What are your opinion on trendy tattoos?

Kitten Mit

They're ridiculous ..
Don't get me wrong tattoos are amazing, but trendy ones aren't. Because its TRENDY, trends DON'T last. They're trends. So what's "in" right now are infinity tatoos, feather tattoos (mostly feathers with birds flying out of them with some unrelated word like "dream" or "breath") and anchor tattoos.....like I see them EVERYWHERE! And its stupid.

I mean most girls just go on Tumblr, see a picture of someone with a feather tattoo with birds flying out of it, it has a bunch of reblogs so they think "I have to get that I'll be so cool!!!" So they get it. But what happens when the trend dies and people start making fun of it? Its already happening they're deamed as "white girl tattoos". So what happens when you decide you are over it? Too bad you're stuck with it your entire life.

If you're gonna get a tat you should make sure it represents you and your spirit, not some 2013 Tumblr fad. It should reflect YOU.

Thoughts?

Answer
I understand what you mean but bare in mind that the tattoos on there are just pictures taken. How do you know what that tattoo meant to that person? I wanted an anchor tattooed to my ankle. Does that mean i'm following a trend? no because to me is represented staying grounded and being true to yourself. Birds coming from a feather can mean different things to different people such as freedom or change. I understand that some people do sit and think thats pretty i'll get that cause everyone else does... but some tattoo designs can inspire a lot of different people. Don't be so quick to judge.

Style meets chemistry meets biology: We're talking hair coloring.

Playing with chemicals is not like playing with clothes, or doing a manicure, there are penalties for playing chemicals in the lab. Even hair color experts at the salon are not rocket scientists, they do a bang up dye jobs to their clients or their own hair.

London, Feb 20, 2013 I've been saying that since 2009.
Hair dyes, which include home hair colouring kits and those used at pricey salons, are linked to deadly cancer-causing chemicals, warn scientists. In 2009 the Mail revealed that women who used hair dyes more than nine times a year had a 60% greater risk of contracting blood cancer.
A year later the European Commission banned 36 hair dyes which put long-term users at risk of bladder cancer. < < < <â¨

The allergic reaction was caused by a well-known brand of semi-permanent hair dye Chloe used to turn her hair black for a Halloweâen party. . . . . called for beauty bosses to ban hair dye chemical PPD (para-phenylenediamine) from the shelves. 11-04-11

The chemical is not new and is present in a number of brands of dark hair colours, acting to help adhere the dye to the hair so that it doesn't wash out. Itâs made from coal tar and is used in both permanent and semi-permanent hair colours. Itâs well-known to be a cause of serious allergic reactions -- including something called contact dermatitis which can lead to rashes, blisters, and open sores.
PPD is sometimes added to black henna tattoos and that using them is not safe. Allergic reactions usually begin within two to 10 days following application. One bad reaction can lead to sensitivities to other products such as hair dye, sunblock and some types of clothing dyes. Oftentimes, it's using the product a second or third time. Skin specialist Najjia Ashraf reveals that there are barely any dyes that donât contain this toxin; even the ones who claim they donât, are not being honest. âBig brands often escape the blame by suggesting they are ammonia-free. However, ammonia and PPD are two very different things and PPD is present in nearly every dye because it is what gives off the colour,â she explains.

The British woman who went into coma after a reaction to hair dye has died after a year. Updated 11-25-12. The woman suffered a heart failure, struggled for breath and became unconsciousness. Her family blamed paraphenylenediamine, a chemical found in hair colour. Her family has now called for paraphenylenediamine to be banned from home dye kits. I Got a tattoo done on Jan 2nd 2013 of a girl on my arm (from a professional in a shop) But It Scard and lots of colour fell out. Its Still A Little Pink In One Spot over 6 months later!! im getting a touch up in 2 weeks as its sooo patchy. Ive had tattoos before and no how to look after them and this has never happend before. This is the 1st time ive been to this shop tho. Is it a bad tattoo artist (hes been working for 10 years) or is it somthing else? he also pritty much did what he want i told him i wanted it to be colour but more dark colours not bright colours but he mainley did all bright colours and did her skin yellow and her hair yello/ ginger when i said i wanted it dark brown!

Answer
I have a lot of tattoos, big pieces. Do not go back to the same person! It is going to hurt twice as bad and be twice as hard to tattoo over scar tissue, so got to someone who won't mess it up again! Don't be afraid to be adamant about what you want, these will be on you forever so you should get what YOU want, not what the artist wants. Bright colors will not stay in the skin as well as dark does and people tend to be allergic to colors more than black ink so your body was probably trying to put out some ink after it was done. It is normal to scar, but not normal to be patchy. As long as you took care of it once it was done (keep it clean, moist) it should have healed pretty well. I know artists who have been working their whole lives and I would never trust them with my skin, experience does not always equal talent. Don't be afraid to speak up next time or spend a little extra on a better artist, it is well worth it in the end. Good luck!

Answer
Pretty much everything you use in junior high, except most girls wear a tote or large purse instead of a backpack. You might as well just tattoo "FRESHMAN" on your forehead if you come to school with a huge backpack.

I had my hair pretty well bleach blonde for 14 years. So I decided to do something different. I let some of the blonde grow out on top then I let this girl without experience try to put in highlights in by Putting brown in bottom and with foil she put in a high lift blonde, witch was not suppose to get in the bottom that had bleach in it but it did, and she messed it up so a few people told me to go to this girl in a small salon that she could fix anything... So Here I go and so excited to get It fixed I spent $130.00 only to find out it was the wrong girl and she had not been doing hair that long, she put a glaze on the bottom to try to get out the gray tones and then she just highlighted the top and so now I have orange tone in top and brown with gray tones still in the bottom she said she couldn't highlight the bottom, after she did the top cause my hair was too damaged. I don't like it at all it looks nothing like the pic I showed her what I was going for what should I do??? Please hold rude comments this has truly been a nightmare!!!!

Celebrity wears two-tone hair dye all the time, trying to grow out their dye. They call that the ombre style.
