I'm part Samoan on my mother's side and I was wondering what would be a good tattoo idea to get tattooed on myself. I looked up Samoan tattoos and they are so large! I just want something small that when people ask what it means, I say it's a Samoan tattoo. Thanks for any websites that I can look at or ideas!!

I would suggest you be authentic do the large Samoan tattoo. There would be no better way to reflect the pride you have in your heritage and to honor your ancestors. A lot of detail would be lost in a small version, and it would not represent the culture to its fullest.

I'm seventeen and I have been really really interested in tattoos. I want one so, so bad, but I don't want to get a tattoo just to have one, I want one that has meaning behind it and a purpose for being there. But I'm having trouble thinking of what I want.. I kind of want a script , but then again, a design might be more interesting. I either want a script about surviving my childhood (I went through abuse, neglect, poverty and life has gotten much better now[: ) or a design or script (or mixture) describing my love for music that kept me going through the toughest times. I'm not sure on placement.

Any ideas on short scripts or designs ? And opinions on placement ? (It's my first tattoo , by the way)
