Most painful tattoo spots?

Amplified

What are the top 3 most painful spots to get inked at? 1 being the worst

Answer
Here are the top 5 worst places to get a tattoo!

1. The eyeball. Believe it or not, some people do get permanent makeup inside the eye, says Zwerling About once a year, a patient asks him to put pigment into a disfiguring blind eye to make it look like a normal one. The many nerves going into the front of the eye would make this an excruciating procedure without anesthesia. (Two other popular spots for permanent makeupâthe eye brows and lipsâare also painful, the lips especially so because of the many nerve endings located there.)

2. The mons pubis. The pain of getting a tattoo down under runs a close second to the lips, says New York laser surgeon Bruce Katz, who specializes in removing tattoos. There are a lot of nerves, which provide pleasure (as opposed to pain) under different circumstances. If you try this in a tattoo parlor, ask for a cream, advises Katz.

3. The top of the foot or ankle. Lots of women opt for tattoos in this area so the eye-catching designs will be visible when they're barefoot or wearing sandals during the summer months. But it's also ouch-inducing because of the absence of fat.

4. Behind the ear. A tattoo here can be endearingly sexy. Just remember ladies, there's nothing in this spot but skin and boneâand nerves (though not as many as on your lip surface).

Hope this answers your questions!

5. The chest (above your rib cage). If you're thin, this might be one time you'd be grateful for a layer of fat around your middle. The absence of padding makes this one of the most painful places for men to get a traditional tattoo.

I'd like to get some wings on my back (from top of shoulders to small of back) and they will be in a tribal way

I am 5'6'' with a muscular build. I wouldn't be getting this until maybe next year because I go to Marines basic training on Nov. So I have some time to think about it. I would get them so they match my bodies "V" shape, but I still wonder to go with this type of look or with actual feathers. I want them big because that's just what I've always wanted to do. What do you all think? Would it even be a good idea? I don't want them small because they look too "feminine". Any ideas? opinions? Is the tribal look too played out?

Answer
I am a woman and a tattoo artist. I wings are awesome tattoos! my suggestion would be not to go tribal, but to go with feathers or something more custom that the tribal. Your artist can help you draw it up. I generally say avoid tribals becuase they are less unique, that is just a personal opinion. yesterday I tattooed some sick yellow wings on a guys back and they look amazing! Its all about how you do it, the feathers can be feminine but they can be made masculine. you can make wings out of a number of things, bullets instead of feathers is also something i have done. Have your artist help you customize them!

Can I dye the top of my hair a dark chocolate brown and ombre the bottoms in one sitting?

Casey

So I have ombre hair right now, but my natural hair color is a light blondish brown color so it goes from that color into a blonde color for the ombre. I think it's good for right now for the summer, but fall is slowly coming up and I want to change it. I want to keep the ombre but I want all of my hair aside from the ends to be a darkish chocolate brown color and then still have the blonde bits at the end for ombre. So my really question is, is can I get JUST my hair BESIDES the ends dyed?

Answer
Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye. They call that look ombre hair color â darker roots, lighter ends â but colorists sees that fading. Women are wanting dimensional color with natural highlights that look like they've been playing out in the sun.

"Ombre is the number one poorly done color in this country! It takes a lot of blending and finesse to look natural. The key is to highlight the whole head, then deepen just the roots. Unfortunately, a lot of the ombre I see today is bad - I'm ready for that to be retired! Dye should make hair look expensive and chic. Otherwise, what's the point?" ~ Harry Josh, Hollywood's top hairstylist, who have given Gisele ombre color for 13 years.

London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 36 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <â¨

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time. Skin specialist Najjia Ashraf reveals that there are barely any dyes that donât contain this toxin; even the ones who claim they donât, are not being honest. âBig brands often escape the blame by suggesting they are ammonia-free. However, ammonia and PPD are two very different things and PPD is present in nearly every dye because it is what gives off the colour,â she explains.

Answer
Best At-Home Haircolor
L'Oreal & Clairol, have been tested by women of all ages, and approved & recently published by the Good Housekeeping magazine for July or Aug. 2011, I can't remember which magazine issue I read from my doctor's office. Google it

There's a reason why those two have been around for over 5 decades. They've formulated their ingredients and improved it since then, don't you think?

