3d animation course to become a leading 3d animator?

creative

I have finished B.sc visual communication. I have also done a diploma in multimedia and graphics. I want to become a 3d animator, is this bachelor degree enough to attain great heights or should I pursue M.sc in animation?

Answer
Simple answer: no and yes. Getting a better education is a good starting point. If you are interested in becoming a 3d animator, you:

a) get an excellent understanding of how the body moves/works, anatomy and completely understand character animation principles.

b) practice, practice, practice. Hone your skills all the time. (Maya is standard in the industry, btw)

For a) you may be able to do it all by yourself, but this means a lot of endurance, persistence and self-discipline. You may want to think about doing a pro-level character animation course, even AFTER finishing an Masters in animation, such as animationmentor.com and gnomon.

http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/

Landing a job all comes down to your demo reel. That is it, for the most part. You may have several degrees tattooed on your forehead, but if the autodidactic guy/girl has a better demo reel, you are toast. Getting into this industry is H.A.R.D. But persistence pays off, as always. And some animation schools have good ties within the industry (such as animationmentor, vfs, ...) which helps getting contacts.

TATTOO DESIGN HELP! 10 points best answer!!!!?

ibrene2

I am a petite girl and I am looking to get a tattoo on my hip. I know that i want hearts gradually getting bigger as they go up. I want no more than three and I want it to be flowy, dainty, & girly. I don't want anything too big because I am a tiny girl in size. If anyone can design one for me it would help out ALOTTTT! thanks :)

Answer
You'd be better off going to the tattoo artist who is going to do it. They are professionals and part of their job is to design the tattoos; so they have experience are good with translating ideas onto paper and they know what will look best depending on where you get it. Some spots of your body don't look good with flat designs so you need more of a 3D kind of design or something with motion.

What are some good movies to go and see in the cinema right now?

It's a date and we're both 20.

Answer
Though you are 20 yrs old, you didn't state what your genres is- so i assume your both open to anything.

This link show the current movies open: http://www.moviewatchlist.com/new-released-movies

I personally like a wide range (depending on mood). If I had the time I'd see:
A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. LOL
Anonymous.
Puss in Boots.
The Muppets.
Happy Feet 2.
Hugo.
Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

Maybe:
Immortals.- mindless action/ effects
Jack and Jill.- mindless stupidity.... guilty shame, I like dumb mindless movies.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.- I wasn't interested in the books, but my friends won't shut-up about it.

What do you think of a pin up girl tattoo?

pumpkin

I love the idea but my best friend said it sounds trashy... I kind of just want that style, the girl would be fully clothed (in a short dress and heels) and be kicking up one heel behind her. I think that sounds really classy. What do you think?

Kind of like this girl but she wouldn't be in this position. But dressed like this and a redhead with this kind of face. Like this style of girl,

Answer
I think that if you get that tattoo, you will forever be viewed as a low-class person. In my opinion, you should not get tattooed. Your body is clean now, and not profaned by any graffiti, but that will change forever if you pay some tattoo predator to ruin your body. Just don't do it is my advice to you! You have lasted this long without tattoo, do not cave to the pressure from lesser people or a sick society and take that fatal step. Everything will change for you, for the worse, after you get that first tattoo. We are instructed in the Holy Bible that our bodies are holy temples given to us by the Lord in 1 Corinthians 6:19 â19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; â Our holy bodies are not canvases to be profaned with unholy graffiti, in a manner offensive to both man and God, who instructed us through the prophet Moses : "Do not cut your bodies⦠or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORDâ Leviticus 19:28. Although this is Old Testament, and some Christians think they need not obey, I am not so sure myself. If the Lord does not want tattoos on His Levite Priests, is it beyond understanding that He may not want them on his Christian followers, despite the fact that there is no specific prohibition against them? It could be construed as disrespectful of the Lord, even. Praise the Lord forever. Praise His Holy name. Pray for your guidance from the Lord, and good luck. Let me tell you why I am so anti-tattoo and so anxious that you not take this ugly step. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. Your chances of getting a good job will be greatly diminishedâmost companies will not hire you since your tattoo will be seen as offensive to other workers. There is nothing good about a tattoo. A tattoo is little better than a cartoonâyou canât get a good quality drawing on the human skin. Tattoos are an urban blight. They are ugly, like graffiti. Like graffiti, they lower the quality of the environment. Tattoos lower the quality of life, for everyone who has to see their ugliness. I donât like the whole concept of tattooing, the way these hideous cartoons are inked into the flesh of people through bloodletting and pain; to me they are a dark and evil art. Tattoos are closely linked to other forms of self harm, like cutting, piercing, drug use, etc.; they are hand-in-glove with these destructive behaviors. I donât like the way evil people encourage our vulnerable children to get tattooed, so they can make money off of them. They do not care that they are causing harm. And yet, these evil ones, these tattoo predators, are even admired by their deceived victims. I donât like the way that young people are fooled into wanting tattoos by degenerate Hollywood and the media. Kids think tattoos are cool and cutting edge, but over time, they wind up hating their tattoos. Far worse, they wind up hating themselves. I donât like that parents and older people are so afraid of being disliked that they say nothing against tattoos, even though they know better. Worse, some completely abandon their responsibility to provide sound guidance and even encourage the young ones to get tattooed. I donât like how young people are so angrily defensive about their right to get tattooed and ruin their lives. . As far as tattoos being âartâ, that is garbage. A tattoo is NOT "a work of art". The human body is not a canvas and the abusers and mutilators who desecrate it are not artists. Most of their so called "art" is little better than comic book drawings. The majority of western people get tattooed when young and their decision making process is not yet matured. They need to be very careful in making important, permanent decisions. The reasons young people get tattooed are not mature (i.e. they want people to notice them, they want to pretentiously âhonorâ someone in a way that will attract notice, they want to pretentiously present some âdeepâ quotation on their skin in the hope that people will think they too are âdeepâ, they are rebelling against their parents or society, they are conforming to what they think are social norms, they are unable to see ahead and view the negative results of their actions, etc.) If you want to see the true level of cultural development for tattoos and other body modifications, look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwOXCmjTs⦠. More and more young people are buying into this Hollywood lie that tattoos are a cutting edge way to âexpressâ yourself. But that is so not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh. God bless you and good luck.

