What is the big deal about women getting tattoos?

I'm getting a tattoo in July, and I've been reading about tattoos to make sure it is safe. And I keep seeing these articles about how women with tattoos are "disgusting". How can a beautiful women with a nice feminine tattoo be disgusting? Why can men get sleeves, but if a woman gets a some-what large tattoo its considered terrible?

I`m old fashioned and prefer women with no tattoos. To me it`s advertising to be in a lower class, especially the body tattoos that are very visible no matter how they dress. I don`t look down on people with tattoos, I just prefer their natural self. To each their own and freedom to all.

What do you think of a large tattoo on a woman's arm?

I have a large dragon (coming out of some clouds) on my right upper arm. I got it about 10 years ago when I was younger and now I have been feeling self concious about it. It covers almost all of my upper arm. I have thought about removing it but that would cost thousands of dollars that I do not have and it would leave a large scar. Do you think I should leave it? I do recieve a lot of complements on it but I still feel that it draws attention away from the rest of me.

I know a few women you have met their husbands because of their tattoos. It seemed to be a good conversation piece to break the ice. I have one on my shoulder of a rose and I love it when people ask about it. My opinion........keep it.

I'm not talking about a tiny butterfly on the small of her back, I'm wondering about women who are substantially tattooed. Women with large or highly visable tattoos. Is it hot or not?

age 30 and that depends on the woman and the tattoo's she has. i see some that look awesome and some that don't of all ages. what do you think and whats your age and why are you asking ??? just messing w/ you.

I really like them and I'm even considering getting one but I am curious what the general public thinks of women with them? Large tattoos, at least where I live, are typically a male thing.

I think that no matter where you go, you'll have some people who love them and some who hate them. I've seen women with them, and I think they look great. Personally, I think it's your body, and you should decorate it any way you please, and be proud of it, regardless of what other people think
