

And you should never shoot a rifle in the baptistry to simulate fishing. That is why the good Lord gave us dynamite!

Go back and try again. Now, to make up for offending the ladies with the PBR, act out the story of Noah getting drunk with wine and being found nekkid in his tent. (I have a feeling Brother Percival might be up for playing Noah.)

:)

Anyone fear Fundamentalist Christians more than Fundamentalist Muslims here in the USA?

msfan80

I find Fundamentalist Christians more dangerous than Fundamentalist Muslims here in the USA. Fundamentalist Christians want to subvert the Constitution to meet their own ends. They want to do away with the separation of church and state (witness the number of churches being involved in politics, why aren't they being taxed?) Fundamentalist Christians preach smaller government but want to tell a woman what to do with her body, who people should and shouldn't marry, what we should or shouldn't read, burn books (Harry Potter and the Koran), preach only the parts of the Bible that suits them (why don't we stone people who eat shell fish like Leviticus says?) and tell other religions they are "going to hell" because they are not the "right religion (from personal experience: I went to a Pentecostal church for a year and the overriding message was that Catholics, Hindus, Buddhists and any other religion that wasn't Pentecostal were going to hell.). So who's more frightening: a home grown Fundamentalist religion (Christians) that is already here in droves or one (Moslems) whose fundamentalist numbers are a small fraction of the total religion? My vote goes to fundamentalist Christians.

Answer
Let's see....

1. The government tells women what to do with their bodies. Did you know that a woman can face a court-martial in the military for getting a sunburn or a tattoo? Article 92 of the UCMJ, if you're interested. So, are you complaining about the government doing this?

2. The government also tells people who should and shouldn't marry. In 1937, for instance, the state of Tennessee enacted a law after a 9-year-old girl married a 21-year-old man saying that people under 14 couldn't get married. The government also states that relatives (brothers and sisters, parents and children, anyone closer than 3rd cousin) cannot get married.

3. Any library you walk into is censoring what you can and cannot read, simply by carrying it or not carrying it. And, since it is your tax money that is paying for it, you have a right to say what it's spent on -- especially given the fact that libraries think there's nothing wrong with depressed 13-year-olds checking out the book "Final Exit."

4. Anyone, even those sitting in the Pentecostal, Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Episcopal, or Lutheran churches every Sunday, who has not had his/her sins forgiven the one and only way that God mandates they be forgiven is going to Hell, period. Not my opinion, not my rule. It's God's world and Heaven is His home, and as such He can make the rules.

5. The most recent polls, from secular organizations as well as church-based groups, state that "fundamentalist Christians" are about 5% of the Christian population (which is put at about 75%). Doing the math, that's about 11 million people -- versus 100,000,000 "fundamentalist Muslims" (assuming their claims that there are a billion Muslims with 10% of them being of the "fundamentalist" variety).

Finally, remember this: if you insult Jesus, a Christian will tell you he's praying for you. If you insult Muhammad, a futwah (death sentence) will be put on your head. Which one is really more dangerous?

What do you do to hold onto the memory of your baby who has died?

Aidan Lees

There are many things a parent can do to honor their baby who has died. No matter the cause- miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, health issues, or otherwise- the impact this tiny person has on your heart and on your life will stay with you forever. There is no "getting over" the death of your child.

As bereaved parents many of us do specific things to honor our children's memory: planting a tree or flowers, donating momentos to your local hospital for newly bereaved parents, donating books for your library on grief and loss, or even voluteering your time at a local children's shelter...

There is no "guide book" to follow after you lose a much wanted and very loved baby, there are no "rules" for grief- no right or wrong in how you honor the child who has passed away.

Please share with us your thoughts and ideas- you may be able to help a parent who has had their heart broken and dreams shattered by this devastating loss.

What do you do to honor your baby who has died?

Answer
I have a special shelf with my baby girl's picture, a few little stuffed animals that were to be hers, the prayer card and crosses from her funeral, other little trinkets, and a pink birthday candle that my son and I light then blow out (after we tell her "Happy Birthday") every year on the day of her birth/death day.
Since my daughter was born with severe birth defects, I have made a few small donations to the March of Dimes. I also wear a March of Dimes Saving Babies wristband.
I have a tattoo on my back of her name in a heart.
I added her name to a few online baby memorial walls.
I don't live in the state where she is buried, but when I did, I would visit her grave, take flowers, and talk to her.
She is forever in my heart. A parent does not get over losing a child, but you can get through it, by doing whatever it takes.

What do guys between the ages of 13-16 find attractive?

tattoos for girls women image

XxKirjaxX

I am 13 and I was wondering what guys around my age find attractive... Well if you are in this age range, what do you find attractive in girls/women? And if your older, what do you find attractive in women?

