Ok- So I want to be a make-up artist, But I hear you can't have anything tattooed on your wrist, is that true?

and if you CAN get a tattoo on your wrist, then what would be a good tattoo to get?
I was thinking "Believe" or "all you need is love" or a cross.. opinions?

It depends on the artist on how much the tattoo will blob. Personally I have seen tattoos that are 15-35 years old that look perfectly normal.

Tattoos are more accepted now a days as it goes. That spot can be easily covered by a watch, bracelet.

And if your going to be a makeup artist i'm sure you could find a way to cover it with makeup if absolutely neccssary.

When you think about it, as long as they don't see the tattoo's in an interview they can't fire you after because you have tattoo's that is discrimination. Which is illegal. That's like firing someone because their a woman.

I am interested in a personal tattoo, but I want to be absolutely sure that it does not go against God's will. I turned to the book of answers and found the verse above... What does it mean to me? It seems clear that the Lord is talking about "cutting and tattooing" FOR the dead.. maybe as a sacrifce? no where else does it specify in general ANY tatoo. Ofcourse as a christian woman i do not plan to get one that degrates me or tthat is corruptive but i simply want small musical notes, and a one of my favorite verse incorporated with the design...
please any advise, it will be greatly appreciated...
I put God first and want to hear other facts from followers of christ... maybe you know what i do not. Before I make a final decision.

My tattoo is actually an interpretation of a bible verse. It is Matthew 3.16 , when Jesus is baptized . A dove comes down from the heavens and lands on him. In some Bibles, it goes on to say the dove remained there forever. For that reason, I have an image of a dove, taken from a very traditional Irish cross that my grandmother willed to me, tattooed on myself.

I have a tattoo of a cross on my left arm, although you cannot tell what it fully is, until you look at my shoulder, I heard that I should be careful because if you are caught wearing a cross neckalace or something that shows your christian your safety is in question. Is it really that dangerous there? Should I keep it covered at all times whil I am there? Thanks for the replies!

Chinese are christians! Most have no religion. But as far as you...........they don't care what you are either!

I have seen many women wear necklace crosses, as far as knowing what it means, I have no idea if they know. As far as your tattoo I wouldn't hide it, but I certainly wouldn't flaunt it either. Keep your religion to yourself in China.

Do you REALLY want to do this? Because I am going to give you advice and I bet you won't want to take it, because it will detract 99% of the men who would otherwise hit on you, including the ones who you probably DO want to attract.

1. Cut your hair in a mullet. And don't style it all cute, with bangs that fall casually into your face. Have it blend really harsh, and have it be too short on the top for any girlish accessories. That, right there ... sends a clear signal to most men.

--- If the haircut isn't enough ---

2. Wear something like baggy cargo pants with suspenders, or overalls.

3. Get a few piercings, and wear jewelry that looks rough.

4. Try some anti-social or anti-establishment tattoos.

5. Clip your nails very short and don't put any glaze on them, at all.

DON'T

- wear makeup
- wear skirts, dresses, pumps or heels.

and EVEN THEN ... after you have made these modifications in your appearance, there will be men who approach you.

Better advice ...

Just politely tell men that you are not interested. Because unless you are willing to alter your appearance like that (which conveys signals that might draw other types of problems to you) men will still approach you.

Another solution that I used to use, was get a fake wedding set, and wear something like a very visible cross around your neck. That tells them "Christian Married Woman" and generally they will leave you alone. Religious men will leave you alone, and so will non-religious ones who are creeped out by your crucifix.
