I have 27 tatttoos and I have always been fascinated by them. I put a lot of thought and meaning into each of the tattoos that I wear.

When I see someone with a tattoo that I find interesting, I will politely ask them it's meaning. You would be very surprised to find out what some tattoos mean to others.

The only time I am disappointed, is if I ask someone about their tattoo and they say they got it because they "think it is cool". I don't like to see tattoos reflected as fads or something cool. I think that wearing body art, something permanent for the rest of your life, should reflect personal meaning to the wearer.

I was very surprised at something I encountered this past Saturday. My husband and I (he has no tattoos) were on a local casino boat cruise. It was an oldies cruise, so we were a lot younger than the average person. I kept count and I had 12 different people ask me about my tatttoos. This was amazing because I have never had so many people at one event ask me about my tattoos. The average person that asked me was over 70. They were all polite, intrigued, respected the tattoos as art, they wanted to know about the meanings, why I choice the specific design and area that I had the tattoo placed, which one was most special, they asked about my artist(s), and a ton of other very intelligent questions.

One woman, age 82, talked to me quite in depth. She had been married for 62 years when her husband passed away last year. Despite her age, she now wants to get a small tattoo on her chest with a heart and her husband's name.

Needless to say, this was an absolutely wonderful and surprising experience. It was amazing to be so well accepted and respected by people that I just met.

In some japanese theatre the masks are used in stories for female demons, who can only be released of their inhuman shape over the way to Buddha.

Because they are stupid. Personally, I wouldnt even want a "sexy" tattoo anyway- what the hell constitutes for a sexy tattoo?! A butterfly? How the f u c k is a butterfly sexy. I don't know. Who cares about sexy? I love the art in tattoos, and the stories behind them (although i feel aesthetics are a good enough reason to get a tattoo) and personally I cant even imagine what a sexy tattoo looks like lol. I love sleeves too, theres something about them thats just really...well, just great. I wouldnt get sleeves because they wouldn't suit me, but i cant see why a sleeve couldnt be as "sexy" as a small tattoo. Its all in the eye of the beholder. Some people talk utter boll o c ks to be precise, and those people should be ignored. -_-

That's completely debatable. Some people consider tattoos an art that can enhance someone's beauty. Everyone has a different opinion. Some people get tattoos because they mean something to them, others to show a commitment. It is their body so I don't really see why it would bother you.

I fail to see how a tattoo could make someone look mentally weak - that just does not make sense.

Someone told me that it was a gay symbol/signal to have a wrist band tattoo and I need to know. Was this person just crazy or is it true? I live in a place with many stupid people and just need to be sure.

Many men and women alike wear wrist bands, doesnt mean they are confused or even stating they are gay. yes i have seen the wrist band tattoo worn by a few gay men, but ive also seen it on some people that are definitely not gay. it goes with everything you cannot judge who someone is really untill you get to know them. this person could very well be but you wont know really until you talk to them.

for example, same with the color purple, it went round in our school if you wore it you were gay. doesnt mean anything, just sounds like petty childish talk to me.
