are sleeve tattoos on women sexy?

samantha

im a 22 year old girl getting a 2/3 sleeve done on my arm. i have a full back piece and think its time to extend it out. and i was wondering if men think that a girl with an almost half sleeve would be sexy.....

Answer
I have a half sleeve and yes, the reactions to it vary with guys. My husband loves it and the rest of my tattoos. Many guys find it powerful but a bit too "alternative" or bad ass. And yes, some find it rather disturbing and a turnoff.

Here's the thing. Ultimately, you are who you are and it sounds like tattoos are a part of that. Wouldn't you rather find a guy that finds that part of you sexy and interesting, than holding back on part of yourself to attract a guy who might make you compromise in other areas as well? Be comfortable in your skin and loved for who you are!

Do you think woman with sleeves and other tattoos are unattractive?? O.o?

darkdanger

Okay, my friend and I were talking about tattoos, and I told him I want sleeves and a tattoo on the side of my neck. He told me not to because guys don't think that's attractive. To me I could care less what people out there think of me, but then I got to wondering, how many guys out there don't like a woman with tattoos? If you're a woman out there reading this do u like tattoos er think their attractive??? Thanks all!

Answer
It doesn't matter about what your douche friend thinks and if you like tattoos or want sleeves then that's all that matters. I like women with tattoos and or half sleeves or full sleeves if they can pull it off, it makes them look sexier and it shows they have some mystery to them. It's very attractive and women with tattoos look good and in my opinion look better then women without tattoos. So don't worry about what your friends think or anyone else because tattoos are for you and as long as you love them then that's all that matters. I'm 21 and I want full sleeves also but I'm going to wait to get any below the elbow until I have my career. So have fun getting tattooed and don't worry about what one guy thinks about it, he is probably too scared to get any tattoos himself and doesn't understand why people get tattooed. How old are you btw?

Women w/ tattooed sleeves only!?

bakey3434

I'm seriously thinking about getting a 3/4 sleeve on my left arm. I've been mulling it over for the past 2 years. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to do it. I have an idea of what I will want on my arm for the rest of my life. I know that the tattoos that I get will have meaning. I've read a fair amount of different info on tattooed women. What I want out of this posting is how your life changed when you started or completed your sleeve. Did people treat you differently? Friends or family? In public situations, work? How and where? Do you have kids? How do your tattoos affect that aspect of your life? Do you regret any of your tattoos? Just anything, however minuscule you think it is. I would love to hear it. Everyone I've asked has just told me to do it and I need some kind of other opinion. Please serious replies only. Don't write something here just because you need points. Thank you to everybody who read this and replies seriously.
I have 2 tattoos on my back already. I'm not asking because I care what people think about me, I'm just interested to see what peoples experiences are. Thank you again

Answer
I am female, age 48 and I currently have 25 tattoos. I didn't get my first one until I was 44. I do not yet have an arm sleeve tattoo, but I will in the future. I do have what I consider leg sleeve tattoos on both of my legs from the knees down - fully covered. My left leg is a complete Alice on Wonderland theme. Yes, I do find that people treat me differently, but that is their problem not mine. I find that most people I encounter think that because I am female and have so many tattoos that I must be homosexual -- I have never heard a more crazy thing, but then again so many people stereotype based on looks alone. I am lucky enough to work for a Software Company that accepts the way I look regardless of tattoos. I have a daughter age 19 and she has several tattoos as well. In fact, we usually go together and get them. My husband has no tattoos at all. I do not regret any of my tattoos. I find it is a great way of expressing myself. I consider my body a canvas and my tattoos to be works of art. I have a great respect for the few people that I have encountered that have actually taken the time to ask me about my tattoos and their meanings. NEVER let anybody tell you what you can and can't do with your body! Do what you like and like what you do!

Full Sleeve tattoos on women?

ShyGirl

Hot or not?
Im seriously considering a full sleeve arm tattoo, but I'm not sure if if suits women or not. I think they look amazing, but I really don't know if they look good on a woman. That didn't really make sense..

I want something like this:

Should I date a woman with a full sleeve tattoo?

A full sleeve tattoo on a woman that is petite and otherwise innocent looking...
Maybe it means nothing? Maybe it says something about her personality, character?
Should I beware? Is she a biker chick? Are her previous boyfriends all huge and scary looking tattoo clad Hells Angels?

What drives a beautiful innocent woman to put a tattoo on her entire arm (sleeve)? Maybe she just likes it, or maybe she is one tough cookie?

Answer
Full sleeve of tattoos on an otherwise ordinary girl.... that sounds awesome to me. I usually see that as a sign that she's quirky in a fun way, but at the same time she is conscious of her appearance and not too weird.

What's the harm in taking her out a few times, get to know her. I would.

what would they appeal my request after some idiot reported my question?

Q. it made me very mad. i asked "what do men think of women with tattooed sleeves?" and someone reported it! i appealed it and they emailed me saying it was a clear violation of community guidelines. why is this?

