Sleeved out girls: How long on average does it take for the outlines to be filled in with color?

Q. I am getting all of the outlines for my upper arm half-sleeve done next Friday. My tattoo artist said the process would take about 3 hours. The dummy that I am, I forgot to ask how long the filling-in would take. I'm getting all Sailor Jerry-type stuff, three large and two medium pieces with some simple little filler figures. I'm 5'7'' and 120lbs so my arms aren't massive and I already have my inner arm completed.

More traditional Sailor Jerry tattoos are not as elaborate as Japanese ones for example. I am getting a pretty big pinup which I expect to be the most time consuming due to facial detail, etc.

But how much small detail is there... it can depend on how much detail is in the piece as well.

I'm wanting to add a small image of a pin up girl to my half sleeve I've started, but am having a hard time finding anything. I'd like a more modern style pin up girl, but anything will do because I plan on customising it to suit me. Any help is appreciated.

Oh, I already looked at tattoojohnnys.com and didnt find anything good.

Have you looked at art work by Olivia? Maybe that is too old school in feel. There are some photographers that are working in that style maybe do a google image search and see what you find. Maybe look at the Suicide Girls web site for inspiration.
