i want a tattoo on the back of my neck, but not something stupid.. something that would look pretty or atleast half decent if i were to pick up my hair at work ... dont reply with smart answers or " you should get something meaningful blah blah" , i kno, but whatever. i like dragonflys, butterflys, im a sagitarius.. The fact that you like dragonfly's caught my eye! I was at a show the other day, and a girl had her hair pulled up. On her neck she had a dragonfly starting on the left side of her hairline, I'm guessing the general place where you want yours- and then smaller dragonfly's and flowers almost in swirls to the right side. I know its a bad description, and I wasn't able to find a picture like it...but I hope it gives you some kind of idea.

Tattoo in honor of my dad?

I'm looking for an idea on a way to honor my da through a tattoo. He died 8 months ago of diabetes. I'm a 16 year old male. I live in Oklahoma and will be traveling out of state, with my mom seeing as parental consent is still required. He always wanted a tattoo but couldn't get one, and after 5 months of painstaking arguing my mom, shes finally been convinced of how important this will be to me, and hasl given consent. I understand people will probably say a tattoo isn't the best way to honor him, but I've thought long and hard over this, and this is the way I'm going to do it.
The tattoo is going to be on my upper right bicep or on my chest. Looking for something artistic. Probably no color. Looking for something to symbolize courage and sacrifice.

I got a tattoo for my papaw last year after he passed away from complications from a stroke (he was mistreated) and I got his first and last initials on my upper left bicep, or whatever. As a girl, that's a masculine place for a tattoo. But it's there. And the woman that did my tattoo helped me out with both it and my dragonfly tattoo that she did on my foot.
But if you are getting one and you're underage, have some form of photo ID. All tattoo places ask for it. Also, do research on tattoo studios and underage clients. Alabama will do it with hell-bent clients (i.e., me.) You HAVE to, I repeat, HAVE to find a willing studio to tattoo you because you are underage.
If you can find another studio in a closer state, all the more power to you.
Sorry I'm just sayingâI've been there before. Get like a hat or a ball (of any kind) or a fishing rod and his initials & his birth date to the date he died. Make it personal.
