Tattoo Behind the Ear for male?

Ok I was thinking about getting a tattoo behind my ear at some point. I was just wondering a few things.

Most pictures I see online of behind the ear tattoos are on girls. Are behind the ear tattoos not socially excepted on males or something?

What good ideas to people have of a nice tattoo? I was thinking about like a music note or something. Since I'm big music fan. I don't want anything un-classy. Just something cool and appropriate

Would it really effect colleges and job applications? Seems like that would be discrimination and would be illegal.
Well I am almost 17 right now, so I suppose I have a year to think about it anyway.

As for appearance, I don't look like a gang member heh. I have 1 earing on my left ear that is a simple small silver loop. I have average length hair. Not really short but not to long either. I probably look more preppy then gangster with the clothes I wear.

I have a guy friend that has one behond his ear. It just may effect you getting a job, depending on the job or even where you live. Maybe you should get the job/get into college first and then get the tattoo. Here are some pics of other guys with behind the ear tattoos. Oh and if your hair is long enough it could cover it!

The area behind your ear is small. I have a libra symbol behind my ear and that nearly covered all the space.

A few words probably want fit, especially not with a picture.

Perhaps choose another spot.
Wrist?
Ankle?
back of neck?

The only words (And yes, only a word) that could fit would be,
"gamine"--playful, little girl.
"protégé"--protected
"adieu"--until God
You don't want the tattoo to small then you could hardly see it and the letters would be mushed together. Also, that would be extremely difficult for a tattoo artist to do, to actually write something that small.

Opinion on girls with tattoos...?

I've been thinking about eventually getting another tattoo, not for a while due to my last tattoo (I got the biggest piece I ever wanted done, so I'm pretty satisfied for the time being.) Anyway, my boyfriend of 2 years isn't crazy about them. I didn't get my 2 tattoos done without his approval, so it's not like he's mad or anything. I'm just curious as to what a lot of other guys/people think about them. There are certain tattoos I would LOVE to get, such as behind the ear or my wrist but then the side of me with morals kicks in. Some reason it bothers me to think of having a tattoo on my left wrist, the same hand I will wear my wedding ring but I've always felt like the right was a bad idea because that'll be the first thing someone sees if you shake their hand. I also think a lot about tattoos that would make it almost inevitable to cover up when I eventually get married. Don't get me wrong, I love my tattoos. But out of respect for my family, I would rather them be covered not by makeup but just a dress that covers them. Anyway, any opinions on all of this? Thanks!
Ok HI, I wasn't asking for people to tell me they are trashy. I'll reiterate, open minded opinions. Also, the family isn't very religious in that sense, and they are ok with my tattoos. It's just not something that they would want out in the open on my wedding day, mainly because it's big enough to be a distraction. My other tattoo is on my foot, so that's not an issue. And this is the USA, didn't ask about women in Asia.

If you know enough to hide tattoos, then you already know you should not get any. And yet, you have them, and even want more. Something is wrong with this picture! Here is my opinion on girls with tattoos: I recommend to men that they stay away from a woman with any tattoo, anywhere. I could say the same thing to women about men with tattoos. Tattoos mean trouble. Tattoos are a huge "red flag" that means one or more of the following:

"I will cause you big problems",
"Get to know me and you will regret it"
"I am immature",
"I am needy",

âI have no sense of right and wrong,â

"I have been to prison",
"I belong to a criminal gang",
"I am promiscuous",

A tattoo is little better than a cartoonâyou canât get a good quality drawing on the human skin. It will deface your body like ugly graffiti defaces a public building. I strongly suggest that you do not get a tattoo. There is a big cost to getting a tattoo, and it is far more than wasted money. The true cost of a tattoo is a lifetime of regret. Most regret it within 5 years. There is an 80% chance you will regret it in your lifetime. The regret starts after you start to notice how people react to you. Many people will look at you with disgust, for tattoos are offensive to many, many people. The majority of western people get tattooed when young and their decision making process is not yet matured. Youth tends to be impulsive. I've been searching online for a little bit but I can't seem to find many pictures of cursive writing behind the ear/across hairline. Help? And also what are your thoughts on tattoos there? I want to get a tattoo of the name of one of my best friends that passed away but I can't find any pictures of anything like that.

I really like tatts there. im getting my kids initials tattooed there it will just be a T and a N but ive seen tatts on girls with the cursive writing there and i think they look really good

I am turning 16 and for my birthday my mom is taking me to get my first tattoo :). im really excited but im not sure where i want to get it. I would like to hide it for when im at a job or trying to be serious but i would also like to show it off when i want it.