Help with an art project, to portray my personality in a drawing or 3d piece?

Rebecca-Lo

Okay so I've just started art college this week, and we got a mini project to do for next week. Our tutor only gave us a very brief description of what we have to do so I'm a bit unsure how to go about it. Basically we can do a 2d or 3d piece, and its meant to portray our personality traits/hobbies in it. Personally I'm more comfortable with doing 2d pieces like drawings and stuff, but I really want to do something that will really stand out and give a good first impression. I'm the type of person who gets all these ideas in my head but then doesn't know how to go about doing them. Any help would be really appreciated so if anyone has any cool, creative ideas please help.

Description of me/my personality:

I'm really small, only 5ft0, get made fun of a lot (jokingly) over my height and have gotten a lot of nicknames because of it (Frodo, Pixie etc.) . I'm from Ireland. I have very pale skin, very blue eyes that I tend to get a lot of compliments on, and really long eyelashes. I have naturally a mousy brown hair colour, but have been dying it for the past 3 years bright blonde/white. I'm friendly, find it easy to make friends and talk to new people. I can be really hyper and quite crazy especially around people I know well. I have a really loud laugh, sounds more like a cackle half the time :P. I'm a bit odd really, I say really random things. I love criminal minds its probably one of my most favourite tv shows ever. I also like to read, I really like crime/thriller novels, and because of my love of crime novels/shows all my short stories in school were kind of dark and crime based also. I have a very unusual style and dress sense. Most of the time I wear all black, I don't know what it is I'm just more attracted to black clothes. I get called a goth a lot. I do like lacey materials in clothes, and I love skulls and tend to wear a lot of skull jewellery, or scarves/tops or anything I can find with skulls on them :P. I mainly always wear skinny jeans.leggings I don't like flared jeans, my jeans have to be super skinny and tight. I quite like working out , I'm more of a work out at home girl though. I love blogilates workouts and Jillian Michaels. I'm rarely seen not wearing doc martens.I get sunburnt really easily because of my fair skin. In college I'm studying Makeup design for stage and screen. I love doing makeup so much. I love watching tutorials on youtube or looking up makeup pictures for inspiration, and just experimenting with different makeup looks. I get asked to do my friends makeup for nights out a lot, but I never mind because its something I love to do. I wear lipstick a lot, mainly darker colours like red/burgundy/plum colours. I love tattoos I only have two at the moment because I don't have the money for any more yet but I would love to get quite a few. I think all art forms are amazing, and I do count tattooing as an art form despite what anyone else thinks. I love tea! And I always have to have a lot of sugar in it, I'm a bit addicted to sugar I think, and caffeine. Seriously I get so hyper after like drinking coffee, or eating skittles or drinking coca cola. I love cats, and my kitty Arthur is like my little baby. I smoke, and I do drink, mainly vodka. I get pretty annoyed when people call me cute, like I can't do anything without it being cute or something! Just because I'm small.. I like writing (short stories/songs) but kind of haven't done it in a lot time and would love to get back into it once i'm settled into college. I love animals, and used to want to be a vet when I was younger. Even when I was like 7/8 and we had reading time and could get any book we wanted from the shelf to read, I'd get the big encyclopedias and go to the animal sections and read about them hahaha. I love fairytales, especially the older/original versions like Grimms Fairytales and Hans Christian Andersons. I find them really fascinating. I like music, and I like to sing. I've been told I have a good voice by many people but not many people get to hear it because I'm terrified of singing in front of anyone. I like modern day/chart music but I have quite a mixed music taste and also listen to the likes of the Beatles, the Ramones, AC/DC etc.. I love going to the cinema, and I love going to see horror movies. I always do this thing where I cover one of my eyes when I get scared watching a movie, I have no idea why because its not like it helps at all :L. Okay I'm so sorry I ranted there jsut wanted to really give people a good look into my personality and hope they can get some ideas from it.

Nicknakes: Blondie, Frodo, Becka, Becks, Pixie, Smurfette.