Answer
What do i find attractive in women? At this age, the more accurate word is "girl". I do find girls more attractive than women. I, being 16, am greatly enthralled by the cuteness, the lithe and curvaceous aspects of a girl. The body is obvious, but their is also a certain mystique, an infinitely interesting aspect surrounding the way your minds work, why you do the things you do. Personality. And I'm not sure what is so attractive about a girl's private parts, or the body in general. It must be because you are different than us guys. The truth is, females are the most attractive creatures in the universe for us. It is hard enough to resist temptation without you girls flaunting your bodies, but another thing entirely when you show cleavage or something. That gets our minds working. I realize many girls love the idea that they can turn a guy on like that. But it really makes it hard sometimes. Girls have been known as cruel angels, with minds that work in strange ways. If I see a girl in a bikini, it sits in my head and simmers. It piques my curiosity and starts my imagination. That just the body, but a real relationship is unquestionably better. It may seem cheesy, but I want real love. Anyway, being feminine and full of passion is what is attractive in a girl. I prefer clothing that is pretty modest, but displays a girl's form. Highlights the femininity. Yeah, an hourglass shape with fair-sized breasts is good, but is certainly not a deciding factor. I am a bit feral, so strong hormones are also a plus. I dislike earrings, piercings, or tattoos. If I like a girl, I get protective of her, and find myself wishing to comfort her in her sorrows. I am a fan holding, with lots of hugs and kisses. Don't make fun of me, or I will glare at your profile name for several seconds.

How to get over jealousy and insecurity?

Hayley

I'm engaged. I love my fiancé deeply and he treats me better than anyone I've ever. There's one issue, and that's my insecurity. I feel like I'm ruining everything. I'm not generally an insecure person, it's because of things that happened.. But I need advice on how to get over them before I completely ruin things. He has apologized for everything, changed it all, and genuinely feels bad. These are the things that have happened, in no particular order.

1) he told me a story about cheating on his ex with her best friend. Months later, he made a sexual comment to MY best friend on Facebook.

2) until I finally blew up about it, he was always going on and on about what he liked in women.. None of which I had. Example - I've heard about how he has a thing for women in glasses about a billion times. I don't wear glasses. New Years Eve, I made myself into everything he says he wants (except tattoos).. And I got the biggest reaction out of me. He talked about how beautiful i was, he was all over me all night. His contact picture for me on his phone is similar.. He claims it's the only picture I've sent him but I've sent him tons, but just one with glasses, my hair up, etc.

3) once, he blatantly checked out tattooed girls online in front of me. Verbally judging each one as hot or not. He has apologized for doing it.

4) this is the big one. There was another girl in the picture, and I kinda consider what he was doing as an emotional affair. He was texting her first thing in the morning and last thing at night every single morning and saying he had promised her he would. He initially tried to hide the nature of his relationship with her.. But it finally came out that he had a thing for her for a super long time. And when he was telling me about it, it was clear he still did. My thought about it was that I was being put second. Why wouldnt he want to talk to ME first and last? tHe also blatantly refused to make me the same promise

I want to get over this. :(

Answer
This is a good opportunity to try a threesome with your fiancee and the girl in the picture. Threesomes are a great way to sort out your feelings.

where can i find a femanine dragon tattoo design??

japanese dragon tattoos for women on ... of Japanese and Chinese Tribal Dragon Tattoos | Cool Tribal Tattoo
japanese dragon tattoos for women image
Q. Hi I am getting a tattoo next week and I want a dragon that is femanine but still has the strong quality of a dragon to show that I am strong and feirse but also femanine. Does anyone know of any sites that I can get some pictures or something?

Answer
sorry but Dragons are never feminine.

It is like asking the same thing:

I want a feminie lion or tiger as a tattoo. These are all powerful symbols, animals, mystic creatures. Being powerful, you do not want it to look feminine. Life wise, a phoenix, though used by many women, there is nothing feminine about a phoenix either.

If you want strenght and character of a dragon, go all out and do japanese or chinese dragon and dont worry about femininity.

for that reason, you cannot have a hello kitty tattoo and make it macho.

:-)

Do any of you know the name of the Japanese art for tattooing?

I used to go to this lady in Denver (but now live in Calgary) who did cosmetic liner for me. I'd like to find someone here in Calgary but do not know the name of the technique (nor is she listed in the Denver directory).

Answer
Horimono
From BME Encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Horimono (彫ãç©, 彫ç©) is the term used for traditional Japanese tattoos.
From the Japanese horu 'to carve, engrave or inscribe' and mono, 'thing'.

Executed with tebori, the Japanese tattoo artist uses traditional motifs such as peony flowers, dragons or unique ukiyo-e style human figures to create a tattoo that renders the whole body as a single, symbolic work. Horimono tattoos are also unmistakable by their gaku, literally 'frame', of waves, water or wind swirls surrounding the centre of the tattoo, which gives the horimono its 'suit' appearance.

Horimono are also known variously in literature or speech as irezumi, bunshin, shisei, gaman or hokuro. Although many Westerners and Japanese use irezumi to refer to traditional Japanese tattoos, this is technically incorrect since irezumi is a cruder term based on method. As the term horimono references the art form involved in creating such a tattoo, Japanese tattoo artists and those tattooed generally use the word horimono.

