What is the reason for getting a butterfly crown tattoo?

MJDM

Answer
It meant something to the person who got it.

Butterfly tattoo designs far and away the most popular tattoo design request. Its ranking shows the influence that women have in tattoo culture, as butterfly designs are an overwhelmingly feminine tattoo choice. The butterfly, because of its short life, its physical beauty, and its fluttering from flower to flower seeking nectar, has among many ancient peoples been regarded as an emblem of the impermanent, unstable characteristics of the lower human soul. The caterpillar lives its period, making for itself a chrysalis, which after a stage of dormancy is broken by the emerging butterfly. This suggests the idea of the less becoming the greater, of an earthy entity becoming aerial. These thoughts led the ancient Greeks to use the butterfly as a symbol of the human soul (psyche); and in their mythology Psyche was in consequence represented in art with butterfly wings.

And

Crown Tattoos have long been used as a symbol of royal power and authority. Like the sceptre, the crown is a visible badge of office, granting the wearer, it's possessor, the absolute right to rule. That authority to rule was often held to be divinely inspired. In the Christian tradition the garland of thorns placed on Christ's head during the ordeal of his crucifixion is know as the "Crown of Thorns". The centerpiece of any coronation of a new monarch is always the moment when the new King, Queen, or Emperor has the state crown placed upon their head. At that moment the power to rule is transferred to the new monarch.

As a symbol, the crown also symbolizes leadership, and the rightful authority which comes from being elected by a group to serve as their leader.

Many groups have used the crown to symbolize the power and authority to lead or command. When it is combined with a cross, one of the meanings of the crown is "victory," and the cross symbolizes Christianity. Many Royal crowns in Europe incorporated the Christian Cross into their design, reinforcing the Monarch's claim that their right to the throne was a divine right and that the Monarch was guided by the hand of God.

As a tattoo symbol, the crown doesn't just mean the right of one person to command another. It symbolizes and individual's sovereignty over their own life, feelings, thoughts, and actions. The crown symbolizes self-control, and is a reminder to use power and authority wisely and justly.

What the heck is Kobe Bryants tattoo???

renai0718

It bothers me, i cant tell if its a crown or butterflies,...i dont know... WHAT IS IT????
does anyone know where a clear picture of it is?

Answer
It is a crown with Vanessa writing on it, he dedicated this to his wife for making a huge mistake of commiting adultery with another woman, honestly lemme tell u the truth, 99.9% of the players in the NBA have or will cheat on their wives, Why? It is the NBA, what do you think they do on away games? staying at the hotels? Are they just going to hang out? Michael Jordan was the biggest cheater of them all but it is too bad the media didn't screw with his reputation, they totally tarnished Kobe's image, it was Kobe's dumb fault and huge mistake no doubt about that, but still the Media ate him up good. now kobe haters have a reason to talk shyt, Oh well too bad they are still in denial, Kobe is the best player by far in the NBA today since jordan.

quarter sized crown tattoo and under it in gothic letters it said "sacrosanct"

i just want to know how others will perceive me after i get this tattoo.. or if it will have and affect at all..
it will be located on my arm(on underside with no hair on it and softer skin) centered between my wrist and elbow crease

Answer
Girl, I do not like tattoos especially on girls. I think this fad will fade faster than the tattoos themselves. Have you ever seen a tattoo on a 65 year old man? The tattoo darkens and the skin wrinkles. The tattoos starts to look like a patch of skin cancer or something. I was reading a blog on MSN, and the writer had a tattoo put on the small of her back to be different from evey other girl, but the tramp stamp (her words) became popular and every tramp had one which tossed her right into the crowd she didn't want to be associated. I recently heard a study of those who are having tattoos removed, women are the ones who are having these procedures. My advice is to think very hard because having a tattoo applied is easier than to remove one. In addition, the skin may never heal properly. God made you perfect, so why mess with perfection. God bless.

If it has a special meaning to you, then I would be interested and think it's cool. I wouldn't get a tattoo myself but I can respect people who do. Big ones can be distracting so I think the small size is a good idea. It sounds cool!

Can you name three evil Women in our history?

Very Vanil

Can you tell me why you think they rank as evil?

Answer
Note: I don't think Eva Braun was so much evil. She was simply a very misguided woman. Think of Nancy Spurgeon to Sid Vicious of the Sex Pistols, but less of an influence on Hitler than Nancy was on Sid. They were alike because they were a "groupie" of a man and social climbers. It's worth noting that Eva was actually, more often than not, unhappy in her "arrangement" relationship with Hitler (she wanted marriage, but he did not because he thought it would soften his image; she served mostly as arm candy and hostess at his villa). Her diary suggests as much as she tried to committ suicide quite often. He only married her just before committing suicide (as did Eva) because he knew Germany was lost, the Nazi party was doomed, and he wanted her to follow him in death.

