Use this! I love how you can design your own. The colors and such are kinda girly, but I love the zebra! Go through them and pick! Maybe you could get that, and some really cool purple sheets with green pillows. Awesome!

good ideas for a little girl's birthday at home? 4 years old?

She will be turning 4 in February. There will only be about 5 or 6 little kids there, girls & boys. It might be really cold outside too. Any ideas for entertaining them or cute recipes for a child's birthday party?

Did you think about having a theme? A theme will tie everything together and make it easier to come up with games and I am sure your little girl will get excited and love to chose her own theme. Also just because you would have a theme doesn't mean you have to pay a lot more but I think it would make the party more memorable.
So for the themes here are some ideas
Jungle Party
-Paint Kids Faces to look like jungle animals. Get some no-toxic inkpads and stamp animals onto kids hand or apply temporary tattoos. Have an animals parade tell the kids to bring a stuffed animal. Play jungle music and have the kids carry their stuffed animals while they march around behind the birthday child who is holding a stick with streamer attached at the end present homemade award ribbons to all the stuffed animals for the furriest, largest, colorful, longest hair, smallest and most scary. Play Catch the Lion by the Tail Kids sit in a circle on the floor. One partygoer, the lion, tucks a homemade tail (a yellow piece of fabric with a knot in one end) into his waistband and begins circling, touching each child on the head and saying "Lion." When he decides he wants some action, he touches a player on the head and shouts "Hyena!" The lion then must dash around the circle and take the hyena's spot before the hyena can grab the lion's tail. If his tail is snatched, he remains the lion; if not, the crafty hyena becomes the new king of the jungle. Jungle Tag Have one Lion chase the Zebras once a Zebra is tagged they must stay frozen until another Zebras tags them to unfrezze them. Before the event, cut out one poster board strip (roughly 3 by 20 inches) for each guest, adding the ears for a particular animal (rounded ears for a tiger, say, or ears and horns for a giraffe). At party time, set out the strips on a newspaper-covered table or bench and scatter around a pile of crayons or water-soluble markers. Children can pick whichever blank headband they like, then color it. Measure the band around the child's' head, then staple the ends so that it fits snugly. Before the party put each guest party favors in a bag or box find animals stickers a different animal for each guest or print them out on the computer have two of each animal for each guest. put one sticker on the favor bag and one on an index card hide the bags around the house and when the guest arrive they can pick an index card to use and find the favor bag with the same animal.
I can write a decription out for each theme but don't feel like doing that for all of them so here are some other theme ideas and once you ask your daughter please let me know which theme you chose so I can help you out further.
