vietnamese tattoo design.?

Hasish H

My fiancee is vietnamese and I would like to get a tattoo that represents her. Is there anything exclusive to vietnamese culture that would show this?
PS: I would just get her name but she isnt a fan of name tattoo's and vietnam uses western alphabet mainly otherwise symbols would be good, e.g. japanese symbols, arabic, chinese.
thanks.
I was just expressing how japan/china have theyre own alphabets, if vietnam had its own alphabet, I would have her name in this alphabet.

Answer
Why would you use Japanese, Arabic, or Chinese symbols to represent a Vietnamese woman? lol...
If you don't mind getting a flower tattoo, you could try the 'hoa mai' -- for us, it symbolizes spring, a new beginning, luck, etc. Like your marriage to come/relationship with her and everything :) Here are some pictures:

What is the traditional Muslim/Arabic tattoo that women get?

Q. I remember once when I was in North Africa, a man was showing me a necklace that had a little charm on it. He said that women got this tattooed on their body to show their relationship status or something like that. I think they get in on their hands, forehead and cheeks or something like that, I honestly can't remember. I might even be making this up, it was a very long time ago. But if someone can think of something that even sounds vaguely similar, please show me :) much appreciated, thanks. x

This may be the wrong section, I've posted it in two different ones. Sorry.

Answer
you might be thinking of Henna body art, its different from normal tattoos as its drawn on the surface of the skin with a dye, rather than injecting ink below.
its not permanent though.

I got a arabic quote tattoo the length of the back of my forearm and it got translated incorrectly so I always have people who speak arabic telling me its wrong. I have no idea how to cover it up. I also have a tattoo covering my inner forearm. I am a young woman..

Answer
Get the correct translation to an Arab tattoo artist and see if they can fix it because the Arabic calligraphy is very flexible and easily manipulated so it might work.

Good luck.

I'm a brazilian guy who loves america since ever and I will make one of my top dreams come true now in october: put my feet in marvelous America and cross the country from east to west by south states.

I am a Catholic, but not practicing. I believe in God.
I want to take the trip to make friends with all kinds of people, old, young, man, woman, straight, gay, christian, atheist ....

I want to know the United States and Americans.
Friends of mine say I'm crazy to chose the itinerary by Bible Belt.

Answer
It obviously depends on where you go, but it is 2013, and most people here are accepting of most people, their culture, backgrounds, sexual orientation, beliefs, etc. I think the key is to be accepting and happy towards others, and you already sound like a really cool person! I think you will have no problem touring our country, welcome anytime!

How do you say Andrea Lynne in Hebrew,Greek& Arabic?

Jamie

Im gonna get my mother's name and birthday tattooed on me soon and i dont want her name in english.Either Hebrew because she's is a very Godly woman and the bible was first written in Hebrew,or Greek because thats where her name originally comes from,or Arabic because its such a pretty language.

Thanks in Advance :)

Answer
Greek translation:
With Greek characters: ÎÎÎΡÎÎ ÎÎÎÎ
With Roman characters: ANDREA LAIN

Some notes:
- "D" in Greek sounds as "th" in "there"
- "E" sounds like "e" in "egg" (not as "ee" lik e"bee")
- "A" sounds ALWAYS as "a" in "alter"
- "I" sounds ALWAYS like "ee" (bee)

I want to get a tattoo of "I am blessed" in Arabic but I want to make sure it's the correct symbols. Is this right? Ø£Ùا اÙÙبارÙØ©

Answer
First of all, it/s better not to have that permanent tattoo, you can write this statement on a bracelet.

"I am blessed" means:
(for a woman) Ø£Ùا ÙبارÙØ©, Ana mubarakah
(for a man) Ø£Ùا Ùبار٠Ana mubarak

While: Ø£Ùا اÙÙبارÙØ© means:
I'm the blessed.

how do people in Egypt react?

Swanky

if they c a European dude and girl wiz braids, multiple facial piercing & a tattoos. 'cuz me and my woman r plannin' to spend couple weeks exploring Egypt and we look pretty krazy u know but we don't want any unwanted attention. znx 4 answrin.

Answer
hey Swanky , I was in a mall in Alexandria the other day and I saw a foreign looking girl who looked kinda like what you described .. people would just stare at her , an old lady passing by her mumbled something iin Arabic that sounded like "God Help Us" or something like that ... it was kinda funny but you will be getting attention and looks , even though Egypt is a touristic country but people here are very conservative ... don't worry though they aren't hostile .... ignore the Arabic comments and move on ... you won't understand them to begin with ...

I used to have an eyebrow piercing myself and I removed it when I moved to Egypt because my ex-girlfriend said she got some nasty comments in the airport when she visited Egypt a couple years ago .. and from the police themselves ... as for my tattoo I just cover it up ... and you should try to do so as well ...