Due in part to the origins of tattoo culture in Japan, its association with geishin (penal tattooing), bakuto groups as well as present day criminal cultures, most notably the Yakuza, tattoos are still a strong social taboo in Japanese culture. Sadly part of this tradition of taboo is also due to discriminatory practices against the Ainu whose women wore large facial tattoos and the Hinin and Burakumin who were given tattoos to brand their caste. Wearers of tattoos may be refused service at onsen (bath houses), hotels, sex clubs and even bars. Part of this practice stems from wanting to avoid trouble with gangs and violent youth, but much more of the prohibition rests on perceived social opinions of difference in Japan and not wanting to make other guests uncomfortable. So even if you are gaijin (foreign) and tattooed you may still be denied entrance despite the obvious lack of Yakuza connection.

Do you think girls like this are attractive?

Bill

Guys, do you think a tattooed girl that also has multiple body piercings, (lip, nose, eyebrow, cheek, ear lobes with gaping holes in them, etc.) is attractive? Does this kind of body mutilation turn you on?

Answer
Absolutely not. Fortunately, I am not "turned on" by any girl that wishes to look like some side-show freak! If they are mutilating themselves for attention, they've got it, but for all of the wrong reasons. //#

What do you think of finger tattoos on girls?

.I ain't g

I want to get a small tattoo on the side of my finger so that in a serious, formal meeting, I can wear a stylish gaudy ring to cover it up. I was thinking on the right side of my finger on my left hand, but now I am thinking of getting it on the inner part of my finger - like if you were looking at your palm, you would see it, but not if your hand was lying down flat. Which one?

Answer
I say don't get one at all...the ink in tattoos tend to bleed a lot easier and a lot faster on fingers than anywhere else. So whatever cute little design you get now will more than likely end up looking like a blob of ink a few years from now, or looking like you've been wearing fake jewelry. But I say on the side of your finger.

Where is a good place for a girl to get a nautical star tattoo?

Sara

Ive been wanting a tattoo for somewhile now and I really want to get a nautical star but im not sure where i should get one.
I was thinking maybe behind my ear, the back of my neck, or maybe my wrist. Anyone have a good idea?

Answer
dumbest answer I've read in a while:
"wrist... i think that is the cutest place for a girl... and its kind of unique"

http://answers.yahoo.com/search/search_result;_ylt=ApMCgdwYefWJk2fGcHHm7soazKIX;_ylv=3?p=star+tattoo+wrist
....one search got me over 500 people who were asking about star tattoos on their wrist

.......star tattoos are insanely overdone
so in my opinion, there is no good place for a girl to get a nautical star tattoo

especially since you have to ask strangers on the internet

I'm sure that's not what you were looking for, but this question asks for an opinion.....and that's what I gave

good luck with everything

Foot tattoo and corporate dress codes?

foot tattoos for women names on Ankle Foot Tattoo | Cool Tattoo Gallery
foot tattoos for women names image

Katherine

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo on my foot, my pets' names. But I'm worried that it could hurt my job search, at least initially, as I'm fresh out of college, and all those great professional-looking women's shoes are also open-topped. What are some common corporate dress code rules about foot tattoos?
I'm not a stocking type person, and I don't want to put cover-up on it every day, what's the point of having a tattoo if you're going to actively cover it up every day?

Answer
A foot tattoo is discrete enough to be left alone. I'd suggest wearing shoes that would cover the ink to an interview/meeting/presentation. For a regular office day, as long as you don't call attention to it, don't worry about it being seen. If you're really concerned, ask your boss or supervisor if it would be appropriate to have the tattoo show.

What is a good spot on my husbands body for the tattoo of my name?

Amarela

First of all, don't get judgemental, this is our decision and we are sure about it. we are getting married this summer and he knows where he wants his name on my body...that is easy because i am a woman.

but i don't know what an appropriate place on a man's body is, especially for a NAME... also, he is a policeman so he can't have it showing out of his uniform. please help me think!

Answer
Id def say get it on his chest! I think thats like the sexiest place on a man. My boyfriend got an M on his arm for me (and didnt tell me til after!), and i really wish he would have gotten it on his chest.
I know you dont wanna hear it, but I think a name isnt the best idea. Id suggest getting a picture or design that is symbolic to you and your relationship. That way if something happens along the road and you two do break up, he can play it off.
I got a tattoo of a shooting star on my foot for my boyfriend. I rarely see shooting stars. But I saw one on our first date, and another the day he asked me out. So it has alot of meaning but it is not as completely blatant as a name but we both know what it is.

Just wondering. I know it would ultimately be up to me if I liked them or not. If you do.. what do you like.. what do you not like?
I really like unique ones like a chain of daisies on the thigh, a tiny feather behind your ear or even something spiritual like a lotus flower on your foot. But I have none yet because I have no extra cash yet!

How much did YOUR pin-up girl tattoo cost?

Cassandra

I'm really excited to start saving up for a pin-up girl tattoo on my thigh. I know artists charge around $150 an hour if they can't come up with a price for the piece. I want it about 7-8 inches long and a few inches wide, and also in colour. I was curious as to how much other peoples pin-up girl tattoos cost. So if you could let me know how much it cost for you and explain what it looks like so I could get a general price range it would be much appreciated! Thanks :)