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.
Example: "My hair is right about armpit length as it is, but I've severely damaged it by bleaching it all at once. As a student of cosmetology myself, I would have to say that it was probably one of the worst mistakes I could have ever made."
Another example: ok i did my hair yesterday i DIDN'T bleach it ,but im not sure what its called but she took the color out of my hair and then dies it a blond color and my head was on fire it killed me so after that i hated my hair color so i colored it my self a darker color, it looked so ugly and it burned me again it rully hrt so after i washed it my mom checked it for me and found small spots of blood all over my top scalp like over 20 of em now im scared and don't know why its there is it from the color am i sick and something is wrong ??

NO BRAND is better than the other, no matter what brand, what color, even henna which is supposed to be more better, they are ALL CHEMICALS. Here's a new article I found re: henna, which is supposed to be better for you than reg. box dye. It's a good read! Google: Henna for Hair warnings.

Example of one who's hair is falling and stopped growing:
"my hair had been bleached many times and can't grow past a certain length
its also falling out . i stopped bleaching it.
i just need to add lenght! but if i can stop it from falling out..that be great too"

I was going to dye my hair myself with a friend helping me because the salon is way too much, and my hair is kinda long. multi colors-ish. it would be black on the top part and underneath it would be a carmelish brown and then the bottom layer ( the brown color) would be red tips. and then my (side) bangs are just going to be black near the roots, brown in the middleish, and then red tip on the very tip.

Answer
I do not recommend them.
I've responded to many girls (guys now too) under 15 experiencing in hair loss since 2009, due to hair straightening, relaxers and hair dyes. Women 60-90 have those same symptoms but it took them years to get there. But for 15 & under, giving advice here? They can't predict the future of their hairs, until they're in their 30's, but 15 & under with hair loss? C'mon! I've responded 7 in 2 hours 9-3-10, (before school started) 4 in 1hour 3-5-11 alone. 3 in 1hr. 8-8-11, 6 in 15 mins. 11-10-11.
One Example: Last month, around oct 5th, I decided my husband and I were going to be tinkerbell and peter pan for halloween. I have really dark hair. I tried to dye it blonde. Tried 3 times in two days to go blonde. Nothing worked. So I wanted to go back dark. It took me two dyes to get it back to black. So that's 5 times in about 3 days. A month later, my hair is falling out in crazy amounts.
What can I do to stop it? ??? I'm going crazy over this!

How to plan out a tattoo sleeve?

,

So I'm seriously thinking about starting a sleeve. I have some tattoos that I really want to get done, but they are not all in the same theme... would it look weird?

What are some ways to plan out a sleeve? I'm just scared that the tattoos won't tie together and that it will look like a bunch of individual tattoos instead of a flowing series.

Answer
Sleeve tattoo

You choose the following:
1. The concept or theme. For example is it going to be about music, love, romance, Alice in Wonderland, or nature. This is all up to you. It should always reflect who you are in your heart and soul.

2. You choose the style. Here are the main ones: Tribal, Fineline Color, Fineline Black and grey, Japanese, Traditional America or New School. If you need examples feel free to email me and I will send some.

3. Pick the images you want in the sleeves. For example a music sleeve would have your favorite musicians, instruments, music staff and notes, etc. They should be in the same theme or they look weird.

4. Next you choose open or closed sleeves. Open sleeves leaves lots of space between the images to give it an airy feel. Closed sleeves means all skin is tattooed even between images, this give the sleeve a more powerful look and feel. The choice is up to you.

5. Next choose an artist. This is not for the average tattoo artist. It has to be a master artist, someone who has done a lot of sleeves. Many times there are none in your area so you will have to travel. If you need recommendations email me at the email address below and I will give you some.

The rest is up to the custom artist. They will draw up the sleeve first and show you what they have, except tribal is best drawn right on the arm. Make sure you tell them you want a proper sleeve, which means it should start on the top of the shoulder, include the armpit (Yeah it hurts) and finish on the top of the hand like an opera glove. If you want it perfect you can include knuckle and finger tattoos. Donât worry about the hand, because with a full sleeve it cannot be hid anyway, so everyone will know so why not do it right.

