Answer
Personally I sort of like tattoos on the pubic mound in script. That way it is private and unless you are shaved no one knows it is there except him. Other than small or hidden, I am not a fan of female tattoos at all. Only problem is that the area is sensitive so it will not very comfortable getting it applied.

I'm kind of embarrased to ask...?

Is it normal for girls/women to shave their pubic area or does it not really matter?

Answer
This is a topic people get in ridiculous fights over. Women who do shave call women who don't gross, women who don't call women who do wh*res. Men always have a way they like it, and a lot of times its whatever way yours is not.

I shave....everything. I swam for many years and lycra suits pull hairs, it hurts. Shaving can be uncomfortable for some, especially if you have very coarse hair or sensitive skin or both. Waxing hurts, but makes for a very smooth result, however you have to let the hair grow in between treatments and I don't like doing this so I shave as I can keep it up daily.

Hair does hold on to bacteria, so it can cause smell faster. However I do not think it is uncouth or nasty to have hair if it is trimmed an the whole area is kept CLEAN so that the bacteria are kept at bay. Excessive hair can also hold on to ....well I won't go into gruesome details, but we all use the bathroom if you know what I mean.

I do think it is uncouth, personally, to have hair that peeks out of the bikini or swimsuit, that's just gross to look at. If you don't want to trim even, fine, but wear swim shorts that are a dark color.

There are different things you can do and it can be kinda fun for the DH. If you don't shave, why not try it to see if you like it? Hair grows back fairly quickly if you decide you don't. You can shave the sides an leave the bush, you can shave completely bald, you can do a racing stripe, landing strip, hitler mustache, etc. I even knew a girl who dyed hers! People shave hearts, stars, words, I even saw a girl who had a tattoo of a stick figure mowing her "grass" and had her hair shaved where it looked like the tattoo stick guy was removing her hair.

More women shave down there now than they did in the past, I think lead by magazines like playboy and also a general heightened acceptance of sexuality and the body.

If you think its cleaner or easier to stay cleaner, more couth for your swimwear, looks nicer of is more comfortable to shave or trim up, do it! If you don't like it, have hair. Some guys are grossed out by hair, but if it really matters a lot to them, they are usually shallow and worthless anyway. I think it mainly is only important to stay very clean and healthy down there.

If I had to guess, I think most younger girls are some kind of shaved, and I think most older women do not bother with it, but its up to you and what YOU like.

If you want to shave, use a new razor on this area (I have a seperate razor just for this area) and use a moisturizing shave gel for sensitive skin. Soak in warm water for a while before shaving to soothe the skin an relax the hair follicles and be careful when you shave. After you are done shaving rinse off, dry area and apply lotion. Give it a try if you don't already, you might not go back.

What are some areas of the body that girls should not get tattoos??? ?

Meli

Im curious to know some of your opinions.

Answer
Their private areas. (unless part of a full body suit) Most men find them something of a turn-off. I'm not speaking of their lower back. Nothing wrong with that. But the last thing a woman should do is get her breasts or pubic mound tattooed. Some women are of the mistaken impression that this would be a turn-on to guys. I'm here to tell you, unless it is amazing, out-of-the-ordinary beautifully done artwork, these areas should be left alone. I've seen some work done there worthy of recognition. But they are few and far between. Chestplates are a different story. (above the breasts, shoulder to shoulder) Those are fine. ON the breasts themselves, let's not. Take care.

Women with lower hip tattoos before and after pregnancy?

tattoos for women pubic area on thumbs gun tattoo 1 Gun Tattoo Designs

My fiance and i are getting married this summer, and plan on having kids together sometime. I am a pretty small naturally, work to keep my body in shape by eating healthy foods (vegetarian) and excercising, but i know that once pregnancy hits, i might not be so lucky!

I already have two tatoos, both are in areas that will not stretch when pregnant. I am getting a tattoo next month, already have the design planned out, but just wanted to get some feedback from women who have had tattoos BEFORE pregnancy.
The tattoo is going to be on my hip, not where most females get them on the hip bone, but fairly low, where the leg meets the hip, next to the pubic region.
so my question is, how many women have gotten a tattoo in this location, and how far down did your stretch marks appear during pregnancy?

any helpful, mature, comments and advice from personal experiences would be appreciated!

thank you in advance!!

Answer
I have a small tattoo in a similar location to where you want yours and I am 35-almost 36 weeks pregnant. I have had no stretch marks in that area at all, just a few little ones around my belly button.
I think you will be fine, but when you do get pregnant I recommend Earth Mama Angel Baby stretch oil: http://www.earthmamaangelbaby.com/stretch_oil.html
It's a little pricey, but it lasts throughout the pregnancy.

What are the effects of an STD/STD on the local regional and Australian community?

THE MERIDE

i need this 4 an assignment

Answer
Well its the same everywhere, not just on an australian community? i have some info for you which might help. But in every country/community its near enough the same. These facts could help you with your assignment

Who gets STDs?
Anyone who has had sexual contact can get an STD. Men and women of all ages, regions, ethnic backgrounds, and economic levels can get them. One out of four Americans between ages 15 and 55 will catch at least one STD. However, STDs are most common among teens and young adults, with about two-thirds of all STDs occurring in people under age 25. This is because young people are more likely to be more sexually active and take more risks, and the cervix of a female teenager is more likely to get infected by chlamydia and gonorrhea.

