Tattoo chinese symbol to link with friendship..... please read!!?

Samantha

I was best friends with a girl for 10-12 years and for her birthday we both got the chinese symbol of friendship on our left wrists. A few years later our friendship faded sadly. I do not regret getting the tattoo at all because she was a big part of my life but i want to get another tattoo on my right wrist that not exactly contradicts the other one but has meaning to the left also. I dont want anything like hate but if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I was initially thinking of 'karma' or 'broken' but i do not think it is what i am looking for.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Answer
Don't tattoo yourself with something negativvvvve.

Why not another complimentary quality, like loyalty or charity....something.

Should I get a tattoo on the back of my neck?

D2235

Im a guy and i want to get a chinese symbol tattooed on the back of my neck, but i was wondering would that be more for girls and should i get it somewhere else instead.

Answer
why a chinese Character? Are you Chinese? If not, getting another language tattooed on you is incredibly pretentious. There is a big cost to getting a tattoo, and it is far more than wasted money. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. Most regret it within 5 years. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. The regret starts after you start to notice how people react to you. Some will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. I suggest you do not get a tattoo. A tattoo is little better than a cartoonâyou canât get a good quality drawing on the human skin. It will deface your body like ugly graffiti defaces a public buildingThere are serious practical reasons not to get tattooed. Your chances of getting a good job will be greatly diminishedâmost companies will not hire you since your tattoo will be seen as offensive to other workers. The majority of western people get tattooed when young and their decision making process is not yet matured. Youth tends to be impulsive. Young people are still developing and they need to be very careful in making important, permanent decisions. The reasons young people get tattooed are not mature (i.e. they want people to notice them, they want to pretentiously âhonorâ someone in a way that will attract notice, they want to pretentiously present some âdeepâ quotation on their skin in the hope that people will think they too are âdeepâ, they are rebelling against their parents or society, they are conforming to what they think are social norms, they are unable to see ahead and view the negative results of their actions, etc.) If you want to see the true level of cultural development for tattoos and other body modifications, look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwOXCmjTsvs In a large sense, nothing illustrates the degeneration of western culture more than the entertainment industry encouraging impulsive youth to permanently disfigure themselves in order to âexpress themselvesâ. But such is the power of suggestion that more and more young people are buying into this Hollywood lie that tattoos are a cutting edge way to âexpressâ yourself. But that is so not true. You should express yourself with your words and actions, not by inking graffiti onto your living flesh, in a manner offensive to both man and God, who instructed us through His prophet Moses: "Do not cut your bodies⦠or put tattoo marks on yourselves. I am the LORDâ Leviticus 19:28. The message you will actually convey with a tattoo is âI am foolishâ, âI make bad decisionsâ, âI have no sense of right and wrong,â âI follow fadsâ and âI am unemployableâ. I am telling you this because I care about you and I want to help you. Good luck to you in your life. But do not get tattooed. Tattoos are permanent. You can not take them back.

How bad does a neck tattoo hurt?

Q. I am getting the chinese symbol for Destiny tattoo tonight on the back of my neck. However, I'm kinda nervous about the pain. My boyfriend recently got one on his neck and he said it didn't hurt. but then our friend got one on his neck and passed out but none of my girl friends have one there. I also have a tattoo on my lower back that goes up and down with my spine.

Answer
It depends on the person. My Leo insignia almost didn't hurt at all, and I have a low pain tolerance. My wrist, ankle, upper arm, and arm all hurt more. I plan to get my back done soon and will go in assuming that it will hurt slightly more than my neck.

Long story short: If you can handle the back (especially your spine), you can most likely handle the neck.

I would like to get the chinese symbol for cliche tattooed on me. What part of my body would more cliche to get it done: the ankle (like all the sorority girls) or the trampstamp (like all of the cougars)?

Answer
Since your question is obviously a joke, you might enjoy this story about a friend of a friend who got a chinese symbol tattoo: This person that i dont know got said tattoo. Then when an actual chinese person saw it, they questioned why he had gotten it. Then he found out that it really said, "I was raped by a large black woman".

How and why is all i ask???

Where would be the best place to get a tattoo?

Ricky

Hi. Okay well, where would be the best to get a tattoo for girls? My sister said she wants to be in a professional buisness careeer. But, she wants a tattoo of her name in chinese symbols. She wants it where nobody at work would really notice it. She really wants it on her arm though. Are doctors, lawyers, etc, allowed to have visible tattoos? or is that like a violation?

Answer
It really depends on the exact career she wants to go into. If I were her, I'd put in on my shoulder. I have a tattoo on my shoulder blade, and I'm planning on going into the Air Force, where no visible tattoos are acceptable. To create a sense of professionalism with a tattoo, and if she really wants it on her arm, maybe she can put it on the front of her arm near the shoulder, or on the chest.