If you have any other questions, feel free to email them to me at tatmaster28@yahoo.com

Good Luck. When sleeves are done right on a woman, they can look awesome and even change your entire life for the better.

How can a woman dress to turn men off from her or communicate a lack of interest in men?

How can a woman dress to turn men off from her or communicate a lack of interest in men? Or what can they do or how can they behave to communicate this?

Answer
Do you REALLY want to do this? Because I am going to give you advice and I bet you won't want to take it, because it will detract 99% of the men who would otherwise hit on you, including the ones who you probably DO want to attract.

1. Cut your hair in a mullet. And don't style it all cute, with bangs that fall casually into your face. Have it blend really harsh, and have it be too short on the top for any girlish accessories. That, right there ... sends a clear signal to most men.

--- If the haircut isn't enough ---

2. Wear something like baggy cargo pants with suspenders, or overalls.

3. Get a few piercings, and wear jewelry that looks rough.

4. Try some anti-social or anti-establishment tattoos.

5. Clip your nails very short and don't put any glaze on them, at all.

DON'T

- wear makeup
- wear skirts, dresses, pumps or heels.

and EVEN THEN ... after you have made these modifications in your appearance, there will be men who approach you.

Better advice ...

Just politely tell men that you are not interested. Because unless you are willing to alter your appearance like that (which conveys signals that might draw other types of problems to you) men will still approach you.

Another solution that I used to use, was get a fake wedding set, and wear something like a very visible cross around your neck. That tells them "Christian Married Woman" and generally they will leave you alone. Religious men will leave you alone, and so will non-religious ones who are creeped out by your crucifix.

Why is getting a tattoo such an agonising choice?

Skins_fan

For the people who actually think about it and not get a tattoo while they are drunk or something and regret it later, why do you think it's such an agonizing choice? Is it because you know it's permanent and it has to mean something?
Yes they have laser tattoo removal now and supposedly wrecking balm but think about how expensive the laser treatment is, some say it's just as expensive if not more so than getting the actual tattoo. So if were going to laser it for sure, what would be the point of getting a tattoo. I personally wouldn't want a huge tattoo or put it somewhere obvious, I just want one or two small, discreet ones.

Answer
Because it is a big decision! You're permanently scarring your body for life. It is a lifestyle change, especially with larger tattoos. You're immediately a different class of person, in the eyes of some. Things that have been factors in my decisions in the past include -

This will be on show in a wedding dress if I get married, do I really want that? (I came to the conclusion I'd wear a long sleeved high backed dress if I get married!).

This will mean I'll have to wear long sleeves for work on hot days - can I cope with that? (I came to the conclusion that floaty, loose fitting long sleeved tops are just as good at keeping you cool as t-shirts are!).

This will mean I'll never have pure skin again, do I really want that? (I eventually deciphered that this was just cold feet before getting my first, and that inked skin is no less pure than uninked).

This will mean some men would be put off wanting to be with me, would I want that? (I decided that if someone was as shallow to judge me on the surface of my skin, and that much of a prude, I wouldn't want him anyway!).

They will look horrible when I'm an old woman, on wrinkly skin, do I want that? (I came to the conclusion that 1. you don't see many old women walking around flashing their bodies, 2. my skin will be horrible and wrinkly with or without ink, 3. it's only such a weird thought because you don't see many tattooed old women, but by the time I'm old it'll be far more common, 4. even if they end up looking completely crap when I am old, the meaning behind each one of them will still remain in my mind and in my heart, which is more important than the appearance of them to me, and 5. I would prefer to get to my deathbed knowing I have lived my life as I wanted while I was young enough to enjoy it, instead of holding back on doing the things I wanted, because we all die anyway and then we are just bodies in the ground - there is no point to life, we're just here for the duration, so make the most of it while you can).

This will mean that I'll be 'one of them' instead of 'one of us' - is that too much of a lifestyle change? (I decided certainly not and hopped right over to the 'dark side' mwahaha).

All things like that. None of those decisions were made lightly or quickly. Getting tattoos is a big lifestyle change, particularly if you get extensive work. So you just need to take your time with it, dont rush into anything, you have a long life ahead of you.

10. Do not let a Woman Lie on Top of You, or Sit on Top either.