Here is a list of other evil women in History:

1) Ilse Koch:
âDie Hexe von Buchenwaldâ the Witch of Buchenwald, or âBuchenwälder Schlampeâ the Bitch of Buchenwald was the wife of Karl Koch, commandant of the concentration camps Buchenwald from 1937 to 1941, and Majdanek from 1941 to 1943. Drunk on the absolute power rendered by her husband, she reveled in torture and obscenity. Infamous for her souvenirs; tattoos taken from the murdered inmates (she had a penchant for making these tattooed skins into lampshades), her reputation for debauchery was well earned (it was rumored she sexually assaulted women inmates). After building an indoor sports arena in 1940, with 250,000 marks stolen from inmates, Ilsa was promoted to Oberaufseherin or âchief overseerâ of the few female guards at Buchenwald. She committed suicide by hanging herself at Aichach womenâs prison on September 1, 1967.

2) Queen Mary I Born: 1516; Died: 1558
Mary was the only child of Henry VIII and Catherine of Aragon to live past infancy. Crowned after the death of Edward VI and the removal of The Nine Days Queen-Lady Jane Grey, Mary is chiefly remembered for temporarily and violently returning England to Catholicism. Many prominent Protestants were executed for their beliefs leading to the moniker âBloody Maryâ. Fearing the gallows a further 800 Protestants left the country, unable to return until her death.

3)Tz'u-hsi (also spelled Hsiao-Ch'in or Hsien Huang-Huo or Cixi, also known as the Dowager Princess)
Was a one of Hsien-feng (Xianfeng)'s whores. Had his only son. Her master died and she became a regent for the boy. She had her son killed the before he became of age, then violated the normal succession and had her three year old nephew named the new heir. Soon after that she was made the ruler of China, when her nephew's mother died.
Tzu-Hsi lived in extravagance; she squandered money on banquets, jewels, and other luxuries. She used funds earmarked for the navy to build herself a lavish summer palace. (The lack of military funds contributed to China's defeat in the 1894 Sino-Japanese war.) At the end of her life, her personal jewelry vault held 3,000 ebony boxes of jewels, and she was buried in diamonds.
She commanded the violently anti-foreign secret society "The Boxers" to attack foreign legations in Peking; this siege lasted eight weeks. In return, a mixed foreign force of 19,000 troops battered its way in and captured Peking. Peking was looted, many Chinese people were tortured, raped and killed. Tzu-Hsi fled to Sian. Before fleeing, Tzu-Hsi summoned the emperor's concubines and told them to stay behind. One of them begged to be allowed to accompany the emperor. "Throw this despicable minion down the well!" She ordered the guards. The order was carried-out.
Worked with the military and conservative forces to stage a coup and take power again as active regent, confining her own nephew to his palace. Later as she on her death bed, though old age, she had her nephew poisoned to death.

Why do men answer questions in the Pregnancy section?

curiousin0

All they ever have is smart ass remarks to make and it pisses me off. Go answer some questions you might actually know the answer to!

Answer
now... not all guys who answer these questions don't know what they're talking about. many of them have had pregnant significant others. my husband doesn't participate in YA! but if he did he would be great on the pregnancy forum because he is a fireman/ paramedic and he has delivered quite a few babies. unfortunately in our part of the country MANY women (and sometimes children) don't get prenatal care at all and don't even know how pregnant they are and don't call 911 until the baby is crowning. he knows just as much about pregnancy as many experienced women on here do.

i get it, you are annoyed with the smart a$$es but guess what??? they are in EVERY main topic group. i mainly hang out in the "tattoos" section and there are many more negative and smart answers on there. it's just a part of online anonymity.

Comparing the pain of a tattoo to childbirth?

tattoos for women crowns on Bracelet Tattoo Designs

Nina

I was a little curious, I hear women comparing tattoos to childbirth constantly, and was wondering which is really more painful? I have a tattoo on my neck, and I was just curious. Thanks! :)

Oh & by the way, I know it's a totally different 'kind' of pain, but I thought women compared them so much because they both have good outcomes, something you're looking forward to. (Of course, a baby is MUCH more to look forward to than a tattoo!) Haha.

Answer
I have never had a tattoo so I can't really say, but I cannot imagine how a large muscle contraction could be compared to a tiny, localized pain of a needle / scratching / burning feeling.

I usually compare the pain of contractions with the burning and pain you feel when a muscle does hard work, like your legs if you ran a marathon. This, coupled with the low back achy cramp of intense menstrual pain.

The birth itself (crowning) if you don't have any local anesthetic or epidural is referred to as the "ring of fire" for a reason, as there is an intense burning when the tissue starts to stretch. But endorphins and adrenaline kick in shortly and help dull the sensation, as well as the blood supply to the nerves gets cut off from the stretch. And you're so excited that you're so close by that point that you're just focused on getting that baby out, so the distraction helps dull pain too.
