Do tattoos behind the left ear have any like sort of meaning? Like how a certain pierced ear means your gay, or how a tear means you've killed someone or something like that? I just wanna make sure I'm not gonna look like a certain type.

Nope! It's just a pretty easily hidden spot because if your a girl you can cover it with your hair, so a lot of people get them there :)

anyone can have anything mean anything they want. there are some people who mean for it to represent a certain thing that may connect all those who have had this symbol. but it ends with the group of people who decided to do it. it would mean something totally different to someone else. it could even mean that they knew they wanted a tattoo but they didn't know what they wanted it to be. If you have someone you are interested in knowing about what it means to him/her i would think it would bring up a way to introduce yourself to them and maybe get to know them. or not.

Chinese words tattoo is kind of hot these days. Many people inscribe their bodies in chinese writing. However, some have really weird meanings. I have seen one with a swear word "f...", "tramp", "heavy flow" meaning diarrhea. I don't know how much more weird can this gets? Hopefully, people will get ink that make sense. Beckham have a smart chinese tattoo.

When they first caught on, there weren't as many ways to check the meanings of Chinese and Japanese tattoos. I have not seen these, but I heard about them on the radio- apparently a Chinese tattoo artist got fed up with dumb Americans getting stuff they couldn't read put on their bodies just to be trendy, so he started to put characters different from the meanings he gave on people- his victims were as follows:
A girl who wanted to have "beautiful princess" on her midriff (near her bellybutton), he wrote "insert General Tso's Chicken here"
A college student who wanted something like "strength" or "warrior" (can't remember) on his chest instead got "Small penis"
There were a couple others I can't remember.

I also heard about someone getting something like "idiot", instead of whatever it was that they wanted, and another who was given "I can't read Chinese".