How are STDs spread?
Many STDs are spread through contact with infected body fluids such as blood, vaginal fluids, or semen. They can also be spread through contact with infected skin or mucous membranes, like sores in the mouth. You may be exposed to infected body fluids and skin through vaginal, anal or oral sex. Anal sex is very risky because it usually causes bleeding. Sharing needles or syringes for drug use, ear piercing, tattooing, etc. can also expose you to infected fluids.

Most STDs are only spread through direct sexual contact with an infected person. However, pubic lice and scabies can be spread through close personal contact with an infected person, or with infested clothes, sheets, or towels.

What are the symptoms of an STD?
Many STDs may not cause any symptoms. If you do get symptoms caused by an STD, you may think you have another disease, since STD symptoms are similar to those caused by other diseases. Symptoms vary for each STD, but they include sores or blisters on or around the genital area or in the mouth, pain or burning during urination, unusual discharge from the vagina or penis, itching, swelling, pain in or around the vagina or penis, pain in the pelvic area or abdomen (sometimes with fever or chills), or bleeding other than your menstrual period. If you have any of these symptoms, you could have an STD, but they might also not mean anything serious. Talk to your health care provider right away and get checked out to be safe.

How can I prevent getting an STD?
The best way to prevent getting an STD is to not have sex. There are many other ways to be intimate in a romantic relationship without having sex. Try massaging, cuddling, or kissing (this is safe as long as both partners don't have cuts or sores in the mouth â note that someone can spread herpes by kissing w/o having sores).

If you do decide to have sex, you should limit the number of people you have sex with. You should also try to choose partners who have not had sex with many other partners, who will have sex only with you while you are together, and who has never injected drugs. Remember, the more partners you have, the greater risk of being exposed to an STD. You should ask your partner if he/she has an STD, has been exposed to one, or has physical symptoms of an STD. You should not have sex with anyone that has signs of an STD (sores, rashes, or discharge from the genital area). It is also possible that your partner may have an STD without having any symptoms and could pass it on to you. If you think your partner could have an STD, even if he/she doesn't show symptoms, have him/her get tested before the two of you have sex.

If you are having sex, condoms are your best protection against STDs, even though they aren't 100% effective. You need to make sure that you use a new latex condom (or dental dam) correctly every time you have oral, anal, or vaginal sex. If you are allergic to latex, use a polyurethane male or female condom. Along with a condom, you should also use a water-based lubricant to keep the condom from breaking. Never use lubricants that contain oil or fat, such as petroleum jelly or cooking oil. These products weaken latex and can cause the condom to break.
Some STDs can't be cured, so you should always practice safer sex. Safer sex means finding ways to be intimate while lowering the risk of spreading an STD. This means preventing the passing of body fluids such as blood, semen, and vaginal fluids, and avoiding direct oral, anal, or genital contact (by using a latex condom).

Other ways to prevent getting an STD include:
Don't injecting drugs.
Avoid alcohol or drugs, since they can make you more likely to take chances with sex.
Don't douche, since this can cause germs to travel further up into your vagina.
What should I do if I think I have a STD?
If you have any symptoms of an STD, any unexplained problems, or you think you may have been exposed to an STD (even if you don't have symptoms), see your health care provider right away and get tested. You can't correctly test and diagnose yourself with an STD. Only your health care provider can do that. Most STDs can be treated. The earlier you get treatment, the better.

Sarah B

is the lower hip/pubic area a sexy place?

Answer
In the sexy places on your body.

What is the cultural reason that we have this fixation with removing body hair?

I actually live in Germany and that is just prejudice.
If you look at girlie mags from the 70s, 80s and early nineties you see that trimmed hair was not regarded as not hygenic.

Answer
Body hair removal is very old and was routinely done by rich ancient Egyptians 3,000-4,000 BC to discern them from the poor hairy barbarians. It's personal choice. If you ask 10 people you will get 10 different answers. But you are right in your assumption about the girlie magazines.

Pubic hair was always perceived as normal. It was considered as manly (eg Sean Connery as James Bond) to have body hair. Then all of a sudden all body hair was considered as ugly and unwanted! It is causing a lot of anguish to naturally hairy people.

In my humble opinion this change of heart can be attributed to the proliferation of pornography on the internet and magazines. Male and female porno actors' pubic hair are removed to get the best "view shots". The general public started copying it. Men and women all started removing ALL their body hair, because that is what is shown as the ideal image.

Until that time, ingrown hair was a nuisance only occasionally experienced by men on their faces. But since the whole body hair removal craze started, most people are having problems with ingrown hair, folliculitis, vaginal infections etc, etc. on all areas of their bodies previously without ingrown hair.

Hygiene has nothing to do with it. Actually one of the main functions of hair is to absorb sweat. Hair also act as natural protection against the chafing of clothes and normal bumps. Another function is to keep the body warm at its most vulnerable area, which is the area of procreation.

It is a fashion trend that might soon change back again to being fashionable to actually have body hair. Fashion trends change every few years. Quite possibly all the people who are now performing radical permanent pubic hair removal might soon be very sorry.

I mean, can you imagine how stupid the current generation will look when they are old. They will be totally hairless and covered with piercing holes and faded tattoos! But I say "each to his own". Life is about choices, but then you also have to live with the consequences of your choices.

Hairless or hairy? You must make up your own mind.
