we want to get a tattoo that has meaning for what we have been threw. something that stands for a struggle but also love, peace, strength, trust. in the end something good came out of all that waiting.
we dont want words we want art. my boyfriend and I have known each other since 08 and been together for a year. we have been threw a lot of drama our ups and downs just to be together. now we have a beautiful little girl who is going to be a month.

2 polar bears fighting in a snowstorm.....if you're White, that means you don't get a tattoo. If people ask you where's your tattoo, just point to your bare skin and say its 2 polar bears fighting in a snow storm

if you're Black, you'll have to say it's 2 panthers fighting in the night

too many people get tattoos and later regret they got them. It's best not to get a tattoo

What do you think a tree with no leaves symbolize?

I've been looking at tattoos of trees lately and I've noticed that nearly all of the trees I see have no leaves, just branches. What do you think it means? I was thinking of getting one myself but I wanted a tattoo that was meaningful. I want a tattoo that will represent myself, my pain, my struggles, my ups and downs, and my strength. A tree would be perfect, I'm just curious why trees with just branches? Nevertheless, it does look gorgeous..

I like trees w/o any leaves too. IDKY, just do. BUT- I was just watching a show I have never seen before on tv "NY Ink" a few days ago and this girl got a tree w/o any leaves. It was awesome! SHE told the artist it was because she was like in the "gypsy" years of her life, going here and there, wherever the wind blew (kind of like a sabbatical...) and that she got the tree so that as she "grew up" and put her life together, she would ADD a leaf here and there signifying a milestone, or an accomplishment, or a goal reached, or a dream come true or whatever. She said she thought it would be really interesting when she was old and gray to see how many leaves grew on it over the years. OR SOMETHING TO THAT POINT...

I like the idea very much even though I am not into getting tats anymore. I got one and threw around getting a ring before, but haven't and prolly won't.

I think you should get a leafless tree, and ADD leaves as you grow.