Answer
That happened to me once and I was surprised just like you that it violated something. It's good if they are specific on the violation. They expect us to read all the rules and find where the violation is that we committed. Glad you complained. You're not the only one.

My arm has been permanently swollen since I had my tattoo, what do I do?

Q. I had it done around two years ago, its a half sleeve tattoo. The woman who did it, dug too deep into the skin, which has left the outline blotchy, scarred, and is raised. She has also done it, so their is fluid retention in there.

Ever since it happened, I have been applying cocoa butter, with vitamin e, but tbh with you, it doesn't seem to be helping.

Not only is it swollen, but the tattoo looks bad also, oh and it hurts too,

Is there anything I can do?

Answer
Sorry to tell you this, but getting a tattoo also comes with a slight chance of these sorts of things happening. My cousin got a full sleeve once, but the artist messed up the upper part, and it left it quite swollen for the longest time. He eventually plucked up the courage to go to the tattoo artist what he could do to fix it and the tattoo artist was nice for a while, then got colder and didnt offer any help. I'd suggest you went to a dermatologist (skin doctor) as he can probably prescribe something that would help the swelling completely or at least be able to fix the scarring ( I take something called retinol micro pump which clears up scars--it works WONDERS)
Again, sorry to hear about the swelling , good luck!

What do you think about women having tattoos?

Q. I don't mean substantially tattooed, just like a couple. Two small wrist tattoos, one on each wrist. Or just tattoos on women in general. ? Thanks.

Answer
I don't like it when people have one or two small tattoos*, get big custom work or just don't bother.

Properly tattooed women are fantastic. My wife has her sleeves done.

One, significant, personal, piece is different to a f*cking dolphin/star/flower/bird/cherry blossom.

Why do so many people say a tattoo on a woman has to be feminine and small to be sexy?

ToolGirl4-

To mean i love sleeve and bigger tattoos on women (small are cute too) but i just love allot of good tattoos on women...Why do you think so many people think it has to be small, and like on the hip ect..??

Answer
Because they are stupid. Personally, I wouldnt even want a "sexy" tattoo anyway- what the hell constitutes for a sexy tattoo?! A butterfly? How the f u c k is a butterfly sexy. I don't know. Who cares about sexy? I love the art in tattoos, and the stories behind them (although i feel aesthetics are a good enough reason to get a tattoo) and personally I cant even imagine what a sexy tattoo looks like lol. I love sleeves too, theres something about them thats just really...well, just great. I wouldnt get sleeves because they wouldn't suit me, but i cant see why a sleeve couldnt be as "sexy" as a small tattoo. Its all in the eye of the beholder. Some people talk utter boll o c ks to be precise, and those people should be ignored. -_-

I really like them and I'm even considering getting one but I am curious what the general public thinks of women with them? Large tattoos, at least where I live, are typically a male thing.

Answer
Tattoos are so tacky.
Tattoos on women should be illegal.
If you get even one tattoo you may as well say goodbye to your femininity and class.
Not to mention they look gross when you get old.

How do i start tattoo sleeves?

[ys

Hey i'm a girl, 18, kind of edgy/punk/rocker whatever you wanna call it. Eventually i'd like tatto half-sleeves on both arms, like to a little past the elbow. I have no idea how i should start them out, and i'm open to many suggestions. Something feminine, but badass? Lol xD

Answer
Steps in getting a Sleeve tattoo:

You choose the following:
1. The concept or theme. For example is it going to be about music, love, romance, Alice in Wonderland, or nature. This is all up to you. It should always reflect who you are in your heart and soul.

2. You choose the style. Here are the main ones: Tribal, Fineline Color, Fineline Black and grey, Japanese, Traditional America or New School. If you need examples feel free to email me and I will send some.

3. Pick the images you want in the sleeves. For example a music sleeve would have your favorite musicians, instruments, music staff and notes, etc. They should be in the same theme or they look weird.

4. Next you choose open or closed sleeves. Open sleeves leaves lots of space between the images to give it an airy feel. Closed sleeves means all skin is tattooed even between images, this give the sleeve a more powerful look and feel. The choice is up to you.

5. Next choose an artist. This is not for the average tattoo artist. It has to be a master artist, someone who has done a lot of sleeves. Many times there are none in your area so you will have to travel. If you need recommendations email me at the email address below and I will give you some.

6. The rest is up to the custom artist. They will draw up the sleeve first and show you what they have, except tribal is best drawn right on the arm. Make sure you tell them you want a proper sleeve, which means it should start on the top of the shoulder, include the armpit (Yeah it hurts) and finish on the top of the hand like an opera glove. If you want it perfect you can include knuckle and finger tattoos. Donât worry about the hand, because with a full sleeve it cannot be hid anyway, so everyone will know so why not do it right.

7. Next get a second job if not rich, just to pay for the sleeves because they are very expensive.

If you have any other questions, feel free to email them to me at tatmaster28@yahoo.com

Good Luck. When sleeves are done right on a woman, they can look awesome and even change your entire life for the better.
